Review: I decided to go on a whim one day and I toke my brother with me for his first time. We played many like seven games in 5 hours or so. The refs did a good job of keeping the games moving. There was one bad apple that I saw whipping paint off. I wish they had a couple more refs and split up the 25 on 25 into two games. I like playing airball and they really have nothing other than woods and 2 speedballs that they tryed playing both at once. I like fast paced games and the big groups made for fun but kinda slowed the day down. Most people say the paint is high priced at $80 a case but it is cheap considering that the rental is free for anyone that wants to take advantage of it.

Review: This is an excellent place to play. They have great fields and a great staff that will help you with anything you need. They also have free admission days at least once a month so you can play there a lot without spending a lot of money. The pro shop is small and the paint is $80 a case but the refs keep the games moving and keep the teams fair. They got me hooked on paintball and it's a blast. You won't regret playing here.

Review: This weekend was the first time I have played at ACTION PACKED. The owners are outstanding. This is a the best field I have been too to take kids and just have a great time without worring about a new player or child having a bad experience. First my son and I had a problem getting our markers to come down to 250 BPS. The owners gave us springs to use and were more helpfull than any other field I have ever played on. During orientation they took the time to show my sons friend how to use the rental marker and answered any qustions we had. This is the best field I have ever been to for taking your kids and for customer service. The refs are great and alwys willing to help. They do a great job on paint checks and getting people organized and back on the fiels for as manay games as they can get in in one day. I will defintly be back there in 2007. Everyone was friendly, including the other players that showed up for walk on play. This place was more about saftey and having fun playing this sport than most fields in the area. If you are looking for a fun day with great people. please visit ACTION PACKED PAINTBALL IN WATERLOO, WISCONSIN. Bring the kids with you and they too will have an awsome time. The only thing I would change is switching sides after each game on a field so you get two games each time you head back out. Again, if you have not played here and are looking for great service with a great paintball attitude for adults and kids, this is the place to go.

Review: When we first arrived there we went to the house where we had to pay and It was very clean and organized. The staff was really friendly and the prices where very good. After we payed we got the safety overview and it was well done. After that we got organzied with the other walk ons and began to play it was alot of fun there was about 20 people we played with the refs where very good with getting the games going and monitoring them one guy was taking the paint off of him and I told the ref and he went and told the manager and he came out and told anyone that if they do it again they are out I thouht that was awesome. The fields where very cool and very big.
Pro:
Friendly Staff
Great fields
good people to play with
Prices

Cons:
They kinda need a bigger sign to let you know where it is
there is really no food there so bring your own lunch

Review: This weekend I played Action Packed Paintball's opening weekend, when they had free admission.

To start out with, the owners are incredibly nice. When you register, the owners will introduce themselves to you and give you a very comprehensive explanation of rules and safety. It was a classy touch to be addressed in groups of 3-5 people by the owners (rather than have a bored teenage ref just yell or mumble the safety rules at a crowd).

Something extremely cool about this field: they have "lockers" behind the front counter. When you register, you get an wrist band with a number on it. The number corresponds to your locker, and only the staff has access to the locker. You can keep your keys, wallet, cell phone etc there so that they don't get lost. I kept my paint in it, too... then on breaks between games, I ducked inside really quickly to reload my hopper. The lockers elminated the need to go back to our car after every game to reload. Huge kudos for this benefit!

The paint price was a little expensive ($80.00 for a case, $29.00 for 500) and they did charge $1.00/1000 psi for compressed air fills. You can get a season pass for $50.00 that knocks the case price to $70.00 and I think it gives you free admission too (I think admission is $15.00 w/your own gear). We brought all our own gear, so I don' t know how the rentals are.

They do have a pretty decent looking store inside the main building, including complete markers to purchase. I have seen some reviews that advised bringing your own lunch, and I did bring my own lunch & drinks... but I usually do anyway.

The staff and refs were incredible. They were all EXTREMELY nice. After we checked in, we went to our cars to get our gear and one of the refs actually came up to us to ask if we were ready to chrono. He was very polite, and I was impressed that I did not have to search for somebody to chrono.

Waits between games were extremely short. The refs kept the games going all day. We were ready to play some time between 11:30 and 12:00, and played until 4:30. We took a 2-3 game break for lunch, and we still played 6 games.

In between games the refs constantly rebalanced the teams, which was nice. For the first couple of games, there were 8-12 people per team. As the day went on, a ton of people showed up and they created two more teams so that two games were running at the same time for the rest of the afternoon.

The field is great. Lots of rolling terrain, trees, bushes, bunkers, forts - you name it and they've got it. The field appears to be very well kept. Make no mistake, this is a woodsball field, and a very good one at that. They have two fields roped off that they call speedball fields and they are wicked. They are smaller sized fields but they go down a sweet hill that also pitches from left to right too.

This was the best day of paintball I can remember in a long time. The staff and other players were all very very friendly. I live about 2 hours away and I am considering buying the season pass.

I would recommend this field for anybody who wants to play some woodsball. I will definitely be going back!

Review: For starters their prices are reasonable (as if P.B. wasn't expensive) and the people there are very friendly and for the most part knowledgeable. I've been there a total of 8 or 9 times and every time i was there, there was always plenty of refs on hand at any given time. You get a wide variety of fields to play, anything from 2 opposing forts to taking the ridge. As well as a couple speed ball courses. The fields are also well balanced, giving each team a fair opportunity. I would highly recommend this field to any beginner or veteran alike. My only other advice is bring a lunch if you plan to stay all day because although they do have food its mostly hot dogs or candy bars.

Review: I was told about this field from a couple of friends of mine and drove up from Rockford, IL. It was about a 70 mile drive and completely worth it. APP had a two day event going on. Oct 1st and 2nd. They have a nice setup area and workshop isnt to bad either. The speedball court is seperated by nets next to the big field and is really nice if your into that sorta play type. The big field on the other hand is just huge. They have 3 bases. One for red and other for blue obviously. The 3rd can be used when you dont have so many people, therefore you play the width of the field. If you captured the flag it would take you probably 5 minutes to run from one side to the other. What I really appreciated was the amount of refs that were on duty there. Where ever there was a small or big firefight going on, there was a ref close by watching. So anytime you called for a paintcheck, you could be assured someone would hear you. My gun started giving me trouble the second day and the people there let me use theirs for free. Great bunch of people there.

Review: When my team first went here it was sort of dull from first look. they don't have much of a shop either. but there fields are very big! the speed ball field was very good i liked there bunkers. they have a 2 fort field, its less than a half mile away from each other. they also have just one big fort which was really cool but i got lost in there once. APP is more of a scenario play with 30 people than speed or hyper ball. then they have big games with is all the fields put together into one big field were the games last for 1 hour and 45 Min's. and all the fields put together is like less than 2 miles. over all i like this place. even though were sponsored by them. but i think they really really need a pro shop with good gun instead of wal mart guns that are 40 bucks.

Review: I had my first experience with this field today, and it was an extremely positive one ! The fields are laid out really well, and the single fort and double fort fields are fantastic. All you woodsball players out there must give this field a try. The owner's put real effort into making sure every player has a good time. We had all ages and skill levels today, and the games were set up accordingly. You never need to feel intimidated if you are a rookie witha rental. The "regulars" I spoke with were very help full with field advice. These are very large fields, having someone there to point you in the right direction is very help full. I did not encounter anyone with a bad attitude like you get at some of the other fields with the "regulars" that think THEY own the field.
There were plenty of walk-on's today, 20-30 so I think the word is getting out on this newer field. Anyone with in 75 miles should give this field a try. Or if you are tired of the speed-ball nonsense, give these hard working folks a try. You won't be disappointed.
It is field paint only, $70 a case. That is not bad, I've paid more elsewhere. Another big plus for rookies, the rental markers come with HPA, no CO2 problems. They have a compressor and can fill 4500 psi tanks. Check their web site for all the info.
