Three Rivers Paintball has been one of the better experiences of organized paintball I've had in just over a year of playing. A simple e-mail was sent before I received all the information I would need to organize a private party and booking a time was a mere 2 minutes of my time. Once my team arrived, the staff of TRP was extremely helpful and didn't give us any problems with any special requests. As we had a private party, we were immediately given the choice of any field we wanted and any style we chose. The referee designated for our group was fair to both sides and not over bearing with the lesser experienced players. Prices were cheap and fair and any repair work needed on our own guns or rental guns was quickly done or replaced without hassle. We used 6 of the fields TRP had to offer, all of which were equally dynamic and equally fun. The speedball courses were a blast to play on as well. All in all, TRP's act is together, and one of, if not the best spots in Pittsburgh's paintball scene.
The woodball fields are all about the same. Not much difference from field 1, 2, 3 etc. Games took FOREVER to start. They were constantly waiting for new players to arrive rather than starting a game with the players that had already been waiting for about 30 minutes ! The field refs have a nasty habit of pointing out the positions of opponents. (Helped me win a couple games but, it wasn't right ! )Overall, the players seemed to be very amature compared to other fields. Perhaps the better players don't play there ? I didn't try the airball field.... got tired of waiting.
Combat Zone North..an indoor field that absolutely sucks. 'Nuff said.
Review:
Three Rivers is a great place to play! They have over 10 outdoor fields, and also an air field or two. They have open shoots, or you can also book a private game(w/ a minimum of 16 players, though). The outdoor fields are big in size(good thing!), making for great CTF play. The people working there and the refs are all really nice, and will even fix your gun if there is a problem(within reason, of course). The only things they could do to make it better would be to improve their facility(basically, tear it down and build a better one with MORE THAN ONE RESTROOM!), and to lower the prices($90 for 2,000 balls? Come on, people!) All in all, a great place!
i changed my rating, 3rivers went downhill fast. The place sucks now. I strongly sugest everyone stays away and saves their money...
Wade is an idiot, and everyone thinks it.. Yea, fill my tank to 3K it works better that way... And as far as gun techs, for your own sake I hope you never bring a gun there to get fixed.. Your better off trying it on your own...
Old beat up fields, not taken care of.. both airball and woods fields are not kept well. The people there treat the players like crap... And wonder why they get crap back in return...

Three Rivers Paintball is the place to be. They are very reputable people up there. I've been playing there for a while now, and the place is run very professionally. Reffing is top notch, the fields are top notch, the people are top notch. It's like a big family up there. Everyone know's everyone, and it's all good. The manager, Bob, is a very cool guy. Three Rivers is the home of Team Fraction, and the All Americans II can be found up there practicing often as well. This is also the home of MANY novice/amateur more localized teams.
The people at three rivers have spent countless hours into making these fields sweet. The tournament's up there are reffed by NPPL players who know what their talking about. You are guaranteed a fair tourney when you play at Three River's. Also the place of some EAPL action, three rivers hosts a bunch of 3 man, and some 5 man tournament's
Overall, a great place to be
And if Bob reads this------Hi Bob!
