Review: Let me say this is by far my favorite place to go. This place is like a home away from home. Tina makes free food for everyone when people come and treats everyone like there her best friend. This field has a ton of woods for all those woodsballers and scenario ballers out there but also has several fields dedicated to speedball. Prices are very good here you definatly dont burn holes in your pockets. This place is also very very safe while not on any of the fields your gun must have some type of barrel sock or plug on or you will get yelled at or kicked out (i know because i forget alot and brad keeps me in check) there are also many other rules that are obvious that are gone over in detail before anyone plays. This place offers gun rentals, airball, co2 and N2 filling, full equipment rentals, scenarios games and much more. The field is open to normal play on weekends and on weekdays its reserved for special partys or teams that pre arrange it. The staff is great everyone is fair and friendly and are very willing to help you with any problems. For a great experience pick da nuke!!!

Review: A little bit of history: until this spring, this field was operated by Rockford Paintball. To see some more reviews on this field, you might want to take a look at the reviews for Rockford Paintball.

NEW owners/operators, Brad and Tina: This weekend was the first weekend I have been out this year/since the ownership changed. I played this field quite a bit last year when it was still Rockford Paintball. The new operators, Brad and Tina, seem like very nice people. They even provided lunch at no cost - they grilled hot dogs for everybody. I do not know if there is free lunch every weekend, but it was a nice token of appreciation. They are very open to suggestions, and let the players help determine the scenarios before games. Also, if you email them, they will write back pretty quickly.

Pricing: Admission was $20, and an extra $5 for all day HPA or CO2. One downside is that there are no rental HPA tanks, only rental CO2 tanks. Since they are just starting out, I would assume rental HPA tanks will be coming sometime in the future. I believe they have Misfits for rentals, but I did not check them out. This is a BYOP field, which is nice.

Refs: The ref's were very nice, and on the spot. No complaints about the ref's at all. As I mentioned, there were no HPA tanks to rent. I had a problem with mine, and one of the ref's offered me his HPA tank for a couple of games.

Game play: This field lets you respawn after you are marked out. When Rockford Paintball operated the field, you had to wait 5 minutes before respawning. The new owners let you come back in immediately, which can throw off the game a little. Hopefully they will reinstate the 5 minute rule, or have some games with no respawn. Good rotation of scenarios, and its been my experience that the players out at this field (even when it was Rockford Paintball) are all very nice and a lot of fun to play with.

Field: This is the best woodsball field I have played on. Rolling terrain, including a ravine, a pine tree forest, many paths, very thick brush in areas and also some small clearings here and there. This field is big - I believe 40+ acres. Lots of opportunities for flanking and sneaking around. There is a city area that is being developed into the airball field, and they open it up for woodsball games, too... so you get some neat battles that break out on the airball field even in the middle of a woodsball game. Their website has a cool satellite photo of the field.

Overall: 8/10. Nice people and a GREAT woodsball field. I believe game play typically starts around 12:00 noon, but they play until 6:00pm, so you can still sleep in or go to church and get in a lot of play. Good place to play, regardless of skill level or experience. The only downsides are that it is a bit of a drive to get there (but they do start and end late) and that they have no HPA tanks to rent.

Review: Da nuke is a great field. They have airball, byop, cheap entry, and cheap tourneys with high payouts, great refs, and they are well ran. Thumbs up to da nuke. Brad and Tina have done a great job, and they finally got netting up a few weekends ago, the field is really starting to take shape. Dan is fat.
