I have been playing for a while, mostly woodsball on on private property. We usually only head to one or two pay fields a year. This year we found Pocono Mnt. Paintball and had a blast. The refs and staff were great; they let us play however we wanted to (as long as it was safe). The rental guns and paintball were top of the line. The fields (mostly woods) were fresh and thick and their "Fort" was cool. And at the end of the day we got a little BBQ (hotdogs, chips, etc) at no extra cost, they do it for every group. This is a great place if you want a laid back day of paintball without crowds.
This field has a few nice fields and some good ref's. The only problem I see with them is their prices. 90 for a case of cheap paint is a bit to much. Just because their close to skirmish does not mean they can use their prices. The refs were saying they dont get much business, well if they lowered their prices a bit they would get a ton more.
This field is a little better than your average backyard paintball games. I liked playing at this place especially this type of castle that they had at a field.
Review:
Compared to Skirmish, this isnt the best but if u want privacy while playing this place is excellent. And I'm pretty sure they have discounts for groups. They also rent paintball guns, CO2, etc. So i would recomend this place if u want privacy from other people while playing paintball.
Pocono Mountain Paintball is a smaller more sucluded paintball field. Although smaller than Skirmish (45+ fields), Pocono Mountain Paintball (about 20 fields) does have somethings to offer. If you would like to get away from the highly commercialized busy Skrimish fields, than Pocono Mountain Paintball might be for you. They only have about a hundred players a day on their fields at one time. And since the facility is smaller you dont have to worry about laying your gear down and having someone walk away with it.Also the parking lot is close to the fields so youll have extra gear close by. The fields that I played on were pretty cool (world war II trenches, 2 story towers in a large cicle, and a wooded hill charge field). The rest of the fields looked like wooded fields how ever I did not see the whole facility. Pocono Mountain Paintball is great for someone looking for private game play with out a high volume of people delaying your game play.
