Kincaid Park - Not even on the same level, 907 is so much better than Kincaid. Escpecially since Kincaid got sut down. Plus I like speedball way more than woodsball. Not that I dont like woodsball, I just dont like sitting there for 30 minutes waiting for the other team to find me...
Directions to the Field:
Take C Street south until it changes into Klatt. Once you see Anchorage Sports Park on your right it is right there, pull into Tower Rd, and park in the parking lot.
Safety - They were fairly big on safety, I spotted a few flaws but nothing too big. Like it was my friends first time playing paintball... ever, and he didn't get any sort of safety breifing or anything like that. I had already given him one, so it wasn't too big of a deal, but they did give other people a safety briefing. It might be because my friend had already bought all his own gear and looked like he knew what he was doing. Everyone chronoed. They ensured masks were on at all times, and were all around great.
Hours Of Operation - Sat - 10-6 Sun 12-6. Works great for me, Though I sort of wish they were open earlier on Sundays.
Prices - Paint isnt that bad, and usually Bryce lets me and my friends play and get all day air for free. So for us it hasnt been too bad.
Rules - Pretty well inforced, though not really made clear to all the masses before games. But then again most of the people know what they are doing.
Services - Its just a field, though Bryce will order you stuff and have it shipped with his paint, so you dont have to pay shipping. He is a great guy.
Staff - Aside from Bryce I never really know who is working, or who is just hanging around the service area. Most people there though work there, and it isnt hard to find an employee. Plus most of them are fairly nice. One of them even offered to let me use his new NXT shocker... I turned him down, because I was using my SFT, and needed to break it in more. But they are some great guys.
Refs - Same as staff... sometimes its hard to tell who they are. But then again most people know when they are out, and how to behave on the field. Making the need for refs low.
Facilities - There are some outhouses on the other side of the park, haven't used them yet, but who knows I might next time. As for the main building, its just a connex where Bryce keeps everything.
Food - Bring your own Food.
I love this field, it is a great place to play at, plus you never really have to worry about being outgunned, they tend to divide the teams up pretty evenly. All around a great field. I give it an 8 due to the fact that there is always room for improvment.
This field is the place to go to play paintball in Alaska. The team owner, Jim Kingrea is AWESOME! and the new Field owner, John Perkins, is one of the best guys I've ever met. I played MSTS 5 2004 with him and his team as a walk-on, and it was sweet. the refs are great, and the service is better. The prices are good, and they have sodas there, plus when one of the refs runs a lunchrun, he takes orders from whoever has money. I started paintball here, and learned everything worth learning here, and will continue to visit Alaska, only to play paintball here. Heres to you guys Jim n John! forever live Element and Alaska paintball!
Hey wat up! My name is drew and i started playing at this park about to weeks ago. The park is awesome and i love it me And my friends are trying to save up to get in to some tournaments there they are crazy. Go there its super fun.
i have only played at a woods type field in kodiak...
A friend and I went to Element for a tournement, the field is awesome, all the ref's, and players there are great guys, i only wish I lived in the area, I would be there every day they were open... paint prices are average for what I am used to... 60 per case, 2 fields, both well laid out, I will be back... the only downfall, no phone nearby.
I've played at another field, I don't know what it's called.
I love this field, Jim Kingra is very nice, so are his sons. Great customer service, friendly staff and an excellent field. I always bring my friends over to play paintball and we love it. The only thing is that I wish it would open on weekdays during summer vacation, but this field is the best! Thanks Jim!
I go here every weakend on Saturday. If you go there you can find me and my team the AK hosers there in our blue jersey's. This field is the best. All of the people are really nice. Mr. Kingra the owner is the coolest. I have a 98 custom and he let me and all my friends use his Bob Long. His sons are also very nice. They always give you tips and tricks on how to get better.
well iv play'ed on the elament field many times.ternements, team practice,or just 4 recball.iv also play'ed on the sand lot(team tantrum)and that was a lot of funn also.
Iv play'ed whith team element a lot thay are good play'rs.jim the team owner is a very nice guy.gave me a lot of help whith my game.all the other play'rs are good play'rs.playing whith my former team (samurai)ugents element was how i got to be the paintballer i am to day.also team tantrum(dutch boyz)was a grate help.i got my snap shooting from them, and also the apriton of team work and detication.thay showed me what being a paintballer is.i just wont to say thank you to all the grate team's in alaska.u may not know me but i remember every last one of u.from team element, tantrum, adrenalin junkys,u know who u all are.so from a former samuria player, thanx to all of u who are showing us to be the best ballers we can.
love now and forever Tatiana Dealany
I used to play at GAP and I have played once at Urban. Both were good, but they only had one field each and were on crazy surfaces (wood chips and sand). Also, the experience of the staff was not nearly what it is at Element.
This is far and away one of my favorite fields! I have played a lot of paintball at a lot of places (even Cousins in NY) and not many compare with Element Paintball! The service is great, the prices are great, and the scenery (Chugach Mountains as the backdrop) is fantastic! They have two Sup'Air fields that are completely changed every weekend, and both are on mowed grass! Team Element and their B team Element Gold are field staff. On top of being great paintball players, they are also great representatives of the sport of paintball. They are never hesitant to offer tips and tricks to newbies or other local players. The only thing I can complain about is that they are not closer to my house (I live on the East side!).
Also, I don't know how you do it, but I wanted to point out that they changed location. Sometime last summer they moved from Goose Lake to the South Anchorage Sports Park on Klatt road, on the south side of town.
great field, the dad and his sons run a great field, there also a great team ( got to see element in action ) they r very helpful and nice and when i ran out of my co2 they didnt want me to go home so they gave me a rental n2 tank for free so i could keep playin. they over charge for paint but its pretty good. they r always open to questions and r willing to help any one out. the field set up is great and they make it diffrent every time. so if u paintball and u live in anchorage or u are in town give this field i try, i think u will like it.
The is field is so much fun. The people and refs are really cool, nice, and fair. The owner is also way way cool. He keeps his prices very reasonable. There are also always a good group of people there to play with. Basically I love this field. If your in Alaska you have to stop buy here on the weekend. Oh that is one bad thing about it. I wish it was open more than just the weekend but thats alright, It gives me something to look forward to.
