Current owners have done the most out of any vendor in the past. The field keeps getting better each time I go. I have been playing here since the beginning so I know what I'm talking about.
You want a great paintball exprienc? Play at Hurricane. Come out October 27th for a special one day scenario that is in support of Erins army. Prices at the end of the day!!
Hog Wild, Orange County Paintball, Combat Zone, Invincibles in Vero. I have played them all at one time or another and will only play at Hurricane. It is not the closest field to me, but I will and do drive out of my way to play here.
No field in the area has ref's that are as conscientious as Hurricane's.
My favorite mix of woods and buildings, and open field: Its like a smaller version of Wayne's World of Paintball.
Review:
I have been playing paintball in the area for ten years.
I have seen this park go through many changes and mangers. By far, the current managers are the best. They played before they managed and it shows. They are really taking care of this field, making sure it is properly maintained for the safety and pleasure of the players.
They have also expanded the field and structures so it is a real pleasure to play there.
The prices are reasonable and if you have a problem with anything, they are willing to listen and try to correct it.
I highly recommend Hurricane Paintball to anyone, any age, any level of experience.
Absolutely loved this field. We had some issues with the paint not breaking, but strangely it didn't ruin the day. The refs were courteous, and professional. They were engaging and helpful off the field. If it weren't over an hour away I'd play there much more often. If you are unsure what a good paintball field is supposed to be like, make the trip and come here. I wish I could remember the date we played there. But we will be taking a group of people there in 2 weeks.

GPS is required to find this place. You end up cutting though a residential area and then into the boonies a bit, but its worth it!

2 rec ball fields (one wooded, one open) - 10 out of 10
2 speed ball fields - N/A (I've never used them, but I've never heard anyone complain about them)
Prices - 10 out of 10 - $10 admission, $5 air (Cash and Credit accepted)
Paint quality - 10 out of 10 (even their lower end stuff is good)
Refs - 11 out of 10 - The refs are top notch and very conscious of safety
Refreshments - 7 out of 10 - The field sells hot dogs, drinks, and chips. Oh and they give out FREE FREEZE POPS!
Restrooms - 6 out of 10 - 2 well maintained portapotties (if you are familiar with Palm Bay permitting you'll understand why there are no true bathrooms)
Scenario game (their first) - 10 out of 10 - BETTER THAN WAYNE"S WORLD ST. VALENTINES MASSACRE!!!!!!
I recently went for their first scenario game. Pirates vs. Ninjas and I was floored by how professional and well run the scenario was. The game ran from 9:30am to about 6:15pm. The teams were fairly well balanced and efforts were made throughout the day to keep them closely matched. Almost every firefight had a ref nearby for paint checks, in fact it seemed like the refs could teleport considering how often I saw them :)
The mission system worked very well and often put both sides in positions for maximum action. Props were used often, but not to the point of being ridiculous. The text of each mission was funny, but fully understandable. The refs all seemed to know what the objectives were and how they were to be accomplished (radio communications between refs helped enormously).
Along with the normal scenario action, a drinking contest (water), sword fight, blind shoot, and a 5v5 hyperball game added extra flavor to the day.
The only negative I can think of was a slight issue concerning the distance the ninjas had to walk to get air, paint, etc, but that was solved within an hour of game start and worked better than I would've expected.
I used to play at Port St. Lucy, but I heard they closed down.
Directions to the Field:
Just 770 Hurricane ST...you should have a GPS. It is way back in the forests. A lot of dirt roads around.

This part is great! Refs are cool once you get to know them well. They are serious about barrel covers and masks on at all times unless you are completely off the field. $10 to get in, $5 for all day air, $5 for bring your own paint. I dont pay attention to rentals. Its a good field...they have hyper ball, regular paintball, speed ball sometimes, and a huge long game in the forest. 10/10. Go to the park!!!
from points South:
I-95 N to Malabar, follow GSP/google maps directions; no easy way to find the place unless you've been there before; its off the beaten track.

This field is apparently under new ownership, and the staff are awesome!
When my team was there they had run out of their lower grades of paint and were selling DXS Blaze at $40/case (It was made clear this was a one-time only event). VERY stand-up sorta thing to do.
Fields: 1x Rec Ball field, 1x Hyperball, 1x Woodsball, 2x fields under construction (presumably speedball)
Safety: Strongly emphasized; consitently enforced by refs. I saw every single player on the field get Chrono-ed, regardless of experience or reputation.
Rules: Consistently enforced by refs;
Prices: http://www.hurricanepaintballpark.com/prices/
$15 admission, $10 if you live in Palm bay, FREE if you're military, 5-0 or Fire svc. -edit. They now accept Credit Cards.
Even at full price, its well worth it. The staff is courteous, helpful and even provided free freeze pops for players after every few games. I don't know if this is a regular perq, but we sure appreciated it!
Overall -9/10
We had a GREAT experience at this field and will be going back without question.
Only a 9 because they're still renovating the park. Very high hopes for this park.

I've been at this field for over 5 years now. I've seen good management, poor management, and everything in between. I'm pleased to announce that the new management is one of the best ones I've seen there yet. The prices are definitely reasonable, the refs have been there for years as well and as always, they stress safety first and foremost. The majority of the bunkers have either been rebuilt already or are in the process of being rebuilt after years of neglect. The owners have absolutely done a terrific job in bringing the park back to life. With only a week to work on the park before their opening, they still drew a crowd of over 50 players their first day.
Glad to see the park is back and running to better standards than the previous owners. Good job.
I've reffed for a few years off and on there, so I've seen/met most every owned at some point.
This honestly is the best park around guys. If you are looking for a park in central Florida in palm bay there is none other then this one to go to. Having played at this feild in times past . The new staff is the best by far being, friendly curtous and always willing to help. The referee's and the shop staff are on constant stand by and between all the expeirance they have they can answer almost any question that you need. Another thing about the feild is that it is still being refurbished and remodeled and constantly maintained mainly by the fillion paintball team but there are also groups of dedicated players that help who want nothing more then the park to succed. During the whole time this park has ever been open by anybody this park has never had a major accident, and the reffing team is very firm in making sure that the sport at hurricane is good safe clean fun. I know that every weekend free that i have will be out there enjoying every amazing moment at the local paintball feild backed by the best reffing staff and shop i have ever seen.
Hurricane was taken over by the owners of Fillion Paintball on 12/18/09. The highly skilled refs of Warmachine were hired back and the field is being restored to prime condition.
The new owners have had work crews of >20 rebuilding bunkers and restoring the fields to prime condition.
Opening day under the new management was 12/26/09. 6 Warmachine refs managed the fiels to standards never seen before. 57 players had a great day.
Alright everyone wanted to let everyone know the good news.
DING DONG the witch is dead........or more to the point, the old owner is a retard and has been thrown out of Hurricane Paintball Park.
As of Nov 18th, Fillion Paintball Inc (The people running the Paintball Farm in Cocoa) is the high bidder for Hurricane Paintball park in Palm Bay, FL.
Grand Opening date is set for December 26th!
We hope all of you join us at this AMAZING location! Come and enjoy one of the best fields in Brevard with the original crew and players that made it the best.
Team WarMachine will be the primary reffing crew, however we welcome all new volunteers to the family.
