The Ontario field is great. Ive played alot of fields from California to Texas and ive got to say this field has alot to offer. Its true Aktion Zone is out there alot but the fact is they built the majority of the fields. They built the hyperball field, the big castle, and the spool field. If it wasn't for aktion zone Ontario paintball challenge would lack the goodness it has now. Paintball is a business for alot of us and bashing the very core of the Ontario field is just plain wrong. Most comments Ive read are from alot of cry baby freeloading brat kids who don't understand paintball in general.
Outside on public land, Aktion Zone's Indoor Field in Meridian, Idaho & Aktion Zone's old field in Sand Hollow, Idaho.
Review:
The field is fairly new and the owners are still learning and developing the place It is very promising. It has about 100 acres with woods, a big pipe field (hyperball field), a spool field (speedball field), a small river, and a castle with more things going up all of the time. The owners are very friendly and are concerned with everyone being safe and having a good time. The prices are reasonable. The owners are open to suggestions and I expect to see this field take off fast.
It is a little drive from Boise but it worth it. Be sure to get directions before you leave, as it can be a little tricky to find.
DO NOT confuse this field with Aktion Zone in Meridian, Idaho. Aktion Zone sometimes runs scenario games at this field, but does not own it. Aktion Zone is VERY poorly managed (see the reviews on it for details) and I do not expect Aktion Zone to remain in business much longer unless major changes are made. I hope to see big scenario games run at this Ontario field soon that are run by someone besides Aktion Zone.
A good field. Some improvements need to be made (like bathrooms), but the owners are making improvements as fast as they can. It is worth a little drive to play this field.
private fields, public land, Aktion zone, played for years and this is the best in the region

I have played at this field since before it was a public field. It has grown and changed for the better every year. It has woods, castle, hyper-ball and a sup-air field. the rates are great and they allow outside paint-not a field paint only field. The paint they sell is quality paint and the price is competitive. They offer hpa and co2 fills and all day air or co2 is available. They are constantly upgrading the field and expanding so there are plenty of options when it comes to types of games available. Right now they are working on an urban combat field with buildings and such. It seems like they are open every saturday and open for reservations as well. They are getting well known now and have as many as 60-100 players on a weekend. I only wish they'd get a new restroom setup instead of the porta potties they have now. Overall a great field that gets better all the time.

Review:
This field is relatively new, though the owners are very enthusiastic about making everyone's paintball experience a good one. There is a lot of variety in the terrain ranging from rather heavily wooded areas to open fields. In addition to great rec play areas, they also have two pretty good speedball fields, though I've only played on the pipe field (so far).
Admittedly a lot is still in development, as the field isn't that old. The really great thing about this field is that the owners are open to suggestions and do their best to develop the field in such a way that it encourages a good time.
Right now games are run pretty much every weekend, with an occasional scenario game being run by another company (see Aktion Zone review in Idaho). Ontario Paintball Challenge is open to other interested parties running scenarios and I think this is what really makes the field great. The owners aren't concerned with screwing you out of every penny they can get, they want everyone to have fun and do everything they can to make sure that happens.
