this is the only flied i played at, but i play at friends house, it is more fun there.
the prices are way to high, they can over charge because they are the only place in the eugene area. I bought a Spyder E-99 for $165 with a 16oz tank, battery charger,
e-hopper, free jersey. for less what they where asking it for with an 9oz tank and a regular hopper for $190. they over charge on their paintballs and they SUCK. can't wait for the palce in Cottage Grove to open, it will be bigger and better.
Splat action, Weekend Warriors Nw, Hot shots before they shut down(anyone rememeber that indoor arena? lol)
Paintball palace is the only indoor arena close to Eugene, so most of the *newer* players go there. There is quite a few regs that go on Sat nights for *some* competition. Overall the indoor field has an awsome layout, just a little too dark. The staff there is really nice and sometimes overly helpful lol.
The outdoor field is more for the tourney style players I think. I took a couple of friends who never played before outdoor and they didn't like getting bunkered and stuff. There is some pretty good competition there, much more then indoor. The airball field is sweet but I really can't wait for the hyperball field, that field is gonna own. Curt has to be the nicest owner of a paintball field, plus he's still got the skills(you should see him own with a pirahna lol). I give the indoor an 8 and the outdoor a 10.
This is great place the owner is a real great guy. Go Curt!!! The indoor is kinda lame it is fun but their is always new players. It is also a bit dark for my taste. The outdoor is great. The air ball is fun to play and the hyperball is going to be the best around once the grass is done growing. I also believe that their is a mounds field in the work.
Overall this is a good field the owner is great and they have a very good staff.
They also provide a safe enviroment.
The indoor field is perfect for those rainy days... but beware... it'll be packed to the 40 person field limit... and over half of them WILL be newer players... and the indoor field is pretty cluttered... but its setup very well... and provides for some really nice play...
Over all I'd give the indoor a 6/10... because of the crowdedness and newer players all the time...
The outdoor field is about 10 times better than the indoor... because the newer players really don't know about it... so you get some nice games going on...
They have a great airball field... very well balanced... and 3 woods fields... although the woods fields have a tendincy to be quite slick when wet...(i ran headlong into a few bunkers...and almost took the wall out of one building...)
And the hyperball field I haven't played yet because they're seeding it with grass... but it looks incredibly sweet...
And the outdoor gets a 9/10... lots of good players...and good refs...
