Jungle Cat (never played on, but, from what their site shows, it looks decent)
PB Daves (My friends have played there, and they do not like it. Too many -'s to list)
PB Sams (Could be better-->overpriced is one reason why, a couple fields need to be fixed,...)
There are many more, but I have not played on them.
Review: All in all, this is a good field to play on. The owners care a lot about the player's experience on their field, and, once in a while, they play as well. There are about 7 fields to play on, and a possible one, from what I have heard, in the making. Most of the fields are woods, but 2 are speedball/hyperball fields. All are in good shape. Twin forts are my personal favorite.

$80 for a case of paint is high, but I do see a few fields that are either equal or more. Compared to fields that are field paint only, they are fair. Also memberships are $50 and gets you: free admission for the year, free air refills, and discounted paint prices. I looked on a few websites and noticed a few fields are not close with membership +'s and -'s.

My experience with the refs have been pretty good. Sometimes, refs will give you the choice of game to play and from available fields. Also, from this past weekend, if you call for a paint check, or think your opponent needs one (need to make sure they are not cheating), they are pretty quick about it. They try to stay on top of things.

For new players that are intimidated by more experienced players, they run a game with only new players that are using their rentals, while another game is run with players that are either renting or have their own markers. Personally, I started out against more experienced players, and I did learn more from them, like how to be more aggressive. Though, I can understand why some new players would not.

For only being around for a couple years, this place is my favorite. To let you know, I would not drive 40 miles to go to a place if I did not like it.

EDIT: I just played today, and I had gun trouble. I was going to call it a day, but Greg let me use one of the rentals. They certainly have the best customer service in my opinion.

Review: I don't have much experience with other fields, but this place is great.
The terrain is incredible, any kind of outdoor conditions you're looking for, they got 'em. Including 3 different 2 level forts. It's still a reletively new facility that'll only get better. The only negative I can think of is that some of the refs need to be trained better, this too should improve with time. The owners are genuinely interested in your opinions and happy to help you out with any kind of questions or comments that you may have, or even just chat for a bit. They go out of their way to make sure you're having a good time. Whether it's a walk-on game or private party, they aim to please.
Prices are reasonable, in checking with all the other fields in the area, these guys are as good or better. Nobody wants to pay $80 a case, but show me a field that's cheaper. Rentals are cheap. They frequently hand out free passes, always have free admission & rentals on Memorial Day & Labor Day weekends.
Experienced games are chrono'ed at 270 fps, beginners at 250 fps.
For all the details, check out their website.

Review: APP is truly a top of the line outdoor paintball recreation center especially for woodsball players.

The fields offer many types of terrain from, woods, fields, hills along with many types of cover, like barrels, bunkers, 2 story forts!! It is a very clean and well kept facility with excellent refs.

Speaking of the employees of APP, they are some of the best hosts to the game of paintball ensuring that everyone is having a good time, from beginners to seasoned vets. Always willing to help, very laid back, yet keep a very professional attitude toward their customers, business, and the game of paint ball!

The one and only slight downfall is the price of paint is a little steep. Discounts are offered to members of which the fee is only $50 a year and good from the date you sign up, but the paint is still a bit expensive at $70 being a member, $80 a case if not a member.

Paint can be purchased much cheaper anywhere... but finding a good place with good fields can not. It would be great and resonable to see APP lower the price on paint a little since everyone knows paint is so much less expensive in stores or online, and raise their price on field fees as $15 dollars seems a bit low for such great and large fields.

Otherwise if insurance isnt a problem charge a small fee for BYOP.

That said I love playing at APP, good people, nice players, loads of fun!!!

Review: The first time I ever played paintball was for my bachelor party and we went to Action Packed paintball. The staff was extremely helpful and nice, always being clear with instructions and hints for the first timers. The fields were awesome! I think there's 8 in all, 7 woods fields, and one speedball field which is pretty small. The woods fields are very large and can easily accomodate teams of 8 each. We all had a great time, the staff, once again, was excellent.

Since then I have bought my own equiptment and have gone back several times to Action Packed. The fields are amazing, and very challenging since most of the experienced players come in full camo, or even ghillie suits. The fields all have tons of natural cover, with man made bunkers to compliment the woods (spools, barrels etc). I can't say enough good things about the staff, they've always been very helpful and friendly, they really want to make the experience a pleasent one. The players that come out have also been great in my experience for the most part, nice guys who know their stuff.

My only complaint would be prices on gear. I would have bought my marker from them for sure but their marker prices are much too high. They come with a free years "membership", which is a value of $50 I believe, but the gun price is marked up 50 bucks from what you'd pay from a regular retailer, so you really don't get a discount at all.

Paint prices are pretty good, 80 bucks for a case of 2000, and you have to use field paint.

My suggestion to Action packed would be to keep up the great work with the staff and the fields, but to expand on the retail side of things a little more and improve the prices. Overall I give them an excellent score. I highly recommend them for a great game of woods ball!!

Review: The first time I played at Action Packed was on Fathers day 2003. At that time there were only 5 fields available to play on. Walk on game team sizes were from 4 to 8 players. The fields were sparsely filled with barrels spools and boxes. The experience was first rate. A very friendly owner and staff helped make my decision to return. Seance then I have been back 4 more times. In that time they have added 3 more fields and a giant 2 story castle. Multiple small houses and bunkers plus many more barrels crates and spools have also been added to each of the other fields. The average number of players on a walk-on team has averaged over 10. The attitude of the guests is always upbeat. I have never witnessed a fight or even an argument. Much of this can be contributed to the firm, fair and knowledgeable staff. The only thing better than the guests are the field conditions. Wild undergrowth, rolling hills, and natural and man-made positions make these fields a worthy challenge for the most experienced players while providing a great environment for beginners. The field guns, which are piranhas, are well maintained and powered by air, although co2 is available for carry-on guns. The guns are chronoed at 250 which I am told is low, but the owner is establishing a new policy of having games of only experienced players with their own guns and have them chronoed at 270. All in all this is a great place to take your 14+ aged kids to enjoy a day in the woods.

Review: To sum it up - This place is already great and its going to be awesome once they get everything built - While my experience may be limited I know I don't need to look any further than Action Packed. After my first day there my friend and I both bought a yearly membership - Which by itself is a great deal in comparison to other fields - The owner and his staff are great to deal with. There prices are very competitive with other fields on paintballs - a little less than most that I've called around to. Its just an all around great place to spend a day.

Review: This field is awesome!! There is so much potential for it to be the top field in the state. The field is fairly new but after talking with the owner and picking his brain about what his plans are it is going to undoubtedly be one of the best. The terrain is awesome and the fields make use of every hill, valley and wooded area. I can't wait to watch this field grow.

Review: This field is brand new (opened in February 2003). I can tell they have put a lot of work into the fields and the staging area. They have built a new building with a cement floor and electricity!!! (some of the fields i have played have no more than open-air tents)

A word of caution, this place is so new that when me and my 3 friends showed up on Sat. morning we were the only 4 players there for 4 hours. It was cool though cause the owner's let us go play honor system and no refs.

I do give them credit for the work they have done, but they have a lot of work ahead of them still. Fields consist mostly of the pallets, barrels and cable spools that are standard to any new field.

With that said, they have just finished 2 ply-wood forts that have 3 levels to shoot from and I was told that the owners plan to build another field that will have a structure in the center of the field, which will also be three levels but it will be twice as large as the other two. Action Packed currently has five fields with 3 more under construction.

This field has a lot of potential down the road, but as of May 2003 it still has some problems to work out. Like the fact that the bunkers on the speed ball course are 20 to 30 feet apart, and since the course is partially on a hill, the bunkers tend to roll away (at least the cable spool bunkers anyway).

With all that said, I must admit I did enjoy playing here and me and my friends are planning to return to Action Packed in 3 weeks.

Review: I played here recently for the first time, and I have to admit I did have fun. They really do have a lot of work to do, such as leveling the road coming in, tearing out some brush, and building up the fields. But it does have a good chance to be an excellent field in the future. It is owned by the ex-owner of Sam's, and he was doing most of the reffing and even got in and played with us. We played with a small group of newbies, and it was unfortunate because I got stuck on a team that really did not know what they were doing and they ended up getting me shot a few times due to poor communication and fire support. Some cons of the field are the reffing is iffy sometimes. I was in some high brush to get a sniper position on a guy and some one saw me and fired some shots into the area, none hit me but I got some splatter, but nothing too big, and I got called out from it. Also they want you to chrono at 250 which I think is ridiculous to be honest, because most if not all markers have the best range and accuracy at around 275-280. Maybe they might bump it up a little. All in all, this field will be nice in a few years, so I would recommend it for the next few years but skip it this year.
