Im at Splat everyweekend reffing and these are the facts (to post below):
1. We have over 10 large and sturdy tables in the staging area.
2. The only time there is any mud is if it has been raining for a week straight.
3. There atleast 2-3 refs at splat on saturdays and sundays, the amount on the field depends on the number of players.
4. We do not work for free, our ages are from 16-25, and we are all trained and have been playing for 3+ years.
5. We say the rules everytime we see new players, if we dont see you just ask for the rules.
6. We chrono all markers before play AND while the game is being played, no one has ever been caught shooting 380.
7. We have a 10 man ultimate air field and 4 wooded courses.
This is a great field. They have a desent pro shop. Bruce the owner/operator will price match anything for you. The Ultimate air field is great. Currently its a 5 man set up but they expect another 5 man in this week if it isnt already there. There are a couple woods fields that I didnt play because Im not fond of woods fields. So I cant tell you what they are like. The only thing I have to complain about was safety issues. The netting wasnt all the way up so when you where out of the game you had to keep your mask on whether you had played that game or not. Barrel blocking device rules werent enforced very well either. Seemed that there was more concern about Sluggers and Putters no smoking rule. :) Other then that it was a great time. If you want to see some pictures of the Ultimate air set up check out the pics page on my web site at www.members.lycos.co.uk/teamministry. They will be adding a full service out of game area soon as well so you wont have to hike back to the proshop to get air. Its a bit of a walk. Like I said though it was fun. I highly recommend it.
Bruce, the owner, does a good job running the place. I've only played on the airball field during his league in the summer. It was always set up good and they did a good job of keeping things going smoothly. The refs were good and friendly. His prices aren't very bad either.
Splatter Park, Crazy Jims, Pinnacle Woods, Intense, WOW, Black Hawk
Splat paintball is the best field around. They have awesome fields and the proshop has everything at great prices. They have all kinds of cool stuff for beginners and experienced players. They carry good paint at affordable prices. They do group outings at cheaper rates and they are aliot of fun. The refs are amazing. They actually do their jobs. They all deserve raises. They make the fields some of the safest fields around. Definately play at splat.

Splat is a pretty nice place to play. The prices are reasonable and the people that play there are a pretty good group of guys. The owner, Bruce, is a great guy. He's very knowledgeable and will work with you on prices for equipment. Their Proshop is one of the best around the Akron/Canton area and they always have a good selection of products.
The fields are pretty good. They have a great Sup Air speedball field and I think they are planning on building a hyperball field as well. Their woods fields aren't the best around but they are still pretty decent fields.
The staff/refs at Splat are very good. They actually perform paintchecks and enforce the rules, a lot better than most of the fields around here.
Also, Splat is tied to Sluggers N Putters fun center. After a day of paintball you could go on the Go Karts, fight it out in the bumper boat pool. Hit the driving range or batting cages. Play a round of mini golf or just hang out in the arcade.
I would recommend Splat to anyone interested in a good time playing paintball. Being in the same park as Sluggers N Putters also adds to the value of this field for the whole family.
