Review: The Paintball Arena was really fun to play at until they moved to there new location, The reason I went was because they lay out was cool, the staff were terrible, but the lay out was cool. The New arena has the same old staff ( which i think are getting worse rather then better) and the new lay out is garbage, the ground is made up of pebbles and stones, it is very easy to slip, sneaking around is impossible do to the noise the stones make, and if you try to slide behind a bunker and someone else is near buy there is a very good chance you could crack there lenses. i personally do not find it very reassuring when the ref goes to chrono my marker and doesn't have a clue how to work it. ( I was using a Tippmann A-5 at the time, hard to get much simpler then a tippmann.)
Also there prices are really high, $10 for 90 ( they don't even give you 100)

Review: The faciity was great. The experience was excelent and worth every penny.

The staff did a great job at briefing novices.
Other members were very helpful and worked with novices to make the games enjoyable and make sure everyone followed the rules.

There seemed to be an endless amount of game senarios. The ref was keen to identify strong and week players and mix the teams to make the senarios best. They would also leave a team together to let them develop.

The staff was very helpful and would replace guns and provide tips. They were very safety conscious and professional.

The field was great as could be expected for indoors. Changing the City and Sherwood Forest on ocation would interest me. Great veiwing areas for spectators and novices. Neat store.

Excellent. I will be back. I am hooked!

I have been to Flag Raiders a few times also but there a much more expensive.
Review: I love this place. I am not only a long time member there but I also hold special work groups for my parents. Everyone always has a great time and leaves with a smile on there face since you can get different private packages so that you dont have to play with aggresive members.

However although I do love the place there are a few things that need to be improved. Such things as locker space would be nice, right now you can have a table in the staging area but anything important has to be left in the car. Which is a pain in the butt.

Personaly though I wouldn't go anywhere else expesially since its new location is so close.

There are a few thnigs that I dont like about this place but the rest are fine, try it out of your looking for an afforable place to try paintball, they treat new players very well.

Review: they have moved to a bigger and better location, with an upstairs lounge and a basement with soon to be member lockers. they have a very big proshop (allmost the size of badlands), they just need to get some more stuff in stock.

as for the feild, it's big and the setup is awsome. the flooring on the feild is small round gravel, it takes a couple games to get use to but its alot better than sand.

the refs and employees are very nice and helpful. one of the old refs were a abit rude but they were the only one. most of the staff is very noligable and can help out with almost any problem u may have with your gun or gear. and if they cant help one of the members/ gun owners can.

friday night is for the more experienced player and offers a faster velocity of 250fps instead of 230fps. there is a better price for paintballs on friday aswell. along with the good prices for paint there is also a chance to play agaisnt better people, improving your skills

Haven't been.
Review: The Paintball Arena has moved to 69 Agnes St. Kitchener Ontario .

I like The new field setup much more than the old. The have a town setup and beside a fake forest, for speedball etc.. The games are tons of fun especial for people new to paintball. Some of the employees are rude and will not help, but are much nicer than at the old arena. They have a second floor for observation and will be building a second floor on the castle. The teams are made much better than before and are quite fair most of the time. I had my birthday party there Wednesday the 17th. there were about 25 newbies and 3 people that have played before and about 10 members. The members asked that we played members vs all and the refs asked me whether or not I wanted to. I said sure and the ref told them not to complain is they got their butts kicked. Of course we killed them all. They won 2 out of about 15 games and the ref told us newbies thanks because the members had to notice that just because they are members doesn't mean they will win. The ref tried to make the teams fair, but they didn't want it that way so please if you havn't been to the new arena and haven't played there don't call the refs and employees mean. I have only met one employee there that seemed rude. You must play to say. Also, at the new arena they have but down a large amout of gravel instead of sand which is much better for the guns. The gravel makes it harder to run and swerve but I'd rather not be able to run in zigzags then have sand in my gun.

Yesterday I went paintballing and bought a paint grenade(Tippmann Squadbusters). One of the staff sold it to Me and told me that for it to work all you had to do was hold the cap, shake it, pull the pin(while holding the cap)and then throw it. well, It was My 1st time using a grenade and the staff member, being the one in charge at the time gave me no instructions as to how to throw it. In a game, there were 4 people in a room hiding, so i decided to use the grenade. i shook it, pulled the pin and just tossed it in the room. Basically, from what the people in the room said, (I ran because I heard the squadBuster's can have up to a 30 foot range) all it did was drip paint out of the ends of the tube. I went in and told the manager who hadn't been there at the time the staff member sold it to me, and he said that you had to throw it hard as to burst the plugs in either side of the tube. Hal, If You read this, Can you please do something about it?

Review: My friends and I wanted to try out a couple playing fields as we are fairly new to the sport. We went as a group of 5 people who are all new to the game except for one of us. Needless to say it wasn't a great experiance. I personally had problems with my shooter, but I cannot belive having the staff members rolling their eyes when I had to go back for help a second time. One guy on the other group we were playing had his marker shooting way too fast, as even the paintballs had a certain wizz to them as they flew through the air. It was a challange to get the refs to get his shooter looked at and amazingly enough they had to turn it down when they did. I liked the setup on the field and hate to say that it would be an awesome place if the staff became a lot more friendly. I don't think we will be going back. It's amazing how staff can reflect on a field no matter how good it is.

Review: Nice field overall scenarios are very fun, i could play crossover all day but theres one problem STAFF. We were playing crossover when i get shot in the mask,so i go to ask the ref to clean my goggles before i tag up (to get reinserted into the game) the reff thells my to "go tag up now" i get a little mouthy could u just clean my goggles i dont want to walk into a wall. he hesitates goes and does a paint check, i get lit up by a noob with foggy goggles (it's too dark) then i ask one of my teammates who has an autococker if i can use his squeegee he tosses it to me and im ready to go.

Good: Nice field, great membership cost, fun scenarios

BAD:STAFF, lighting and rentals

Overall this field is fun for the first timer but for anyone whose been painballing 15+times its a waste of money i recommend renegade painball in guelph.

flag raiders- best field but very expensive
Review: The field is alright because of the price, but that's about it.

the layout is good for a novice field like it says but there's nothing wrong with that. The bad part is the walls and ground is covered in paint. There's a lot of sand that also gets in your gun.

The lighting is REALLY bad...it's way to dark and you can't see much, they need more light!!!

The one male ref is a rude guy! I needed a flathead screwdriver to fix a part on my gun, so i go up and ask him and he says "No!" right away!! he doesn't even bother looking! what paintball place doens't have a screwdriver?

the staff also make the teams so uneven it isn't even funny...everytime i've been there they put the newbs on one team and the pros on another.

Review: The Paintball arena is exactly as they say, meant for beginners and intermediate players. Prices are average and the layout is pretty decent. Employees have become a more social and helpful. The rental guns are not the greatest due to use/age/abuse. Don't come looking for speedball here, but they do have some interesting scenarios that are played occasionally. Lots of sand for slides etc, but everything is covered in paint (walls, floor, players). I still go here from time to time, but would never bring my A-5 here, I use an older marker that I don't mind getting grit in. This field is a little small after playing outdoors for so long, but is still sentimental as it was the place that I started playing paintball at.

Flag Raiders ... one of the best outdoors but pricey
Flag Swipe(outdoors) ... great terrain and awesome natural features
Paintball City... dirty but good staff
Sgt. Splatters ... great if you like biker bars
Ultimate Adventures ... best set up for outdoor practice and tournament
Review: The Paintball Arena is my home turf ... I learned to play here. I'm a Platinum, life-time member and know the staff, and players.

Probably one of the best indoor setups for field design. It has a good layout and the games they play there are excellent for the field. There are NO second story elevations and that is a negative.... I've always wanted to shoot down on people... they have the height... but the owners state it's safer with no stairs.

The games they play are mostly home-grown ideas and there is a tremendous variety.
My favorite night is definately Friday when the calibre of play steps up a notch.

They call their field a novice / intermediate field and i tend to agree. I think that's where a lot of problems come with "staff" concerns. The staff try hard to mix and match skill levels of players and I've seen many instances where experienced players from out-of-town have walked away upset because they wern't allowed to get away with some of the crappola that they get away with at other fields.

The staff and owners will shut you down if you cheat or try to run over the newbies... and i think that's a good thing. Newbies LOVE this field and I think MOST people walk away happy.

For experienced players... you might be a little dissapointed.

For first timers or those looking for a fun recreational field... THIS is one HECK of a good field !!!
