Other Fields in the Area:
young guns (great field)
ok, great group of 20 or so guys head out to Calgary for a fun filled day of crappy service, 12 year old confused rude employees to busy playing with there own pieces to fill air or organize anything, a building full of renters without barrel plugs, dirty deflated bunkers, lacking proshop, NO FEMALE STAFF?!?!?!....WTF?!?, 4 minutes of playing every 20 minutes, employees jumping in on random games, cramped safety area, average field set up, 2000psi or less air fill ups between every game, a great selection of 2 kinds of paint, a crony in the safety area, no one supervising the renters and a PAINTball Field that runs out of paint....good one boys
ok, so if your looking to have a crappy and unsafe time paintballing now you know where to prebook for an overbooked field.....just make sure you bring your own 100$ Canadian tire compressor to fill up your own air....
i only give them a 1 out of 10 because i cant give them the finger.....and the was one hot chick there...that was pretty sweet

None in the area.
Played at Young Guns paintball near Edmonton (Awesome)
Well, being that it was winter and we only have an outdoor field around, and we wanted to have some fun, so about 20 of us all piled onto a bus and headed for rampage in Calgary. (3 1/2 hour bus ride).
When I first walked in, I thought "Well, this field isn't what the pictures on the site showed, but oh well, decent field for playing, some bunkers just need some air" (really, really bad). So we got our paint - They told us stingers or tork - so I went with stingers, not liking tork much, and then I see after, I could have gotten premium if i wanted, they just didn't see the need to tell me. And to follow, 3 out of 4 bags of paint had broken balls in them (my fiend was nice enough to take them back and get good stuff).
Next I noticed all the markers sitting there without barrel plugs, and renters walking around - on or off the field - without masks or barrel plugs... I was, to be honest, a little concerned, because, as you know, paintballs can do some damage.
So then I needed to get a harness, I waited 10 MINUTES for kid the behind the counter to stop playing with his damn ego, put it down, and help me. I would later regret buying anything from them.
So we started to play. This was the only area that was good, we had a hell of a time playing some awesome 5 v 5's. I did not like however, when 2 of the 3 people on duty there, rather than working, asked to join our games. I nicely explained that no, we had driven a fair amount of time to get team practices in, and that they should be working.
After each game, the bunkers needed to be filled, something our group leader had to to do himself, because the people working were just sitting there, watching us.
So that aside, we started enforcing barrel plugs and masks ourselves, as well as starting the rental groups on numerous occasions.
And then, the real kicker: Many times, our teams would be counting down to start and they would get on the megaphone and say "We don't care, get off the field" because the rental groups had to play, even though they were just sitting there, breaking paintballs, something the sign said they were not to be doing (a serious organizational overhaul is needed at Rampage).
Afterwards, someone with a little authority (or so it seemed) showed up and says "I heard you guys have been playing with less experienced players and beating them down them every time" WTF! This was some other group of owners doing this, NOT US, we had been playing on our own, something I had already pointed out to the staff once. So we cleared that up and went to waiting for them to change a HPA tank so we could get fills, a process that took 15 minutes! At any other field they do it in around 2 minutess. And the guys are saying "it's not out fault, we don't care" "WE DON'T CARE?!" What kind of staff member would you ever want to say that to you? And then the authority figure says "What do you guys want?" "Air", we reply, to which he replies "We have no f**king air guys"
Wow. Just wow.
All in all, the playing was good, everything else was horrible. Our group was planning about 4 or 5 trips to rampage this winter, but we will indeed find somewhere else to play.
Turns out the owner got a hold of our group leader, and has offered us an incentive to come back. So as promised, I have edited. I commend the owner for taking the steps to fix the problems we experienced. And I have a feeling our first time there would have been different had he been there to supervise and help us. We will be going back.
However, the recount og my first time there stands, and I will leave that there, but just so everyone knows, they are trying to please the customer in whatever way they can
6/10 - instead of 4

As it is winter and a bunch of us normally play at an outdoor field, we decided to plan a road trip. 20 of us traveled 3.5 hours on a bus to a field that we had booked. We where promised $10 entry, $60 Stinger cases and $80 Tork cases. We where also told that the day would be broken up into 7 minute intervals and we would have every other one. When we got to the field, all was great. We piled off the bus, grabbed our gear and walked in the entrance. Things took a turn for the worse quickly. Although the place was brightly lit and the turf was ok, Rampage has some serious problems. We did get our paint at a reasonable price, and air was free with field fee (all 1800 PSI at a time that is). The bunkers where deflated, which we where constantly filling ourselves as the staff wasn't interested and the plugs where not existent. The safety with the renters that eventually showed up was terrible (expected of renters, but would have been nice to see some staff checking on this instead of playing). It appeared they had more renters than they had imagined, because we where often pulled from the field and where not able to play often (even though we called weeks ahead and booked the field). The staff where "trying" (very "trying", believe me) and had trouble with everything from organization, to filling air (how hard is it to fill at least to 3000PSI). It would seem that barrel plugs and masks are only optional at Rampage (perfect example being their chronograph is sitting right on the edge of the staging area with no netting at all around it. Although we had planned many trips for the winter, we will be taking our business elsewhere from now on. If you value having fun, playing instead of working (filling bunkers, fixing problems), your eyesight (safety?? what's that??) and full air tanks, avoid Rampage.
the feild was decent I wouldn't call it a tournament quality but it did the job. The rest of the area was in a complete mess. We drove from edmonton to play and we booked the time and for some reason they decided that the renters should be given more time and they on numerious occasions kicked us off even though we booked it. The safety was terrible. I saw numerious renters walking around in the safety area without barrel plugs in their guns and taking their masks off on the feild and the staff said nothing. Most bunkers were deflated and we had to fill them ourselves and on many occasions we even started the rental groups when the so called hosts were nowhere to be seen. The personal also need to be trained on how to run an air filling station. Only one staff member seemed to know how and he took it upon himself to play with the other owners when he was suppose to be working so we had no way to fill are tanks and get ready for the next game. So over all the feild was decent except for the holes in the netting and the occasional paintball coming through and hitting random objects (luckily no peolpe) and ya the feild was the only thing that was decent everything else was terrible.
MR paintball. Rampage. Weekendwarriors.Red deer paintball, Paintball busters(good name for those guys..wow..expensive)
I was very impressed walking in there. it was clean, brightly lit, had a large playing field in doors. There was lots of picnic style tables to sit at, but a locker for my gear would be nice.
You could sit there and watch them playing. The mesh screens were top quality . Can't say much about the field except the carpeting and barrier's were very nice to play on and around.
It took us over 20 minutes to get any one's attention and then they were rude, and not very knowledgeable about any thing.(confused is the word) Guys...get rid of that rude snobby chick. Man oh man, she must cost you guys a fortune in p- oed players.
It would have been a nice field to play on, if we could get onto it more. We kept getting bumped by that rude chick so we left in a huff.
We won't go back.
It was way too dis organized the day we were there.
A waste of an entry fee and balls. It was good MR Paintball let us use their field while we were in town else we would have hardly played that day.
a very definite2, the field gets an 8 for its setup and cleanliness
MR- No where near as clean or lighted
Cochrane Outdoor- I prefer indoor but the tire fields were fun
Rampage City Indoor is easily one of the best fields in Canada. The field is clean, well lighted, and well maintained. I have never had a single problem playing at this field.
The staff will always help you out if you have a problem, and whether you are brand new to the sport or have been playing for years they let you know that you're welcome at Rampage. You can make good friends in the staff, they are easy to talk to and love paintball.
I especially love their Friday and Saturday night Young Guns. Prices drop and only players eighteen and younger are allowed to play. It's great for gaining experience and learning from others.
They also have a Vet's night and a Training night which are also great for the players who want to up their game.
All in all, I recommend Rampage City to anyone looking for a good night of paintball. You'll never be stuck playing against renters, and the renters will never be stuck playing against the pros so everyone can have a good time.
CTF Indoor - great place for renters, not very good for pros
Great place for birthdays or corporate gatherings and parties as such. But, remember to BOOK THE FIELD if you are going there for a birthday party if you don't want your noob friends to get lit up by pros who might be in there at the time. They have private rooms available for any type of gathering there and ample seating and tables.
Staff is not so great, i got ripped off on my CO2 when I was there, they refused to fill my tank even when i had paid for unlimited fills when I went in there. They claimed that I had already had it filled 3 or 4 times already that day, but that's impossible since I was shooting a 20oz tank and I had less then 500 balls that day. So basically, they will lie to cover their asses. I have only had a problem with the female staff, the male owner and his son are great guys to deal with
The field is excellent, the Sup'air ball equipment is great and their layout is really cool.
The carpet/turf flooring is great for sliding if that's what you like to do, but also not too slippy for running. You might experience some problems when using shoes, I've seen guys fall when running when wearing shoes, i wear steel-toed combat boots to complete my full army attire and they grip fine on the flooring.
Overall, I'd say a great place to go shoot it up, whether you are a first time player or a seasoned professional. I would recommend this field to all.
MR - Renter haven. Not the most helpful staff on some days. Pro shop not open on weekends.
CTF - AWFUL facility, staff and prices. Basically just open to make money off renters who don't know any better.
FIELD - Large brightly lit, lots of sup'air barriers and awesome turf/carpet. I was really impressed by how clean the facility was (field and the rest). Lots of tables and chairs. Parent and other onlookers can watch the games from behind the mesh.
STAFF - Although I've made phone inquiries and recieved less than knowledgeable staff, for the most part the staff and friendly and helpful.
PRO SHOP - Covers the basics you might need if you break or forgot something at home, plus a selection of lower end markers, plus some used gear, but not a full fledged proshop.
PRICING - $10 field fees includes free gas. $.05 a ball on vets night, or cheaper if you buy by the case.
LOCATION: Once you've been there once or twice, it's easy to find. First timers might want to give themselves a little extra time to get there.
NOTE: Vets night on Thursdays can be fun, but most of the regulars are really familiar with each other, but not terribly welcoming to the newcomers.
CONCLUSION - A solid field to play on. Well worth the money.

MR Paintball - Dirty, dark, good staff, great pro-shop, good paint prices
CTFi - Dirty, dark, rude staff, over priced pro-shop, poor prices
This is the nicest feild I've had the chance to ball on. They had carpeted the floors from the beginning and now have added a layer of artificial turf over top of the carpet making it a very nice surface to play on. The field is thoroughly cleaned every Monday and they must do light cleaning every day.
The field is quite well lit and a very large area. The netting that surrounds the entire field makes it easy to watch games and there are plenty of tables set up for relaxing. They could maybe offer a bit more food wise besides drinks and snacks. The nearest place to eat is a 5 minute drive or so and not very convienient.
The pro-shop offers the basics of what you might need or have left at home and will want to pick up while you are there. The prices are reasonable on equipment and the staff can advise you fairly on what you are buying. As for paint prices they are average at 5˘ a ball and better prices offered if you are buying a case which will usually save you about $10.
My only real gripe with this place has nothing much to do with playing there. It's just that they could use lockers for for storing your gear when you are on the feild. Sometimes you have people who are there just to watch games that sit near your stuff. We all know it's not really possible to keep an eye on your things while you are playing and it would ease my mind knowing that my gear is under lock and key when I'm playing. I've never heard of any real problems with this at the feild but better safe than sorry I always say.
capturetheflag indoor- nothing campared to this field
rampage out door- one of the best our door places but no speed ball(sometimes there inflatibles up) capthe flag outdoor-decent field lots of animals and it shows :(
this is the best field ive ever been to thats including out door(i loved it that much)
PROs-staff is extreamly nice and i mean it they take real pride in there field and the safty of the players.
The paint is decent quality and is 5c a ball right from the begining u dont have to by 700 balls to get that price u get it right from the beggining.
It sup air ball(basicly inflatible cover) with a nice giant X in the middle one of the staff told me there air ball ball field was bewteen 8,000$ and 12,000$ i forget.
CARPAT-105x205 feet in dimension thats pretty big but u have to have some grip and slide a bit early into cover my cousin who i went with sliped three times and as a result got shot all 3 times this is not a bad thing its just we wernt us to that type of sliding yet.
CONS-pro shop could be a bit bigger its got everything u need just could be expandid a bit but there a newer arena give it time and im sure it well get better
