I've been playing at this field for three years now. It's by far my favorite field to play at in Colorado (Played a bunch in TX, prefer this one in CO over all of those).
My opinions:
-----------------
- Plenty of refs
- Good variety of games (eg: Alamo, Speedball, Dynamite, CTF, President...etc)
- Target rich environment : ) Tons of players show up every weekend
- Bad: Expensive. Have to save up quite a while to play here, they should lower the cost a smidge
PB Adventures is by far the best of them in the colorado springs / denver area. The owners were great, the help is great, all the games have plents of refs.
It is a little expensive, but I'll pay for the good service.
They've always made an effort to keep the game balanced and moving.
The fields have some decent cover, though you aren't going to sneak up on anyone like in thick woods play.
Overall, my experience can be summed up:
* Expensive - in comparison
* Fields - very good, nice variety, good ideas for games
* Refs - they have them, which is good, and they're helpful
* Customer Service - pretty poor - arrogant and indifferent come to mind. So does disorganized.
I'll hit them again this year and post a followup.
A little bit on the expensive side, but most fields are the same. Being able to by 100 round bags is awesome, so you don't have to buy a ton of paint if you don't need it. They have huge fields and a lot of fields. I only played on one of the fields though, so I don't know how all the fields are. One of the refs I talked to was rude, other than him the rest of the staff was cool. Overall this is a very good field. I played here in January and was limited to only a few games because it started snowing and was well under 32 degrees. During the spring and summer as well as anytime with decent weather this field is awesome.
OK this field is GREAT. It is a little onthe expensive side though, it is $80 for a case of paint and $20 to get in, a little rediculas, don't you think..... OH AND IT IS FIELD PAINT ONLY, soooooooooooooooo......
But ok, they have 5 refs per game and they are all so friendly, they will help you with any thing and, 7 different fields, tons of forts, buildings and holes. They check you FPS before each game and trust me this is a good thing, also the make sure you are using there paint (so you don't bring frozen plaintballs or somthing like those new spike balls)
The cool thing is you normally play a 30 minute game and then take a 5-10 minute brake to clean/oil your gun, Refill your pods, fill your air or what ever you need to do. It is great. You get to play about 10 games a day. They play, alamo(FUN FUN FUN), defend the barrel fort, Save the president, Dynimite, football, elimination and much much more. They have a little shop where you can buy paint, Co2, N2, gernades, Barrel plugs and so on. Also they have there own rentals (guns, barrel plugs, Co2, Mask, and just about any thing you will need). Also, they have tables for you guns and stuff BUT this is a major down fall, THEY HAVE NO PLACE AT ALL TO PUT YOUR STUFF, so if you are like me and don't have a car, you get to leave all your crap on the tables and HOPE that no one steals it. BUT (theres always a but) they have people out (refs adn the little shop owners) watching (kind of) so most people won't touch it and if they do you can most likely tell. Oh and also all the shops and buildings are made of Old wood and 10 year old plywood. But I say the field is all that matters and that is final oh and trust me when your out ont he field with all the forts, OMG IT IS THE BEST PLACE EVER, I mean most the time when I go there are normally about 6 to10 newbies adn they are so much fun to watch, shoot, own, or just mess around with them. Or when it is all vs. the ref's (trust me they own) that is hella fun but I woul RECOMEND PLAYING AT THIS FIELD, (if you have the money)... I am going to give it a 9 just because of the refs...
