haven't played at any fields in other than this one in the Spokane area
Review:
The people that work here are kewl and helpful. It's pretty cheap to play ,$10 for all day and u can bring your own paint. Those were about the only positive comments about the field. They barely have any reffing here one ref starts the game and ends it, they really don't watch the game. People here play on with obvious hits...they don't even attempt to wipe. They look at there hit then continue to shoot. The safety here really sucks too, people are walking around without condoms or masks on the field. The chronograph isn't accurate at all, they give you about a foot to measure your ball. The indoor field is really close combat with many rooms for newbies and rec. ballers.
I think it was 3-4 months ago a guy lost an eye playing in it. The last thing I'ld have to say about the field is the air field isn't really set up that well both center sides can not see the middle or the oppsite center, and the 50's are very low. It's very easy to bunker people. The games do go by fast and it was still fun. They just need to work on there refs and safety matter.
I went to Virtual Assault June of 2002, on arrival I was a bit nervous, because there were a lot of people there who knew what they were doing. I wasn't sure how I would fit in, never having used a semi-automatic paintball gun before. We walked in the door, and hit it off with the staff immediately, they were very kind, and helpful. We got our guns, masks, and paintballs. Which i might add were in great condition. (never broke a ball in my gun) After getting prepared in the staging area, my friends and I, there were 4 of us, were taken on a tour and shown the indoor field. The guy showed us some of the better places to hide, and laid out the rules.
As i said before, their equipment, although old and used looking worked very well, the staff was great, the only thing I really didn't like, is that the course we played on (the indoor one) wasn't very big, and smelled like old milk (because it used to be a rendering facility).
