These pros should be considered when looking for fields.
-Prices are just right.
-Staff service is fast.
-Many formidable players go for whatever occasion.
-Fields are large.
-There are many bunkers.
Cons that might make you reconsider about this place (though I see no reason why you cannot just live with them).
-The Speedball field is on a slight hill.
-The ground gets sort of muddy if it is foggy or it is raining.
-If you are a newbie, you are against many tough people.
The time I went there, it was a Mother's Day Sunday, so not as many people were there, but the games were all evenly matched. Speedball took no more than 7 minutes max, which isnt too bad. But by the time I got to Woodsball, there were like 10 people there so those games ended pretty quickly, maybe around the same time as it took for a Speedball match. The staff members there are friendly and give help when asked. So overall, I'd recommend somebody looking for a decent, if not great, field to go to, to go to ABC.
This field is an extremely good field no matter what anyone says and I will explain both of the fields and their pros and cons.
Speedball Field
----------------------
Pros: -Good bunkers.
-Not too big, not too small, just big enough.
-Lots of bunkers.
-A lot of different kinds of bunkers.
-Great arrangement of bunkers.
Cons: -On a hill.
-Old bunkers.
Woodsball Field
-----------------------
Pros: -Great arrangement of hiding spots.
-Great arrangement of bunkers.
-Big.
-Set up in just the right spot.
Cons: No cons.
ABC Paintball
-------------------
Pros: -Great and fast service.
-Kind people that play and serve.
-No biased judges.
-Great rentals.
-Great prices.
-Great fields. [This really depends on your preference, though.]
Cons: -Only one and that is one ref. He is like 12 years old and makes the teams so bad and has the worst calls. I mean like wtf?!
Overall
----------
Definately a field to check out. Everything is great about this field and the only thing that bothers me is that the speedball field is on a hill. You won't regret playing at ABC Paintball.

Knightbreed Paintball, West Milford, NJ (Good Fields, Mediocre Refs, Great Prices)
Survival NY, Newburgh, NY (Good Fields, Poor Refs except Jason, Bad Prices)
Skirmish USA, Jim Thorpe, PA (Great Fields, OK Regs, TERRIBLE Prices)
Review:
Horrible. Very few fields (3). The primary woods field has been beaten to death and the speedball field is on a hill. Yes, a hill. That is fine if this is part of your cardio workout instead of going to the gym, but not good if you are trying to play paintball. The players there are pretty nice and the refs, though not very good at all, are friendly. They should never put 13-14 year old refs on a field with adult players.
It is bring your own paint. Go to Knightbreed (www.knightbreedpaintball.com). Paint is $60/case and the fields are better....MUCH better.
For what it's worth, I like this place. It could certainly be closer to NYC, but I suppose they can't just pick up and move for my sake...
The size and slant of the speedball field make wise tactical decisions necessary to win. It's not just the person shooting the most. The bunkers are nicely laid out.
The rental masks suck (always fogging up), and so do the guns, but what do you expect from rentals?
The refs are pretty cool once you start talking to them. We took a bottle of gas and lit a fire during the winter. Used McDonalds bags to keep it going...
Funny thing, if you go to the ABC store ten minutes away, you get paint for nearly half the price that they're selling it at at the field. (Good paint, too...)
Ok, big complaint:
To get to the woodsball field, you have to climb up the mother of all hills. It's fairly short--20 feet or so-- but God, is it steep. I mean really steep. In the winter, it's nearly impossible to get to it.
It was fun the first few times I went but at least they are building a new feld because i mean at least yo can bring your own paint. I only go their when I can not go there when I can not go to other fields but it is ok for practice but their staff is way to young and some donot even own guns and my guess is they probolay do not know the rules.
One: There speedball field is soo frikking big its retarded and its a Hill!!! wtf is that about...
Two: The woodland course is alright considering...
that's all the courses one woodland and one speedball...They really need to start expanding to 3 or 4 fields now because its popularity is growing only because it is close... but they are cheap people who do not maintain anything and the employees...I would actually want to shoot everyone of them over and over again...
The Ref's: The ref's are the worst part about it not only do they not make any calls...They are about 12yrs of age maybe a little older...here you have a 12yr old making teams that are soo unbalanced and trying to enforce calls...The ref's are worthless the honor system would be better than having them there..They should all be fired and replaced with someone older who isn't interested in pokemon still...
They do not maintain there fields...The netting for speedball fell over a long time ago and they still haven't fixed it so when you are walking up to the woodland course you have to pay attention or you wil be close-lined by a pole..
the only good thing is it is BYOP or else nobody would ever go...and its 15.00 admission if you have ur own equipment...Other than that this place is only good if you want to play a joke game...
ABC......what a joke.....the field was nice maybe two years ago when the nets and bunkers were in good shape. They have not fixed anything or cleaned off the bunkers maybe in two years at least. The refs are not even wroth being there....they actually make the playing worse. The ref's actually shot me in the back when i was walking up top because they didn't like the way i was playing. Do not go to this field. Go to Knight Breed....high quality sup air field and no "fake" refs.
they have 2 courses it can take alot of ppl rules are pretty strict refs vary depending on the days personally it doesn't seem like they have yet showed there true potential....maybe if they try........... the only reason i gave this a 10 is b/c of its convenient location and b/c i refuse 2 buy expensive field paint like paintball depot and i refuse to support someone who stiffs there refs on money like nightbreed so this is the only other and there isn't a sewage leakage at all it is the mud smells its b/c its built right next to the swamp and yea so you know how that can smell on a hot humid day when that mud gets wet. YYYUUUCk. So just obey the rules n don't be a smart ass pardon me and you shouldn't have a problem they seem to be under staffed though but they get the job done and ive never had anything stolen from me while im there but remember there are kleptomaniacs everywhere so don't leave your stuff out... lock it up in a toolbox or something. paint grenades are allowed. bring your own paint is allowed no knives or alcohol tho but they seem too be pretty lenient about all that =)
HEY no matter WHEREEVER field you go to tip you refs haha they dont make alot of money as it is and you gotta respect that they have to stand there and watch you while you have the best time ever and you can just see that they would rather be in your shoes then standing there just watching you

ok, abc has one speeball course and 1 woodsball course. the speedball course is really large, but its on the side of a hill. very slanted ground. refs are ok. bring your own paint. nitro fills are pretty cheap. the place is almost in the middle of nowhere though. Sometimes there is some type of break in a water/sewage line i believe and it smells...... EDIT!!!!-well i just went again. it was somehow better than last time i dont know why. maybe i played better. the teams were balanced better and stuff. it was great this time. i played speedball the whole day just raining on other people. it was lots of fun this time. the refs seemed to have stepped up a bit. was talking to them. it was good
