This field is now permanently closed. It was great while it lasted. They are out of business. We can only hope to find somewhere as good as this to play. Hawgpaint is out of business. They sold their mobile field and are no longer providing paintball support.
For some reason the review keeps telling me this field contains too few words. So I hope after typing this, it will let me post my review. It is funny that I have to type all this just to say the field is no longer open. I was just trying to save you some time, so you did not have to call. Well lets see if this is enough words now.
We played at HawgPaints Hooper field for an Eragon event. It was a blast!!!! Everyone had fun and the events went very smooth. I am very impressed with this new field. Keep the games coming guys!!!!!!!!!
Safety was a number one importance to the staff, and the refs were fair, we had a lot of players there and they kept us players up on air and paint. (which was available on site)
I was anxious to see these guys get their business off the ground, but disappointed to find out that so far its been a flop.
The real problem with this company is poor organization and planning when it came to their tournament. I read an email which vaguely described what (to me) sounded like the most redneck tournament of all time. They didn't get the word out to the paintball community about this tournament very well, in fact when I talk to my friends, almost nobody even knows who these guys are yet.
If you want to start hosting tournaments, you have to know a little about how to host them first. I hope the hawgpaint guys read this, because this message is for them:
You need to talk to some of the veteran tournament directors around here before you jump into something like this. Ask Allen at Millenium, John at Addicts, or even the Aardvark guys from down south, because they can all give you advice on how to get your business off the ground. When Allen heard you had problems he said something like "they should have asked me, I could have told them that bad netting and slight wind can cause big problems for a tournament. I've been dealing with wind for the last XX years."
