i have played at rnt, spraypaint, strikeforce, mikes, ozzies and extreme rage.
Directions to the Field:
in opa locka
rnt is located in opa locka. they have like 4 fields. if u like playing airball or speedball this is NOT the place for you. the airball field sucks and the speedball blows. the one reason y i have only played at this place once is because of the SAND. there is no grass what so ever at ruff n tuff. once i bought my ego i have never played ther becasue with my previous gun, i would have to clean it for hours after playin at rnt becasue of all the sand. this place is run down. if u like woods and scenario then this is the place for you. but if ur in to airball and speedball like on espn and what the pros play then u should never play here. and my last point is that alot of ppl dont know this but the land is on a previous land fill and there is always trash comin up onto the land and the reffs and staff r always pikin it up. this is the truth and this is my opinion. ...
only outlaw fields, avocado farms, abandoned/unkept rail road tracks.
This is a very nice field, 2 woods, an airball, hyperball, and a lego. Other than the sand, physically the place is very nice and pretty well kept. I would have to say it's the BEST field in south Florida. Now the staff on the other hand, just a bunch of lazy bums. Honestly to get a ref is an enormous mission (thankfully we met some regulars who did most of the haggling) and to get a ref to actually pay attention in a game is ridiculous. I noticed most of the reviews note this as well. Paint is 60 dollars for some pretty low grade field paint, thankfully my barrel (stock prostock 05 barrel) was .690 because it was breaking quite often for others as it was pretty large. I brought 3 other coworkers who had never played paintball. Their rentals were garbage, not sure what they were but they weren't spyder quality which is what I would expect at the minimum. If anybody knows what they are please comment. Two of my coworkers lost their barrel socks so they got yelled at, and then were forced to purchase 2 for 5 dollars each, which went back to the field after they returned their rentals... not very customer friendly considering the ref will just go and pick them back up...
-we were never told/forced to chrony
-there was no real way of telling who was on what team
-no team balance whatsoever
-if there are party's don't plan on playing very often. you get kicked off benches and will have a very tough time getting a field.
-I was personally told not to shoot in between the cracks of the logs stacked as bunkers... because my "mask has to be visible." later with another ref many people were doing it with no penalty.
-no CTF only elim
I watched this event unfold- I was behind a guy getting a drink at the machines. the machine eats his dollar and he smacks the machine with his fist. out of nowhere this old man comes and shoves him back and starts yelling him in spanish about breaking the machine. the guy replies in spanish that he won't hit the machine but for the old man not to touch him. the belligerent old man replies shouting about the machine and flailing his arms and the guy is a little surprised and just tells him there's not a problem with not hitting the machine but for the old man not to touch him... this goes back and forth for several more times when the employees run up saying "poppa poppa" trying to calm the old man down while i thought another was going to punch the other guy. I later heard from a dude that the old man who appears to have Parkinson's is the field owners father... needless to say we were pretty surprised.
I personally wouldn't mind spending 60 dollars a case plus 10 dollars admission with only 5 air refills, because as I said there's a variety of nice fields, which IMO is worth the money spent... however the experience is ruined with lazy staff. We met maybe 2 decent referees. Any business that treats it's customers by ripping them off (shoddy paint, 10 dollars lost for the stupid barrel socks) and then not even taking care of them (lazy refs, awkward confrontation with "Poppa") shouldn't last very long, but when 90% of the customers are 15 or under they can get away with those type of things. Thankfully my coworkers overall enjoyed themselves and would like to continue playing in the future. I'm giving it a 3 even though it's got a great field because the field is nothing without a good customer interaction.
i personally do not like playing here .......... the bad part about RNT is that their paint is to expensive : 60 dollars for a box....... and the paint isn't even the best paint ..... ( the best paint is marballizer which cost 60 bucks for 2000 rounds ..... i highley recommend this paint)........... secondly you have to buy their paint you cant bring your own or else they wont let you play there ...... so if u do plan on going to play there... bring 70 dollars because they also have a 10 dollar entrance fee ....... the reefs are also very lazy and love to talk to you during a game so its hard to concentrate......... they never go over any rules ..... ( one time i hid behind a bunker and the other guy was sneaking up on me puts the barrel point blank on my arm and fires 4 times....... over all your better off playing laser tag at chuckie cheese than going to RNT .
This was the first time my 10 year old boy and I have played and found Henry on the staff extremely professional and helpful. We played most of the day and had a great time. The folks that we were playing with were courteous (regulars) and didn't mind playing with beginners. We especially recommend playing in the 'big woods' which allowed for a ton of moving around and cover.
Strike force. Strike force isnt nearly as good as this field.
This field is really good. It has three speedball fields and two woodsball fields. These fields are great and you can get a lot of playing time because of so many fields. I found only three problems. The paint is expensive, the staff is pretty lazy, and the fields are full of sand which if youre not careful can screw up your gun.
chaos, hotshot, few others.....suck compared to rnt
uuuuummm well this field is awesome. Great hyperball field, speedball. I dun really like the lego field, to weird. N i dun play forest. But all the fields are good, pretty much
*refs- well I had a great ref. he chilled wit ma group de the whole time. He made sure we played fair, but wasnt all strick n stuff
*paint- tooooooooooooooooo expensive. 60 dollars a box.I was like dam, dats de thing dat almost ruined de whole day. cause 2000 paintballs last maybe a 1 hour n a half, so i need like 5000 rounds cause ma gun rips (sytem x nme, eve 2, crossfire 4500 psi 88 cu, freak barrel). if u wanna play wit me leave a n comment ill give u my aim n stuff
well, overall its a great field n i hope to go atleast once a month, dats how much i like it.if only day lowered the price...............i would be there everyday..lol
Rough n tuff was a great feild to play at, experienced players, good feilds, and good refs. I would not reccomend this feild for begginners unless you want to get lit up. when I first went I got nailed by pros. But it was still fun. This is definately a must play at feld and dont listen to the begginers who say it sucks.
Well to start off, RNT's refs are the worst i have ever seen. They dont pay attention what so ever. I remember shooting one in the back of the head by accident as a kid ran by and he just kept talking to the other ref. WtF!?. Tho i do enjoy the fields, i dont find anything wrong with them. Paint is kinda expensive at rnt. I also dont like the inside pro shop lines. If you come as soon as they open, u shouldent have a problem with the long lines. But if u come their at 2 in the afternoon, prepare to be in line for a while. I remember seeing someone coming out bleeding. Well all in all rnt is a pretty good place to play. I just hope the refs improve a bit by getting their head outta their asses and paying more attention to the game. :)
I've only played once here, and it seemed to be a pretty good field. I played in a tournament, i believe it was called the Kidz. They had 3 speedball fields and i think there was two woods fields, but i only played on one of them. The one that i did play on was great and was a very nice size. The only problem i had was that there were people in that tournament who shouldn't have been playing in it. The tournament was 16 years old and under, but there were people playing who were probably about 21. That and the tournament was supposed to be very little or no tourny experience, but there was a sponsored team playing. Its a good field, i just wish they would check for proof of age or something in the future. I give it a 7.
Ruff and Tuff is a great paintball field. They have 1 xball, two speedball, and 2 woods fields which are in my book excellent. The only thing is that the ref's are somewhat lazy and sometimes biased if they dont like you. They really dont chrono guns but its safe.
Went to play about two weeks ago and the refs were much improved they now have a shop next door where they sell guns, upgrades, and stuff.
The layout has changed to two speedball, one lego, and two woods fields which are very good.
RNT has improved its definetly the best in the area.
