Review: This is a great field to play at. It's only 15 mins from Halifax so it's a pretty short drive.

There is a woodsball and speedball field that has hosted numerous events. I prefer woodsball and I like the setup. There's a tower at each end and one in the middle. It's pretty open so it's not like your walking through clumps of trees where you can't see a thing. The speedball was newly renevated and I havn't played on it yet, but it looks good.

The prices are cheap too. Free if you have gear, just $20 for 500 paintballs (field paint only). If you rent it's $40 for all the equipment, and 500 paintballs.

Overall I would give the place a 9 out of 10, cause nothings perfect.

Review: well my first time paintballing was when i was 11 I'm now 13 ( setup dye dm7 w/ 48/45 guerrilla air and torque loader) so as you can see I'm a speedballer which is why I play at overkill and I'm there every weekend and they always have they're speedball field setup or you can set it up with the leaf blower.

PROS carter the guy who owns it is very nice unlike jill bert who is mean but in a good way, they have a cool walk in trailor where me and most of the team hang out,
they have a nice canteen type thing in the trailor with water, pop, energy drinks, chips etc.
brand new set of bunker that carter ordered and just received last weekend.

CONS carter only sets his compressser too 3000 psi and doesn't fill 4500 psi
spped ball field is under construction(but is still safe too use)and will be done soon

so check out this field.!!!

p.s they call me crazy hair or curly and I'm tryin too start a speedball team so check this feild out

P.S2 the tryouts for the team are pretty much every weekend

Review: I believe this is a good all-around field. I have played in several fields overseas, and this one is in the top 3.
Lots of open space, tables to set up, the 3000 psi compressor is well situated, right next to the timing alley (BTW, they have two speed checks, no need to stand in long lines)
I'm not into speedball,l so I won't rate the court... suffice to say that it had lots of inflatable obstacles in the standard shapes, X's, doritos, snake, tombstone, etc... and it seemed to have a nice, clean, level surface.
Now to the milsim scenario... several towers, lots of places to hide behind, nice wooded area to one side and a small hill to the other side...
It gets swampy easily due to the amount of shade, but it's all part of the experience, right?
Lots of knowledgeable easygoing refs (They sometimes ask the players how they wanna play)
Field paint only field... Paint price is standard for the area, $20 per 500 bag. HPA fills free on Sunday walk-on days.
I saw a birthday party going at the rest area in between rounds, how funny is that? I guess it shows how people friendly the place is.

What would I improve?

Well, it needs a paved lot (it's gravel now). It would make the playing field so much more professional looking. But I know paving is not free and businessmen have to keep costs down.
Some of the access paths to the woodsball area are VERY muddy... maybe someone should gravel them to simplify access and improve drainage. This move does not cost a lot of money and people appreciate that.

The field is not too far from Halifax, which is also a plus. They offer snacks and drinks for sale at the Pro shop. Not a lot of choices, but you go there to play, not for a gourmet meal.

I will definitely visit them again. You should too, if you are in the area. I rate it a 8 just because it needs a little work to be a 9, and I don't think there are perfect 10 fields.

None have a speedball/xball field that even compares to OK's
Review: Unlike all of the other fields in Nova Scotia, Overkill Sportz actually has a walk in Canteen/ Proshop. OK Sportz also supports the only Xball ready field in NS, complete with tower, pits, penalty boxes and a scoreboard as well as a top of the line playing surface. Enough about the speedball, OK also offers and large urban setting woodsball field, complete with towers, buildings and a deep wooded section. This field has it all, great fields, great staff ;), and great players.

As far as services, OK offers Tippmann 98 Custom rental packages complete with a high pressure air system and paint for an affordable price. The field uses a 3000psi compressor and a soon to be 4500psi. Recently the local scenario team began to fill C02 for the players that still rock that.

All in all, this field is hands down, the best overall in Nova Scotia, and trust me, I've been to all that say they compare.

Review: Overkills has by far the best speed ball field in the area. It has nice grass, nice air bunkers, good fill station area and the field fee is only $5. The staff is very knowledgeable and its not hard to start up games or find refs for games on Sundays. Overkill does a big part locally in setting up tournaments and events which always have a great turnout. The only downfall about Overkill is the price of paint. Its a field paint only field which is ok, but they sell Draxxus white box for $100 a case, where any Joe Blow can order a case from www.buypbl.com for $47 a case and the is not whole sale price fields get. This is the only reason I dont go to the field every weekend and instead every odd weekend.

Review: The outdoor field with a natural grass is fantastic to play on. Excellent drainage removes standing water quickly so even after heavy rains there are few to no puddles to deal with. Xball bunkers arranged and positioned by staff in ever changing layouts allows for interesting educated play on each visit.
Safety is apparent with consistent reminders from staff on rules and posted warnings.
Hours of operation are consistent on weekends but may require a phone call to facility during the week.
Prices are relatively consistent with other major paintball centers across Canada. Entrance fee is minimal, rental packages are reasonable and include paint. Free HPA available for all. Typical expense at OVERKILL is paint as this is a Field Paint Only (FPO) Center. Two grades of Draxxus paint available and costs are reasonable compared to other Canadian centers. All games( speed or woodsball) have referees to oversee rules and safety.
Most players at this center are more than willing to help new players. Overkill sponsored players are always on hand to offer technical support and advice, or to just lend a hand.
On sundays there is free hotdogs for the players.
Proshop has minor repair parts and a growing variety of hard and soft parts for all types of players.
The complete experience at Overkill, from the field conditions to helpful staff, to the players associated with this field who are willing to go out of their way to make your personal experience top notch is more than worth it.

Review: My experience at this field was the indoor one and it was great. People and staff were very friendly. Great facility. Lot of space for player. If the outdoors experiences is like the indoor, you guys must have a lot of a good time out there. The only reason I did'nt try the outdoors is the ride down there (7 hours for me). But it should be a great outdoors field. Indoor was awsome.

The only reason I did'nt give a 10 for the indoor is because the field should be more ventilated. The air was fill with dust. A better ventilation would be great. But this problem will not keep me away from that indoor since it's the only indoor facilities in Atlantic.

Great experience overall!!! Keep up the good work!!!!!
