Paintball Adventures, Shutdown Extreme Park, Rocky Mountain Paintball and High Plains Paintball. Paintball Adventures is cool. I've only played on the speedball fields there but they are well set up. I didn't really care for the rest of them.
The staff at APP are the best. The rec fields are a lot of fun. The speedball play there is awesome. The earlier assertion that safety is neglected is absolutely false. The APP staff is very safety concious and while the chrono is relatively close to the staging area it is monitored and faces into a safe area.
well, this field is what got me hooked on paintball. I now play for the local Rookie team - Kore Wild. Like the guy below me said, this field is run by one of the nicest guys in the business. i wish i could say more, but the guy below me said everything that i wanted to say. come out and play on a saturday or sunday. only 65 bucks on sundays if you wanna scrimmage with the team. the airball field is fun, and i cant wait till we get the new facility, thats going to be tight. if you want a good, safe day of playing, go to action pursuit paintball.
Action pursuit is a great field. It's run by one of the nicest guys in the sport and he makes sure that a good time is had by all. Anthony is huge on safety, I'm not sure what the guy before me was talking about. No the chronos aren't netted, and yes they are about 75 feet away from the staging area but they aren't pointed AT the staging area. They point away from the staging area and across the river. The rec ballers are always escorted by a ref at the chrono and masks are required at all times across the bridge in the playing areas (you want to see a nice guy get mad? lift your mask on the field, Anthony will eat you alive). It's also true that most Sundays the place is full of the local team, Kore and that the Kore guys play on the airball field all day. Rec ballers are welcome to play with them as well or they can go out with the refs and play some woodsy stuff or run a game on the spool field. On Sunday's the charge is generally $65 for a case of paint, field fee and all day air (for team practice, rec players may be different call for details).
The local team always makes the rec ballers and newer players feel welcome and also does some recruiting when it's warranted. Once they had a rec baller with a pump playing with them and he had a blast. These guys are great players and great folks to hang out with too. They're all very approachable and willing to help with any problems you might have.
Bottom line is, if you want to play somewhere that has something for all types of players, go to Action Pursuit in Greeley. You won't be disappointed. The ONLY thing I would change about the field is that I wish he had more speedball fields. but for woods players, there's tons of places to play at this place.
This place is a pretty good deal if you play on a team. For the 65$ you get decent paint and all-day air. The place is pretty rogue. The paintball storage area is just a trailer on the back of a truck. Also, safety is at a minimum. The staging area is 35 ft from the crono and there are no nets. The refs are good. Now to the fields... They have a couple speedball fields and a couple woodsball fields. The speedball fields get pretty old pretty fast but are still fun. The one thing that turns me away from this place is how far it is from Denver. I live in Denver and it takes 1 1/2 hours to get there. I would reccomend this place to experienced players only. Usually there aren't any newbs playing. The people are pretty nice but seem a little rough. Go to action pursuit paintball if you don't mind a little rogue mixed in with your normal day of paintball.
PS THe scenarios are the BOMB!!!

Some in denver but nowhere near as good as this one.
This field is awesome. they have a HUGE wooded area for rec. players, 3 speedball fields, and the Saving Private Ryan field. The woods has various wooden bunkers spread out an about so it is a LOT of fun for rec. people. The speedball fields are amazing too. They have two Sup' airball fields and one wooden "spool" field. THe local team there plays every sunday if your looking to get a lot of experience. They play speedball all day if you want to play with your team or play with them. If you're there with a friend and only a couple of other people are there you can play one on ones or two on twos or three on threes etc. on the spool field. So if you are in the Greeley, CO area, come play at Action Pursuit. I promise it will be one of the best fields you play at. (oh by the way the people there are very friendly and will teach you some techniques and stuff if your new.) Come play at Action Pursuit!
