This is a nice facility that has 7 fields, a proshop, and a firing range. Th e facilities are nice and well maintained. It is a bit of a do it yourself field as there are no game referees or people there monitoring the field making sure that masks stay on and barrel plugs are used. This bothered me as 10-12 year olds were shooting guns 1-2 feet away from other kids sitting down. As an adult we got the kids to keep masks on and not shoot in common areas, but some facility policing would be nice. It also helps when referees divide teams up to make sure they are equal and competitive.
The people are friendly and we were made to feel welcome by many of the locals who were very good players.
THe best thing about Cedar Hill Farms is the price. You do not have to buy overpriced paint in order to play. You can bring your own paint or buy theirs. The prices range from $50 - $90 per case depending on the grade. This makes a day at Cedar Hill about half the total price of Paintball Park in Memphis.
We are definitely going to make this a regular place that we visit.
Here is an update 1/2/04. PBReview will not let me post another review since I reviewed this field already. This is an important addendum. Cedar Hill Farms has now hired Refs that run the games and police the areas. They were enforcing the barrel plug and mask-on rules. In large games they had several refs in the game or people volunteered alongside the refs. Good job Cedar Hill! A great improvement. This has now become our main playing field! Also the gunsmiths fixed a pretty advanced problem on an E-Blade. Pretty knowledgeable.
