I played in Rochester NY.. no comparison on the two of them, that was indoors and this one is outdoors. The prices are almost double out there.
Directions to the Field:
The entrance is off Ewing on Chestnut. They have just recently put up a sign that is higher which makes it much easier to find.
Staff and players are very nice and helpful here. They are very clear on the rules and safety for the field. The prices are wonderful, and they even have hot dogs for only a dollar. There are always plenty of people willing to help you in any way you need. They are only open on Sundays which is a bit of a bummer, and they are not open in the winter.
the field is real easy to find the entrence is on chestnut off of ewing road in newfane or you can get to it from 425 both end of chestnut
the first time I ever played and I am hooked from playing at this field the owner Jason was a big help in it he was vary knowledgeable in the sport and answered all my questions they were vary cheap with there prices I thought it was like $20.00 for play, all day air, gun,and mask I seen the staff fixing guns at no charge the paint was cheap priced to $40.00 a case fields were big for a group of people to get together and play and they had many different types of fields woods ball, speed ball and cast el all were fun and the refs help with any type of question I had during and or after the game people who played were all friendly and helpful to could and would go and have a bear with any of them cant wait to play again this Sunday and every Sunday there after you can count me in
Headhunters is a pretty good place...cheap paint prices but good quality $40 per 2000 paintballs. the owners are very helpful when it come to fixing gun. just good people who you could deffinatly have a beer with. The field is nice...great woods ball field which makes for great castle games...the only problem is if u gotta poop ur stuck with the out house. But dont play with the owners son he wipes like crazy! i reffed a game and caught him on multiple occasions whipping but he would still play....overall its a great place to play ball and they treat you and your party fairly and its deffinatly one of the best fields in the area i highly reccomend it
Played on sat april 10. Staff is awesome with prices, equipment and knowledge. Had very very good time. would highly recommend to everyone interested in good fun. weather was very good , little windy. Road in is a little bumpy, vehicles low to ground should park out front if its muddy. Thanks to all staff, will be returning asap.
The field entrance is off Chestnut road, approx one mile from the corner of Ewings Rd and Chestnut. The entrance should have a small sign at ground height. Recommend 4WD if it is wet!
Jason and his crew provided our group of professionals and their children a great experience! Head Hunters is closed during the winter months for week/weekend play but is open for parties if you call Jason. We were, for the most part, newbies. After handing in our waivers and a very brief safety talk, we were on our way. There is a great mix of woods ball, open field with barrels and two castles/forts. The leaves were off the trees when we played after Christmas, but I am itching to play when the spring roles around. The day is as cheap as you want it to be. If you would like to get trigger happy on your buddies, you can purchase a case (2000 count) of high grade paint balls for $40 off of them. They provided, filled and maintained the paint markers and face masks for us! The cost was $20+paint balls using their equipment. We brought our own beverages and snacks but a few people have posted that they may provide hot dogs, etc. If you are even remotely interested in trying the sport and are not sure if you will be good or it is safe, just go to Head Hunters and try it!
The fields were pretty well kept and had a variety of gameplay styles available. The staff working there were also very friendly and helpful. They even provided us with a free bag of paintballs when we ran out. Many of us were totally new to paintball, and they thoroughly explained everything, and made all of us feel very comfortable.
The only negative I had was that the field was a little difficult to spot the first time going there.
not from area. In rochester NVP and Performance paintball-speed ball setups no woods ball one indoor one outdoor. slightyly expensive.. prefer to make the drive to headhunters

Head Hunters is a great place to play paintball. Jason and his staff are very friendly and helpful. If you have marker problems they will do thier best to try and fix them free of charge usually. A small group of my friends make the trip from rochester every couple of weeks to come here. we enjoy the experience very much. Their is always a good number of people there playing varing in skill sets. from new players to some expierenced players. So far every one i've played with over the last few months have been pretty friendly. Head Hunters prices in my opinon are very reasonable. as cheap as $15 for air and field play if you have own equipment. Head Hunters currently lets you bring your own Paintballs which is why we enjoy this place so much. He also provides paintballs for those in need at various prices wich are very reasonable. i think $40 for a case. compared to the places in rochester this is a steal. they also have all the standard rental equipment. very affoadable. Headhunters also provides hotdogs and drinks for very cheap. Bottom line Head Hunters is a very good time and afforable. So come on down and lets sling some paint you wont be disapointed. Forgot to mention its mostly a woodsball(very large field). However they do have a new speed ball field. the speedball field has come a long way over the last few months. so head hunters has a little something for everyone. CHEAP!! CHEAP!! CHEAP!! FUN!! FUN!! FUN!!
First time for myself and stepson and 2 of his buddies,WE had a Great time,,field was awesome, rental euip. was way better than I expected!!! T here was a small group of guys that seemed really into it,,they were fun and helpful,,everybody just wanted to have FUN and we did,,we will definitely do it AGAIN!! Jason (owner) was very freindly and out going, he made us feel welcomed !!Prices were very reasonable.. MAN some of those shots HURT,,ONLY FOR A MINUTE !!!
What a great sport to do together outside and get these kids away from that stupid ass x-box and playstation !!!
The map is a little confusing....its not on ewings...its on a street off of ewings called chestnut road just look for the headhunters sign.... (Lockport)
Really good field , better than warriors and nvp...the staff is the bestyou can find,i went there ywice and they ensure the game is played fairly and they are really mature about your safety making sure u r wearing goggles in danger zones....prices are the best in N.Y hands down...
Great field the staff is helpful and know alot. everyone there knows the game and all about it. they keep players inline and not violent. also they are hopefully opening a proshop soon. sunday is open play and the people are of every age group and skill. also for five dollars to play all day you cant beat it
