georgia paintball 2.0-speed ball and hyperball field. good service and low prices.
Ultimate paintall-THE BEST
To tell you the truth, i love all the fields they have. they have all the fields i could think of...woodsball, speedball, hyperball, airball, and mounds. All the other things about this field is bad. First off, 108 FOR A CASE OF PAINT!!! You gotta be kidding me. If i went to this place frequently i would only be able to go once a month. That is a serious rip. You dont even get all day air. I have an angel speed but i dont have volumisers yet so i have to resupply my air frequently, and i end up spending 12 bucks alone on air!! A days play ends up with
130 bucks!!!! not worth it. Thats just the beginning, the people there are so negitive, including the players, refs, and manager. The players make fun of people w/ spyders and other low end markers. When i try to stick up for them(i used to have a spyder) I end up being an outcast. Not a good envirment. The refs are lazy and dont do their job when the game is going on. This by the way is not all the refs, some are good. They also dont do a good job splitting teams up. They put the ones they know on one and the ones they dont know have to wait, like me. IT sounds good but ive seen some of these people and they are not expirienced. Also the lady that owns the place is a complete witch. SHE DOESNT EVEN PLAY PAINTBALL!!!. If she does then she is doing a good job not helping you out with anything. The people behind the counter let people they know fill up their own air!!! To me that is a serious safty issue. Having a 14 year old fill up a high pressure tank who doesnt work there is a serious issue. I may sound like im totally dissing this place but it is really just like i said. The only good things about this place are the fields and they are good about keeping masks and barrel plugs on. Go to georgia paintball 2.0. Low paint prices plus bring your own paint. Only 2 fields though

alright, i'm here to set things staight. The refs only respect you if your gun cost over 400 and the fp is WAY too expensive. if you want to play the at least okay fields you have to get there at 9 in the morning cuz then all the newbies show up and all they play are big fields which really do suck. the teams are hardly ever fair, but the staff (besides the refs) are friendly. But a lot of the refs are snotty and let their friends cheat. the only good fields there are the speedball, hyperball (the best) and field four. The air ball field is way too big with not enough bunkers. A lot of the refs are mean to you. But their two pro shops( one in cumming and one in roswell) are nice.
Well this use to be the only field in this area and it was a big monopoly. 107 a case.... and they don't do all day air. On top of that field fee etc. Crazy??? Don't get me wrong it has allot of fields (prepare to be running allot) including air, hyper, and some huge wood fields. They play mostly wood fields since open group is usually has a big turn out. Besides the price they have nice facility and nice refs (they get paid enough I wouldn't be angry at my job either). But now since Georgia 2.0 has opened I can play at their field for 30 bucks including all day air, field pass and bring your own paint (Sunday only). Even on Fridays or Saturdays they sell PMI Premium for a reasonable price. On Sundays they always sell cases for 50 of this cheap paint but hey no need for evil to just have fun or practice a little. They do not have as many fields or as big of a turnout but I myself like 8 vs 8 or something smaller than 20 on 20. Comparing 2.0 to Atlanta I rather play at 2.0 for cheaper prices! I can play at 2.0 practically twice with the same amount of money it would take me to play at Atlanta. But if you have the money Atlanta is where to go for big group wood ball action.
This field is a good one if you live nearby. It's got a few too many unsupervised children. They really need to work on the fields. I felt they were a bit uninspired, as there are no fields with a real theme, just a lot of woods. The hyperball and speedball fields were in good condition, but again, nothing unique here.
The staff is friendly. The paint is expensive, though. They do allow response triggers on this field. Their rentals are Tippmann 98's with RT's installed, which should make things more fun if you want to take friends out who don't have their own markers, albeit expensive.
Ok first off as I'm sure you have heard, the prices at this place re horrible. $107 for a case of PMI premiums! 1 bag of 500,2 nitro rerills, and field fee is $50. Most of the kids there are rich snotty spoiled little brats who have no experience and get in the way most of the time. The refs dont paintcheck and if its their friend or someone they know they say that they're clean and let them wipe. One time they had the whole Team XTreme play against a team of kids who had never even played. I remember one time i was playing against one of the Team XTreme players and had been working on shooting him for a long time, finally i got my break and shot him right between the eyes. I called a paint check on him and the ref slowly walked down the field taking at least two minutes. And when he got there he had already wiped and the ref called him clean. The only good refs are the ones that ref at the tournaments. The others are just stupid kids who cant make a good call if they tried. I also get pretty pissed off at the 10 year olds with Bob Long Intimidators. Their Airball field shouldn't even be used for paintball and their speedball field is in need of repair. I would suggest trying this field but dont have high expectations.
If you look at this place as a whole its alright. They have the largest fields in the ATL, and they are the most well established. The bad part is illustrated in a lot of these posts, mostly the prices are just crazy when compared to others. 107 for a case? you've gotta be kidding me. My advise play somewhere else unless you're freaking loaded.
Maximum, American Paintball, North Georgia Paintball, Wildfire, various others out of Georgia
First off The refs suck. Don't tell me they don't I worked there for a short perioud of time, and I know there lazy, and stupid.
The owners are not super nice like some say, the owner I should say, is a total witch. She hates everyone, dosent even play paintball and just wants money. The manager is a slob as well, sits in his chair and reads all day.
Second, most of their fields are woods, there hyperball fields are cool, but rearly they will let you on unless there is a tourney that day.
Third, prices are jacked. 107 for 2000 of a crappy brand of PMI paintballs that sucks. Last box I ever bought from them was old, and the balls where flat. That is unexceptable. (You cant
Fourth, the refs don't give out consictent paintchecks, nor do they do anything about cheaters. I think i got hit by atleast four people who where shooting over 300fps and the refs said that they didnt need to check them because they knew them. WTF IS WITH THAT!
Ok, so you spend ten bucks to get in, and 107 for a case of paint that sucks, and they dont even let you play on the field you want, they boss you around, and they let others they know cheat.
Don't even let me get started with how they treat their rental markers, or yours when it breaks for that matter! Certified tech on duty my butt, more like certified destructo maniac!
Georgia Paintball 2.0- much better staffing and pricing
Arkenstone Paintball- better fields, staffing, pricing, etc.
Paintball Atlanta has been around for a while, though I cannot fathom why. The referees are children and act as such to boot. The fields are unimaginative to say the least and awful to play. Paint pricing is far too much for anyone who isn't a millionaire, and this "deal" Wednesdays is a rip-off. The very same paint anywhere else is 80 a case or less NORMALLY, not 107 Normally and 80 on SALE?! Forgive me, but the entirety of PBA is based upon a relatively good buisness model: spend as little as possible on every factor of the business and charge as much as people are willing to pay. PBA must make money hand over fist, but at the cost of all reputability as a supporter of the sport and rather as an example of what the ugly side of paintball can be. The first time I went there was my last. I don't know about you, but "Hi-tech versus Low-tech" isn't exactly what anyone will call fair teams. I happen to be one of those "Hi-tech" people, but if I'm going to play, what's the point in whooping-up on little kids? Bad reffing compounds this error, and the bad fields make it worse. I have vowed never to return, and I urge the rest of you to do the same. Why pay for bad service?
This field is the only one I have been to, but i've looked into a few others. It is very expensive ($30-500 107-2000). Used to be able to buy paint for $80 on Wendesday, they might still do it. Good variety of fields (9, I think). I've heard that some of the refs were kind of crappy, but mine have always been fair and pretty nice, while not overly attentive. All the rental gun I've tried are pretty crappy. Good paint (pink and purple PMI Premium with white fill last time I was there).Soem of the fields are friggin huge, this could be considered good or bad. Great hyperball. The field with the White House (dont remember the number) is the coolest. All around good field if the prices were lower.
Paintball Charleston, Paintball X SC, and a few toury fields in other states that I dont remember...
Ones of the best hyperball fields I have ever seen, an ok speedball field, a good group of guys (and a gal) running it up front, Many wooded fields, and a mandatory chrono station.
Cons (here we go...)-
$107 a case. $107!!!! Im used to paying $65 for the same case of pmi advantage! Field paint only (hey i can deal with it), snotty field refs, and tons of newbies gwaking over nice guns (I dont know how many times a kid asked me to let him hold my gun).
The wooded fields were ok, but the worst ones were like a mile away and those were almost all the ones we played! Some smaller, nicer fields near the staging area but we hardly played on them! I was excited when they asked who wanted to play some hyperball but when we got out there, I took out there whole team in like a second. I have never seen so many people sit in the back and refuse to work bunkers. Oh well... dont expect any experience here.
