This was the first senerio I had ever played and it was awsome. The first feild was difficult terrain steep hills and big rocks witch provided a lot of good cover. The second feild we played on was the castle feild also awsome. I realy enjoyed this feild it was a little more flat but a lot of great hidding places. Roger is a great guy very strict on the rules but that is a good thing he is most worried about you having fun. If you get a chance go and play there I am about 90 miles away and I will be going back again.
Paint Games (Holden)
Several Others to many to name
This field will be growing and changing every month now that the owner roger is putting all his efforts in it. The Castle field is being updated and the play areas will be expanded for all types of play from BIG to small. This field and all of its staff are fun friendly and family oriented. It apears all the staff are bringing this field back to what this sport was intended for...FUN & FRIENDLY entertainment for everyone. With the monthly scenario games ran by the owner (Roger) starting again this field is going to be a huge sucess. I suggest everyone tries this field at least once.
Roger who runs homeland will make everyones time there worth it. Roger, his mom and Froto (the big dog) were very welcoming! I have never been paintballing but the idea of having my 20th birthday out there sounded like a blast. I had a group of 15 friends go out. not everyone paintballed but he made sure everyone had something to do. Some went fishing, he brought some girls out on the field who just wanted to get some action shots (with their camera), he built a bonfire and we had hot dogs and marshmellows. anything you need you'll get. The course was awesome. So many places to hide. The castle was amazing. Wether it's your first time ever paintballing or you are very experienced the course is for everyone and roger will make sure you have fun! Very cheap prices. $25 to play all day. He provides all the gear, guns and the air. you can bring your own paint or buy from him. safety is number one. i would reccomend this course to anyone. I know you'll like it! We played a game where you have a group in the castle and a group out of the castle and you have to try and raid the castle. then we played fox and hound. even though i had no idea what i was doing roger gave me hints and made sure i got some shots in. =-) Definitely check it out. We plan to go back again soon. we were invited to camp on the grounds and go fishing in his ponds, and of course paintball. Everyone there had a great time and can't wait to go back. It definitely made my birthday the best i have had yet.
First off I wanted to note that the reason I decided to play here was because of what others here have stated. They were right. Roger and his mom are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. He was more than helpful with anything we needed. We had 4 people that were basically new to paintball and he made sure that everyone had fun. The castle field is great, many many bunkers for both sides, lots of cover. I personally liked the speedball course the best. It was nice because once people startet leaving, he let us play pretty much whatever we wanted. We will deffinitely be back for the night scenario.
The only CON was the heat, but you can't blame that on the place, mother nature does what it wants.
My friends and I went out to Homeland this past weekend for the first time. This Field is huge, tons of hiding places in the Castle, and speed-ball fields, and just plain kick butt woods! The prices are cheap, and you can bring your own paint for FREE! Rodger the owner did say that the prices will go up a little this July! but not much. The only thing we did not like was it was a nice weather day on a sat, and only 10 players total all day! IF you could get more to come it would be awesome, they said the events they have are a huge draw so we will have to make one of the events, or bring more buddies!

it does not compare for the following reasons 1. not organized enough 2. they have alot of good cool events but i've explored the site top to bottom and I can't find prices owner names anything usefull i've emaild them several times and they haven't got back to me i think that i'm going to stick to my roots and keep going to dropzone they are actually consistant in every thing i've listed
This field is the best one out there. Roger, the co-owner is just awesome. The field is Huge and the refs are fair. Ken, the other Co-owner totally knows what he is doing and he is probably the best paintballer I have ever seen in person. This field is an absolute must.
drop zone, more of a touney crowd. jaegers, its a stinky cave but ok when it snows
Directions to the Field:
west of ottawa 14 miles
homeland has gone through alot of changes over the years all of them good. The castle field is like a giant maze inside the castle, and a huge area outside with lots of cover, towers, and all types of structures. The staging area overlooks the castel field and is completely covered with a roof and netting, great for watching games. The speedball field is one of a kind in this area if you have never played a hyperball field you should give it a try.Prices are lower than most places around, for open play.Rules are standard and well followed.Air to 4500 psi ,and co2 are free with $15 entry.Refs are cool and are all about customer service.Players are always cool and honest.check them out at homelandpaintball.net!

After spending countless weekends rounding and shuttling friends of my son to play at our farm, we decided to give Homeland and DZ a try. Homeland was just AWESOME. The owner goes over and above to help out folks, from experienced players to first timers. Free Air, low cost fees and reasonable field paint are huge plusses...you can bring your own paint and he's willing to work with with folks on markers and equipment.
We even approached about setting up a practice area for SPPL training!
He has an incredible setup for church groups, scouts or large groups to play, local folks in the area that can help ref and train...all in all a great opportunity to play.
The Castle is pretty cool, though if I must add a comment...completing the second castle would be a HUGE plus to the playing field.
All manner of play is available from Woodsball to Speedball to Scenario play.
Looking for an awesome place to play? Easy to find? Affordable? Great staff and Refs? then this is it.
I dont know what to say but that this place was amazing, we were able to get our own games going while the ref was setting up the people that just showed up.
The castle field is by far the best anywhere around here. lots of places to hide, and even more to shoot people from.
Hyperball is a great layout, and a lot of fun to play on
The ref is great there, very good about watching for people having a mask on. really nice people there too. they let us stay for an extra hour or more becuase we all still had some paint left. im deffinently going back as soon as i get mu funds back up
