This is the first field that I played on when some of my friends started bugging me to play. The staff has always been nothing but courteous and friendly. Although they have no pro shop, the owner does repairs, practically for free, and busts his hump to make sure that everyone has a good time. Although there is only the sign in owner's front yard to tell you where the place is, the field's website gives a strip map and instructions on how to get to the field. Because of Lawton's street layout, it's not too hard to find. The Arena currently has three fields, but appears to be expanding to a fourth. The prices are either equal to or cheaper than what you will find in OKC, but the service is what sets this field apart. I enjoy playing at other fields, but if something happens to my marker, I'm just not near as comfortable letting some of the other "airsmiths" look at it as I am with Ed. He shows you what is wrong with it and shows you how to make the repairs on it, so you can do it yourself if one of those who likes to tinker with your marker.
This field is incredible. I was very sad when I had to move to Alabama. You guys reading this need to get down to support Ed and his field. And mention Little Mike while you're at it. I had the best of times while I played there, made some really good friends too. I hope that everyone that reads this will go find what paintball is about. The refs are top-notch and the support you get from the staff there will blow you away. I was extremely disappointed in the paintball scene here in Alabama when I moved just because I was expecting the same thing I had gotten out of The Arena. This field made my paintball experience really awesome. I can't wait untill I can visit again!
They only have 3 speedball fields, but, wow talk about some great customer service. I noticed a young kid that had a Brass eagle gun go down while he was playin, the owner grabbed a rental and let him use it until his gun got fixed, for free. The ref's were in charge and watchin the game. They tried to keep the games as evenly matched as possible. I would highly reccomend going here, from the experienced player to the first timer.
As for the other guy that posted about welts, lol. If you play you get welts. It doesn't matter if they are 300+ or 250 fps. Dude your hilarious LOL.
These folks offer really good prices and have 3 fields. The netting on the fields is in need of repairs, the refs arent on top of things at all. I watched a guy while he went to chrono and everytime he fired he set off the buzzer. He repeatedly fired and rang the alarm. A few minute later after he went back to the bench and adjusted his velocity he went to chrono again, again the alarm rang. Next thing we knew he was on the field and firing away. Not a ref in site, that guy put welt on all of us at one point or another. This did happen later in the day, the mourning was a lot of fun I brought alone 2 player that had never played before. So all in all the day was a great success, the two new guys are hooked, I recommend that the owner fix the netting and monitor the goings on a little closer.
