This place has both indoor and outdoor fields, but I have only played the indoor one.
The staff are OK. I've had different experiences of varying degrees here. In the front area when you first walk in everyone seems cool enough. They are helpful and pretty nice. Never have ran into any cocky, smug staffers here. Only one time have I had a ref who was particularly rude. It was my fault, I took my mask off in the dead box not thinking about it, but the dude started cussing me out.. A LOT! Not exactly what I would call professional. Also, sometimes it takes forever for a game to start. We went once and the opposite team took forever inbetween each game. One time our team sat ready and waiting for over 30 minutes!
Each of the 3 fields (each one on a different floor of the building) has a decent cleanup area. The fields are also covered in sand, which makes it a little slick, but is probably better than bare floors. The fields are pretty small, except the basement one (The Maze). This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it is definitely a different experience than outdoors or a place like BFG Paintball. There isn't much space to move around in the top 2 fields, it's basically head on fighting. The bottom level is a little more tactical, especially with the dark tunnel that runs the entire span of one side. Utilizing it is key to winning there.
Overall, this field is just OK. I preferred my experience at BFG to this place, even though the prices are cheaper here. But if you like small, fast-action games, up close and personal, you might like Paintball Dave's.
this is a fun place to play. semi auto is not fun there because it is to small. but the pgp only is great. it is a challenge to anyone who plays there. i am on a team and we use high end guns but sometimes you just want to have some fun and go pgp. the 3 stages makes it stay fresh the whole time your there. you play about 4-5 10 min games in each stage. the ole thin takes 3 hour. it is 30 for all you need to play. i would recommend going there to anyone. it is what got me into paintball and still is fun for me to just take out the pgp and kick some arrrsss
in milwaukee? i don't know, i live in racine. in racine there's futureworld(closed) blackrain paintball, and racine paintball.

i've only been here twice with my friend for his birthdays. the fields are very small except for the basement. i'm not sure about the prices because my friends dad payed for all the stuff, but i heard that they're pricey. the staff is pretty cool and helpful. theyve been nice and friendly except once (they clipped the spring on my old spyder so the max fps it could get was 260 fps, all without telling me while it was in "the office". the top floor is a castle field which is kind of cool but its basically a small room with boxes painted grey. the next floor down if my favorite, its an old western field and has like small buildings and jails you can go into. next floor down is the pro shop. then we reach the basement. this field is bigger than the other two fields combined. some players like this field the best because its so big and because it only has a few lights throughout it. i like this field because its easy to sneak up behind people because its so wide and so dark. i like the tunnel in this area because its completely black and good for sneaking to the other side of the field. i stay in the main part of the room the because its easier to see and there's more bunkers there. so all in all daves has some small fields but theyre pretty fun to play in. wouldnt recommend going here all the time though go to blackrain. prices are lower better staff and i like the field better
Paintball Sam's (outdoor woods) - Bigger fields (too big), not as well run as Dave's
BFG (indoors) - Single large indoor field, nicer than Dave's indoor
Apocalypse (outdoor speedball/woods) - quality play, not as well run and organized as Dave's
Review:
Dave's has an indoor location in Milwaukee, and an outdoor location (SPLAT Camp) in Whitewater. FPO - PMI Premium, $75/case.
SPLAT Camp is small and mid-sized woods fields. On-site amenities at SPLAT Camp are limited, but the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The indoor location is three small fields, each one distinct from the others. The pro shop is connected, so amenities are complete.
Dave's runs the smoothest operation I have ever seen in paintball. Organized, safe without being oppressive, good with beginners and groups, good judges, just good all around. I have played open games, groups and big games there, and it is consistently an enjoyable experience.
The outdoor fields are very nice and varied if you enjoy basic woodsball. Some fields have a bit of construction, but most are virgin. They are smaller than many woodsball fields, but still plenty big to stalk around if you like.
The indoor fields are very small, and suffer a bit in comparison to other larger indoor locations, but are still nice and original. I would not play bigger groups than 5v5 there. Their location, however, is perfect - with Wednesday and Friday night games, it is easy to swing by after work for a few hours of ball.
