This place has mixed reviews but I like this place alot, more than pbcity.. never tried area51 yet. K lets get down to the basics...
The people working at pbcity are idiots. I can never get a damn game in because whenver i call to reserve or tell them that i want to come, they tell me to call their booking office, its been 2 weeks and i still havent got a damn game in.. they only have 1 friggen fone number anyways...
Its bigger than pbcity, We played a few games where it was like 25 on 25, and it was fun as hell, Where as paintballcity is roaming aorund with little kids who rent and its only like a 10 on 10....
More hardcore people there, a more friendlier environment. Sure the sand sucks but paintball isnt supposed to be totally clean, and its not like you just burry your gun under the sand or anything....
They dont always care about money, the guys there are cool, they givey ou free orings, free fills sometimes, and they let you borrow barrel condoms, whereas in pbcity the stupid guy made me buy one for 10 bucks and i didnt have anymoney...
Overall i feel this place is at a higher level then pbcity, better people, better guns, better competition, more people.... Dont need to always make a reservation, Its a good place check it out
Area 51 (Great, 9 out of 10: See reviews for Area 51)
Sgt. Splatters was my first paintballing experience so naturally I had a blast for the most part. But after going to another field in the area I realized how horribly below par this field is. The field itself is great and than stupid at the same time. A big, well thought-out field with broken down cars and a great setup for attack and defend games, however, very dirty and the floor is covered with SAND, the worst possible sand which sticks to everything is it is coated in paint. Obviously bad for equipment as you can tell from their rental equipment. About 5 out of 10 of the games I played my gun would jam and sometimes be unfixable on the field. The mask they provided me with was scratched to hell and I couldn't see a thing. I ended up buying one it was so bad and they charged my 89.99 for a non-thermal JT goggle mask. I had no idea how overcharged I was getting until I came home and did some research. I could have practically got a JT Proteus for that amount. The customer service was sorely lacking as they would completely ignore you at times and there was no organization in terms of lineup, how to get more paintballs, etc. After going to Area 51 I'll never go to Sgt. Splatters again unless they renovate the place or rehire all their staff and fix the sand problem. Now that I'm getting my own equipment I'm scared to go there and mess it up. I had fun but only because I was a newbie and didn't no better. Definately below average: 4 out of 10.
Area 51, Paintball City, Ultimate Paintball (milton)
- Big field
- Plenty of hiding spots, and Building complex's
- A cool setup, the upper level is a little lamer though
- Amazing Building complex's for very fun Attack and Defend Games
- Nice staff, Not always concerned about money like paintball city
- More hardcore paintballers there, Very nice guns
- Alot of people play there, so theres always plenty of targets
- There was almost 40 People playing when i went!
- They can always take you, reservations are not always needed
- Half price throughout the week! great prices
- Sand gets really muky sometimes espiecally insdie the buildings
- waiting area is a little small...
- the proshop is also very small compared to badlands
- sometimes waiting for games can take very long (not always)
I prefer this place over paintball city any day. The staff is great and the playing field is huge. Theres always alot of people and reservations are not always needed because of the size of the field. THere are nice peopel there with good guns, alot of equipment owners so its alot more challenging then playing at paintball city.
I read the other reviews and they do all have very good points
1) the Field is very dirty but what do you expect sand and paint
2) refs are bad they don't pay attention to the games
3) washrooms are disgusting
4) pro shop is small compared to badlands
5) some of the staff are very rude
6) staging area is clean in the morning dirty at night
7) lighting could be better
8) rental equipment is old masks scratched really bad
Well after all these little problems the point is to play and have fun is it not
If you have a problem with the refs like I have try to talk to the Sarge. he is very helpful, easy to talk to and willing to help
alright, here we go
the field is a good lay out, with 2 stories, but they could clean the place up at least a little bit. the ref doesn't seem to care much about the game, except when I was there he yelled at all the gun owners for getting mad when the newbs whipped. the staging area could be cleaned up at least a little bit, it was kinda gross, I was affraid if I touched anything i'd catch a disease or somethin. the pro shop was pretty good, the price for the ZAP balls are horrible 10 for 100 oh well, we snuck our own in haha but all in all, it wasn't a bad field.
This field is too crowded but has good cover. The lower part of the feild is better than the top. their rental markers are not very good. the walls are always gooey with paintball goo. overall a good field but it could be better. the refs are good and fair. their pro-shop is too small and does not provide stuff for a wide variety of markers. their paint is priced at $15/100 for rental and $10/100 for non-rental. rating:7.5 (can't do halves down below).

I have played paintball for 2 years and this is the most disgraceful field i had ever seen. Sgt Splatter's was my first paintball experience. I had fun but after going to Paintball City and playing there i realized that Sgt Splatter's was the biggest rip off. The floors are covered with sand which is the worst thing to cover a paintball field with because it get's inside the gun and it's just a big mess. The lighting is terrible so most of the time you are getting shot by your own team. The price for paint for a gun owner is extremely overpriced and many a time it doesn't even shoot straight. The pro shop I didn't really care for and the ref's don't pay attention to the game (it's like there off in there own little world).
This is the greatest feild i've ever played paintball on. The reffs are really cool and great to deal with, there's lots and lots of people to play with, the field looks great, and you can play till LATE at night!
The sand does make a bit of a mess, but it is a lot better than gravel and i dont' mind cleaning my gear up. Paintball isn't exactly a clean sport LOL...
The felid is awesome it is big enough it mimics a city or a small town the buildings are very cool, I do have to admit that the feild is awesome but the service is very poor i went in the back to do a velocity check and one of the workers said "let me borrow this (taking my paintball gun)" then started shooting his co worker in the knee and then the other guy hit him with a pistol, i was shoked then he gave back my paint ball gun saying "velocity check done proceed out that door" and gave me free hundred paintballs
-about the only good thing about this indoor field is the size and the friendlyness of the refs
-Well here it goes...The entire place is filthy. I mean, the whole time i was worried i was going to catch something. The ground is sand. This means running is almost not an option, and because there is paint all over the ground, diving is not an option. Also their guns are terrible, i mean BAD. There are no bathrooms in the entire place. The sand kept on destroying and scratching the guns and barrels. The refs were friendly but they did not seem to really care about the game, they didnt even know when it was over or not
