Now also a skate park ( after katrina). the field, which was very small in the first place was cut in half. the field is rented at a$150 an hour rate. this includes two refs. That's pretty retarded. This is also a reball facility, no paintballs.
Paintball Command-more fields, a little less friendly, way more expensive.pricy paint (FPO), 8 dollar air, and then admission fee.
This place was around for quite a while before hurricane katrina desolated the south coast. About a month before the hurricane they moved to a slightly different location. They have now moved back. As of Febuary, the field has been open every weekend. Right now they have one airball field up, and are working on finishing rebuilding the scenario field. It should be up by mid May, the end of April if we're lucky. The pricing is a very good fifty-four dollars a case. This is much better than any other field in the area. They sell drinks like coke, water, gatorade [haterade ;)]. They have parts, are knowledgable about markers from the blow-back spyder to the electro-pneaumatic G7. The guys are very nice, and friendly. The newer players are well briefed before entering the field. The overall safety of the field is wonderful. They have compressors capable of filling to 4500 psi, and Co2 fills as well. This place is the place to have a fun weekend. Great for getting team practice in and running drills, too.

Paintball Planet, Painball Command and those fields r more expensive then Bayou Dragon because they dont let u bring ur own paint and they charge alot for it.
Bayou Dragon is the best place, because they have low prices and they let u bring ur own paint. The people who work there are friendly and help u out. Team Venom is usually there and they will help u and play u in a game is u want a challenge. The shop over there is ok and it isnt that expensive. They have a scenario fiels, a small speedball field, ad an airball fiels, and hey r working on a new field in the woods. Bayou Dragon rocks.

hey this is phill from team venom,
like everyone that has been to our field says, we have a great environment, and we are easy to get along with,
if you need any help with anything you can come to any of us on the team and we'll be more than happy to help you out.
And if there is anything you need , that we might not have at that time, we also order parts and equipment for anyone who needs it.
come on down to Bayou Dragon if you get a chance, you wont regret it.
-Phillip Cole of Team Venom
I have played at Paintball Command in Mandeville, LA. It's a great field but too far for me(I live in New Orleans) and its FPO(Field Paint Only) and I really like to bring my own paint. Bayou Dragon Paintball is closer to where I live and you can bring your own paint. It's not particularly as big as Paintball Command but it is a great field with its own certain great things about it.
Bayou Dragon is great. There are two speedball fields, one is a Sup'Airball field and the other is a "Wallball" field. If you dont know what wall ball is its like Hyper Ball but instead of the big plastic pipes, its these different size and shape plastic wall like bunkers, hence the name "Wall Ball". The Sup'Airball field is perfect for 5 and 7 man speedball; a few times we even played 10 man on the field, it was CRAZY!! lol. The Wallball field is more for 3 and 5 man play but you can still get a decent 7 man game out of it also.
As for the prices of everything at the field, they are pretty cheap and well worth it.
The price of a case of paint might sound a little steep but its PMI/RPS, which I think is some of the best paint out there. If you dont like the paint or price, remember, you can always bring your own paint! =)

Pertaining to the customer service/operation of the field, it is excellent. As the other person said, Team Venom runs/owns it because their captain is the owner of the field. They are great, they have a proshop there also. If you need any assistance with a marker or other prdouct, they will help you. Most of the time, they can fix it on the spot. You can also order things from their proshop. They are very helpful with anything that you may need and if you are new to the field or renting, they'll help you get started and show you around.
In closing, I personally love this field and think its one of the best in the state. If you're ever around the New Orleans area, swing over to Marrero, right across the Mississippi River lol, check out Bayou Dragon Paintball. If you need directions or more info go their site www.bayoudragon.com and check out some things. If you're ever at the field and need someone to talk to or play with, just ask around for Weezy, Im always there every weekend.
Mostly fields in the Baton Rouge area that are now shut down, i.e. Action Quest some other outdoor courses.
Bayou Dragon. Wow, after being out of the game for a while, then coming back, this is a perfect place. Team Venom, who run/own the field are extremely helpful. These guys are just plain cool. Everyone is approachable. They currently have a speedball field which is exciting to play on, even though I am not a big speedballer. They are opening up a new field that is 100+ acres. It is GREAT, I've played on it a few times and it needs work but they have a great vision. Check it out, please. They have low costs and the people there are great.
Attack Shack (remember the days)
Paintball Command this weekend
Bayou Dragon turns out to be a great field for people who have been going for awhile. Venom, the home team after a few times is very approchable and fun to play against. The MAJOR PLUS about Bayou Dragon is that you can BRING YOUR OWN PAINT. Their own prices are not bad, with a bag of 500 for $20 and a case for $80, a little high, but you can BRING YOUR OWN PAINT!!!!!.
