Comando Paintball, everything was alot more expensive, they didn't have a speedball field and the balls don't blow up.
Directions to the Field:

Embrun ON K0A 1M0
5 minutes away from the 417 (Limoges exit)
To start off, I'd like to say that I had never been that much into playing paintball untill I went to this place. Chuck (owner) is really nice, he sold me my first marker, I got a good deal and he set everything up for me. The proshop is really clean, he has everything you need and if he doesn't he will order it for you. He also takes care of your equipment if anything happens to it and he tries to fix it on the spot. The staff is really nice and fun to have arround, they are always ready to help you if you need something and they get out of their way to do it if they have to. I'm really glad I started playing there, because it's really close to home and it's the best place arround, in my opinion anyways. I love the speedball field, Chuck sets it up differently so that we don't always play on the same field. Every other field is really nice and fun, they're very well taken care of and they're always working on making new ones. For safety, rules and such it's pretty much like everywhere else. I love this place, I will be playing there for a long time that's for sure.

BEST field in the region, no question about it. The staff is extremely polite and make you feel welcome whether you're a beginner or a pro! Chuck (the owner/tech) is very knowledgeable and will answer any and all of your paintball questions!
The fields are varied and pose different challenges to all players. Multiple new fields are in development as we speak, including a tower field! And the ones they have already inspire great confidence in the level of work and quality that is put into their layouts. Built by a pro, everything flows great and allows all levels of players to fully enjoy themselves all day long.
The prices are BY FAR, the best around. They supply good quality paint at low prices, much better grade of paint than the other fields while having to spend less money!!!
The location is perfect, near the 417, 5 minutes from the new calypso water-park, bring the whole family and make a day of it! Different packages allow large groups to take advantage of the fields by reservation as well as memberships for those who are looking to play seriously throughout the year.
Come check out Carnage, it's a new field, with a fully stocked on-site pro-shop and fantastic staff that will ensure player safety and enjoyment.

Excellent quality price ratio. Condition of the fields was excellent and they provide a challenge for all. Staff is amazing and friendly. We were treated like kings and queens. Facilty is well maintained and field paintball is of good quality and cheap. We had a blast, the referee did a fantastic job and made our outing a safe one. The food can be ordered from local restaurants for a reasonable price. I will definitely return to Carnage.
Travel towards Montreal on the 417, exit at Limoges exit, turn right, follw the signs
Myself and a bunch of friends played at Carnage for the first time last year. At the time the field was fairly new although it had great potential. We've played there again this year and I'm pleased to say that it is definately finding it's stride.
Fields: They have a speedball field but since we don't play that I can't really comment on if it is a good one or not. It does appear to be a good size and fairly complete.
We've played primarily at the woodsball field which has a nice mix of open spaces, woods cover and trails. There are small streams on the field which adds to the fun of moving. All in all the woods field is excellent.
They have a bunker field with a two story "castle" in the center which we've just started playing at. While it is still a bit rough and not as complete as other similar fields I've played, the layout and spacing of bunkers is extremely good. I can see playing at that particlaur field alot more in the future. I've been quite happy at the fields we've played and haven't needed to try their other spaces (although maybe in the future :-)
Safety: While most of the group I play with are all longtime paintballers, I was happy to see that they gave a complete helpful safety briefing before we started for the day. As I've just taken my 10 year old out to play I was very happy that the briefing was presented in a matter-of-fact manner and was very complete in nature.
I was also impressed that they've setup netted areas as safe zones, even when we were playing in an area outside of the standard fields. Top marks for safety.
Rental gear: Whle I have my own gear, the few newbies we've had out (including my 10 year old) have had rental gear. The rental markers are 98s, extremely well maintained.
Price: Best prices I've seen playing at a commercial field in the area. Good enough that some of the hard-core outlaw players who are members of our group even want to go there instead of playing outlaw!
Services: Can't really comment on the pro shop since I haven't made use of it but I am very impressed with the way that Charles, the owner, goes out of his way to help people out and perform repairs at the field. Which leads to:
Staff: The nicest bunch of staff I have seen at a commercial field. Helpful, willing to assist if possible and very cheerful (as opposed to some local fields). The refs have been excellent and willing to let us try our own wierd variations on games rather than trying to impose any artifical structure. 10 out of 10 on customer service.
Facilities: It is a new field so they are still working on things but the main building / entrance area is a good size for pre-game. As mentioned they have setup netted areas (including one netted "house) which all appear in very good state of repair. They don't have a restroom on site but at least the porta pottie is clean (and it doesn't even smell!!). They have a propane BBQ which can be used (after arranging for it) so if you want to BBQ some burgers it is a nice setup.
All in all it has been a great couple of times playing at the field and I expect I'll be there many times in the future. If you're in the Ottawa area I would highly recommend it.

Getting there - The field is minutes off the 417E, close to Ottawa and about 5 mins from the new Calypso waterpark. Its also 3-4 mins out of Embun, where there are restaurants and bank machines etc. The location is fantastic.
The Facility - There is a good parking area off the entrance, the first thing you see is the large covered staging area, with customer service counter and picnic tables for getting setup. There are lockers and a clean portable toilet around the corner. To the left is the future site of the Pro Shop which should be completed by June. The site is under development and they have great plans for the future, that said this is already a site that sets the standard in the area. Clean and professional looking. There is a BBQ onsite for customer use which is awesome.
The Fields - They have 7 fields which include speedball, a fort/bunker field and a woods field. Currently they are working on a castle to be completed soon. Last season we played the woods and had a great time, this last day we played the fort/bunkers most of the day and had a ton of fun. The fields will only improve as they develop more of the site.
Saftey - Safety is excellent here. Safe areas/googles on areas are well marked and enforced, as are barrel socks at all times. All players were chronoed quickly and then moved to the staging area where the saftey briefing and proceedures were given. Each time we have played, we have also had great ref's who have made sure rules and saftey are followed.
Staff - The customer service here is second to none. Everyone greets you with a smile and goes out of thier way to help you, this is clearly a place built by paintballers for paintballers, and the pride in the business shows. Qualified techs on site mean that none of our guys were out of action for long with gear troubles. All issues were fixed on site in minutes. Booking our group is super easy and we have never had problem of any sort. Service is offered in French and English.
Environment - This is a really a place where you can feel good about playing and having your teens play (Mine do). Staff are saftey vigilant, and very welcoming and helpfull. The place and staff exist to make the day the best it can be for you.
Rental Equipment - Rental equipment was clean and well maintained, with no issues. Not every field can boast this.
Proshop - The Proshop will be moved to the site soon, however we found that gear could be ordered very quickly and delivered to us at the field on game day, which really cuts done on the running around. Anything can be bought here, what they don't have in stock can usually be ordered in days. Also prices were very good.
Costs - Prices are better than most other places, in a quick comparrison I found paint to be about $10 cheaper per 500rds than most other places...and it is good paint. Walk on fees and rental fees are also very good. This makes it really affordable to do for a day, on your own or with family and friends.
Conclusion - This is the best field I have played at in 7 years of paintball. As they grow and expand thier facilities and services I think they will set the standard for paintball in the area. The proximity to the highway, the town of Embun and the Calypso water park make it a very easy place to get to, use and enjoy.
JEMS: I think they're closed now. Not as friendly or helpful as Carnage, but better fields.
Directions to the Field:
Hard to find. I suggest just calling them.
Carnage Paintball is best described as friendly and helpful. They're always happy to have new players, and support their long-time customers very well.
They have a new field, opened just weeks ago. The speedball field is large, using many plastic barrels as cover. I haven't played on it (speedball isn't my thing), but it looks good. The refs are very well trained, so you'll get a good quality game with expert supervision.
The woodsball field is pretty good. It has some barrels placed in the cleared areas, and is surrounded by trees. There are two bushy areas running through the middle that separate the field into three corridors. That means that there are essentially three games going on, one in each corridor. I like it; it lends itself well to tactical play.
The field is new, so there's a bunch they're going to build, and haven't gotten around to yet. There are no builings to rest in, the trees are most of the shade you'll get at the field. There are no washrooms, just trees. However, they put up a tent and provide chairs and tables, making it fairly comfortable. Drinks can be bought, and are quite cool. They sometimes order pizza for lunch.
Considering how little is on the field so far, they do a great job of running it. I'll give them an "8" for now, since the field is incomplete. Once it's done, it should earn itself a 10.
Ive played at various fields near where i live, but the support and servicing and of course the pricing is alot bether then the other fields.
At Carnage paintball the fields are great, they have one speedball wich is in the woods and they have a setup of ballons that they setup if requested. The safety rules are all the same at any field, but they at carnage they request of every players co-operation to make the sport funner and safer. The pricing at carnage, I find are alot bether then any where else ive been. The price isnt just good on parts but in balls and the price of field play is also good. They offer everything for every grade of player. If you run on HPA they have a state of the art compressor to fill in your needs. The servicing is great and the referees know what there are doing.
