I have to say this field is awesome! I decided to take up paintball on a wednesday, went to their forums, asked for some help and got tons of replies on gun options for a new player. Bought my gun friday and showed up saturday by myself. I had never been there, never seen paintball other than on TV, and didn't know what to do, these guys were helpful. They helped me chrono my gun, showed me how to do simple maintenance, and were tons of help. From people helping me disassemble my gun at the end of the day to someone on the field who loaned me a squeegie (sp?) on the field between halfs people were actively interested in helping me learn and have fun. I can't really compare this field to another, but the staff at this field was amazing. The players at this field really make the difference, they look out for each other, even if they don't know you. I was borrowing screwdrivers and stuff to initially assemble my new gun, people were really helpful. I played other tactical games for years and years, these guys keep it fun like nothing i've ever seen before.
Right from the start I liked this place. The staff was very helpful and very concerned about safety. The fields are grassy and the weather is almost always cool. The air field is great for smaller team playing. The lego fields are great. Lots of room to play. The people you meet there are friendly. There isn't a feeling of dread because you're a newbie and the guys who run the field are always willing to show you the ropes. It is also reasonably priced ($15.00 w/ your own gear) and it's not FPO.
All Star Paintball, not as good as this one.
The one in Bellows, i haven't tried it before
Paintball Hawaii is the best paintball field in Hawaii :P The fields were good, Lego Field was really fun when we played a 9 on 9 game, Airball field was on par to All Star Paintball's except the snake wasn't as good. Blue Field is ok but wasn't really my favorite field. Lego field was the best because there was a lot of cover and could handle big games. The refs were great, they really cared about safety and enforced barrel cover rules, and there was some over-shooting which was fixed by a little lecture about it on the next game, these guys care about your safety. They check your chrono before you play then mark your wristband so they know that you're not shooting hot. The all day air is nice but filling Co2 took a while.
they care about your safety
water provided to wash mask, marker, etc
nice coaching for beginners :P
Clean rental equipment (Pirahna R6s and Extreme Rage Mask/Pod Carrier)
one chrono station
bad field paint (SOMETIMES)
barrel condoms only no barrel plugs(if you can call that a con)
long line on refilling Co2
prices a little steeper then All-Star ($5 more not too bad)
All in all this is a great field and i recommend it to anyone who lives on Oahu to give it a visit!
the new airball field, rocks. the snake is much better, angled... it's smaller and most games last less then 2 minutes, fast paced action.. it's also close to the fence so people can see all the action from behind it, you guys should check it out.
oh and there's a tourny comin up

All in all, this field is ok. The airball field is getting better but should only be saved for less than 7 on 7 games. Any more than that, the field is over-populated. The snake sux. There is gap's in the snake and it burdens the front that's in there. Unless the mid-back or back players are getting G's... that front is stuck.
The Leggo field is an ok field too. There are more options for a player to bunker other players or shoot 'em out from tape to tape. I like the snake on this field. Big time advantage for the front that get's in there.
Blue field sux! It's a paintball "blackhole". Unless your team is outraged in numbers, there is no way this field can be productive in any tournament at all.
There is an X-Ball field in construction right now. With the constant hounding from us and a few other players, I guess Roland heeded the calls. Freddie and I have had long talks about the craziness of the "downhill" sloping when looking from the staging area of the field to the back. As of a couple weeks ago, it was leveled. CHERRY! So be on the look out for this field to be rocking with all new "grey-black" bunkers and even the 40-foot rocketship while the current airball field to be redesigned.
Roland! Keep it up or I will kick your old ASS! Hahaha... you only get a 9 for this one because you're a dentist!
Hawaii All-Star Paintball
Bellows Recreational Field
I like this field i have only gone to it like 2 times and its the only place that I have played speed ball at. Sadly I have never played at Nimitz (Hawaii All-Star Paintball) I kinda of want to but it feels weird to play at a new field. I have just been there to watch. This field I don't really like the air field because they have a small amount of bunkers which is bad when you have a lot of people playing. At least 2 people at each back bunker and it gets irritating. The refs are good there some I would not like to mention but hey you got the good and bad apples. I like the variety of field they have there like 5 I think. I have never played at the tire or woods field and I don't want to play at woods I have heard pros there say that its hard and frustrating. Like think of an apple orchard or something similar with the trees really close and high grass about the same thing. The two field are similar made out or plastic boxes and such. Also when it rains or its kind of moist out. The mosquito's will get you just wear long pants and sleeves and maybe gloves you never know because even with my glove on they got me in the fingers because of the half fingers. Also the rental guns are decent and they even give you some pods to play so you can go for it. I don't like the prices because I have to pay $25 for all day and admission. And it is kind of hard to find if you don't know where it is. I like the Blue and Lego field so I give this an 8. So if your in the area and can get to it and are in the mood for paintball go to it.

This field has a butt load of fields, and a lot of misquitos. Very good family environment. All the fields are really Good...unless it rained the night b4. You can ask almost any body who works there or anyone on the field who looks like they have the answers what you should put on your gun or what is the best thing to do to your gun, etc. Seating area is a pretty good size, but who cares if its a good family environment, just share a table. Their Air field is well maintained, The bunkers dont deflate on you or anything, but they dont have a lot of bunkers...Maybe they do now, but yeah, everything is great on this field, except the mud.

By far this is one of the best fields in Hawaii. The prices are ok but they have gone up a bit since I'v there. The air ball field is awesome, the grass is great for sliding bunker to bunker or hiding in. The only bad thing about this is there are some pot holes out there you can step in and mess up your ankle! The paint price is really good, friendly staff if you need help just ask and someone will help you out. One of the best thing about the field is the BYOP "bring your own paint" unlike bellows you can BYOP or use field paint. Field paint is probably the way to go, its cheap and good quality. I have heard that some of the people who don't play there not that much say somthing about why the field has teenagers refing there. I know those kids they are my friends and if any body has something to say about them they can take it up with me. But any way the field is great. There is ony one thing that bothers me is there is no USEABLE bathroom except for the porta potie!
GREAT FIELD GO THERE FOR A GOOD TIME!!!
I went their after finally getting my new autocockers and i had a great time. When i played my first game my macro blew (cheap macro which was my fault) and one of the players gave me a macro and fixed it for me. Also me and my brother were put in the walk on and we were doin pretty well and the reffs then asked if we wanted to play intermediate. This was a collection of the players who were very good and i jumped at the chance to get better. It was a great learning expiriance and i have a great time whenever i go to the field.
Only bad part wus that it had rained and some of the staging area was muddy but they had put boards over it so it was fine
I have not played at anyother feilds because me and all my freinds live right on base so its only about a 15 minute walk from my house and its just an awesome field. And I talk to people and say its not worth going to because all the other fields are way to expensive compared to paintball hawaii.
this field is just awesome. they have made so many improvements over the past year and every weekend the field just gets better and better. over the last year they have set up an air ball field which is the best field there its awesome and every weekend its different so it never gets boring. And now roland is in the process of setting up a woodball field which is going to be awesome. And I would never go to anyother field. And last week end we had the ohana tournement it was just awesome roland set it up it was just great. My team luckly came in second place
I have not played at any of the other fields, but PBH is a good field. Roland works hard and takes pride in his field. It has improved greatly since back in the day, and is still improving more everyday. The field will be one of the best fileds on the isalnd once it is tottaly finished. I like the field, good people, make friends, like a big family.
