First Strike Paintball, Wayne's World, Rocky Creek, First Coast Paintball, Old River Paintball, Ozzie's Kamakazee, and several others
The owners and referees were very friendly and warm. They were easy to get to know and you could easily tell they were interested in their customer's satisfaction. They have three fields: two speedball and one woods course. The speed ball fields are made of hyperball and well laid out. One field was half shaded so you did not have to play in the sun all day. Both fields were well balanced and thought out to maximize player fun and interaction. The grounds were extremely clean and well kept. Up front there is a a covered area with tables and a "FAN" blowing on you. Prices for field fees, paint, and air are very competitive. This field is under new ownership so since March 2005, if you haven't been there since this time please do. The right owner(s) make a difference in your paintball experience...you won't be disappointed.
I intend to frequent this establishment as time permits.

Armagedon (out of business :( )
Alright, I guess I can sit down and write a thorough review right now, so here goes.
By the way, my name is Justin Simmons, I have been out there only a few times (I was the one with blue 05 proto gear)
I have only played at this field once since the new owners took over, and I have to say, they are very nice people. When I went, it was only me and maybe 5 other people, we showed up at around 9 that morning and played for a good part of the day. When we got there, they were just setting up and seemed pleased that they had some players on their first day open. We put our stuff out on the tables that they have out there for that purpose and geared up to play. I had an extra case of paint that i had from a previous day and asked if he would mind if I used it, he didn't mind at all, and was very nice about it.
When we were chronoing our guns we were just kind of hanging around and chilling until we felt like playing. When we got onto the field, the ref, im sorry, but I don't recall his name, went over some of the basic rules for us, he let us adjust the rules to our liking (such as bunkering and such) then we went to the starting point (not really a dead box) and got ready. At this point I could tell that the ref was very professional and actually enjoyed what he was doing at the same time. He counted the 3,2,1 10 seconds, and then we began playing.
The fields that they have are fairly nice fields. The only problems are
1. they are hyperball, no air bunkers
2. the dirt is very soft and hard to slide on, there are a good few mole tunnels to get stuck in.
but besides the few problems, I enjoyed playing on the two fields that they have available. Each time, we decided to play a bit differently, just to mix it up a bit..
As some previous reviews have said, they do offer a woodsball field, which was, from what I saw, fairly nice if you are into the scenario (which I am not, but it is personal preference). He gave us a quick tour of their field, despite most of it being under water because of the hurricanes and we had some leisurely chatting about some of their plans, world cup, just different things. Then we went back to the staging area and chilled for a bit. Eating some of the chicken and hot dogs that they had (which was a very nice thing, especially because we were some of the only people out there)
After lunch we went back to playing, some of the games turned out very strange and interesting. One guy, apparently was sitting in the back bunker the entire game, unknown to us, and at the end, when I bunkered the last player and went to hang the flag, commenced in shooting me several time. This was actually, despite what you might think, not an annoyance, but simply a very humorous incident. I thought it was funny and so did everyone else.
After we got done playing for the day we went and sat around the staging area, we packed up our gear and just fooled around for a bit, throwing paintballs at my brothers truck and such.....
all in all, I think that it was a great day of paintball, and I am very pleased with the field and the staff. I am trying to find time to go again, but i have so much stuff going on, that it is hard to find time to play :(
so in conclusion I'll make lists of pro's and cons
1. the staff, even though they do not have a great deal of staff (i.e. refs) the people there are very nice and seem to be very happy with their work
2. the fields are pretty nice (excepting what i listed)
3. lunch, a major plus
4. very hospitable and laid back atmosphere, probably the most important aspect when looking for a field
some things to work on:
1. the Fields, as I said before, mole hills and maybe grow some grass
2. the woodsball course, of course this is not a problem for me, as I am not a woodsballer, but for some, this might be a set back
so all in all, I rate Paintball Nutz as a 9 (read update)
I hope to see you guys again when i get back from New Mexico, i will probably be out there in August.
keep up the good work
I went out there to play yesterday, and I have to say, they are still as nice and hospitable as always. The fields are now covered in grass and they have different formats on the hyperball fields. We went out there and had a great time. We played quite a few games and had some good storys to tell afterwards. They still provide lunch and still have no field fee, all he asks is use his paint, which is fine because it is fresh and very decent quality.
So now, because of the grass, and the ever present southern hospitality, I rate it a 9.5

Stone Serious, Not a bad field, only pro shop in town, recently moved their field across town from the shop though :(
Great atmosphere, laid back, Lance makes it very fun to play out there whether there are 2 or 20 people.
2 speedball fields and a woodsball course, of course thanks to the hurricanes its still under water. I like the fixed bunkers here tons better the the usually over-inflated air bunkers at Stone Serious. All P.Nutz stuff is on site and Lance will help you instantly with any problem you have.
Paintball Nutz is now my primary playing field and will be for a long time to come.
