I can honestly say that in the time that i've been playing Hinkle has changed alot. At first it was not that great. Expensive and the staff wasn't the greatest. Now its ALOT better. The prices have gone down drastically. I remember the good paint used to be about 70 bucks, now its gone down to around 55. Of course you could drop 70 bucks for 2000 rounds, but that's Evil, so trust me....it's worth it. Most of the staff working there know what they're doing. Of course there are a couple that don't, but they're new. The fields have improved as well. Now they have a curtain style netting between the two fields so both fields can be played on at once. It can get confusing doing that but you get used to it. True, there are alot of newbies there but that all just depends on when you go. Whenever I take my newbie friends i always go on weekdays, mostly friday, because i know that there won't be any experienced players besides me-i do this so they can enjoy themselves, not so i can beat on them-and if I want some decent competition I go on a saturday. That's when all of the good players are playing. The only gripe I have about the field is that they laid down wood chips ond the ground. As for tournaments i feel that they're ok. The prizes aren't the best-if you want really awesome prizes go to Ill F/X they got the best prizes in the state. The tourneys there are run well and the reffing is pretty good. Only problem I got with the tournaments is the way they catagorize them. Before they separated the rookie and novice divisions by if you had three years or less tourney experience you were rookie, anything higher you're novice. Now recently they changed that to over a year tourney experience you're novice. They may change that for the up coming tourneys, but that's how its was at the last one i played at. So all in all its a pretty good field. If you complain about having little if any competition you maybe going on the wrong day.

This field is so small and there is hardly any room to move around. Also the refs there suck. They aren't fair at all and just bug you. They are a field only paint place which is cool but they charge 25 bucks for a bag of 500. That is just ridiculous. Also in one of their fields they have like sniper spots that are just stupid. I say if you are looking for a field in Alb. just go to paintball city they have cool refs and they are a lot more laid back.

first of all I'm from el paso texas and i went to go play there as a get away from the paintball in el paso. i got there and thought to my self are these fields or playgrounds for little kids i mean these fields are so small that its not even funny. they only have two fields and they are about the 15 yards long. the refs are grat though they are nice and get in the game sorta. the paint prices are outrageous and the paint isnt even round its all oval and weirdly shaped. bottom line play there if you wanna have a hard time playing in a bunker and cleaning your barrel 24/7.
Hinkle is by far the worst paintball feild in New Mexico. The prices are jacked up beyond belief. They do not have any HPA fill centers. The paint at the feild used was worse than Brass Eagle. The staff knows nothing about anything. The feild is far too small to have any fun. On the feild the entire opposing team can be eliminated at the break. The ground is unclean and hard to balance yourself on. The feild fees are the worst in the state.
Ive Played on Paint Ball Action and on Paint Ball City. Out of the 3 fields that ive played on hinkle was the worst.

The field at hinkle family fun cener is not that good i think. I thought that it was to small and if you are playing on a busy night you will have no room to move around. If your a newbie i say go to hinkle but if you are a more experienced player i suggest that you not fo play at hinkle. I think that you will not like it. As I said its to small and if you call for a paintcheck the refs will just stand there and the wont say a word. They wont go to check you. They are to worried or to scared to get hit. If you want to play at a good gield i say that you should go to Paint Ball City. There Paint Prices are to high and i think that they can lower the price of paint a little.
