Paintball Valley - Great fields, staff. Can be a bit pricey for the recreational player.
Review:
I completely enjoyed my time at Paintball Indiana. I brought my 11 year old brother for his first paintball experience to this field and he had a great time. The staff was friendly and approachable. You could tell they enjoyed what they were doing. They could probably help you fix a lot of problems with a marker or air system.
Safety: The staff stresses barrel covers on at all times before leaving the playing area and entering the staging areas. Players are consistently told to comply with this rule and often players themselves remind each other. All players had to chrono before every single game, which I liked.
Fields: I love the concrete field. It has a wide range of bunker sizes and placement and the X in the center is fun to take. The spool field and castle addition are also very well placed and designed. I definitely liked all the fields, they are spacious and offer great maneuverability for flanking, etc.
Players: Most of the players during my first visit to the place as Paintball Indiana (prev. Gator Pit) were friendly and approachable as well. The two people near us in the staging area were super nice and helped me fix a problem with my shocker's power switch. All kinds of players are there usually. All skill levels as well.
Prices/Rules: The pricing is pretty good, $20 entry with purchase of field paint on Sundays I think. Good paint pricing. BYOP is allowed on Sundays. 10 foot tag rule. I noticed the tag rule get slightly abused at the concrete field twice. The refs were good but could be a little bit more attentive when calling to check players for hits and watching for tag-rule outs. These are important to observe because players can abuse them (wipe/tag rule).
i havnt played on any other fields but am looking for some more to play on

Paintball Indiana is an amazing field to play on. It has a variety of a speedball, airball, woodsball, and a game called castle. The airball field is a great field to play on and has a good setup. the cement field is propably my favorite field becaus it is a speedball field bt with cement pillars. the next field is the spool field which is lik a combo of speedball and woodsball. the next field is the woodsball field and it has a wide variety in it and offers many place to hide and surprise the opposing team. i would definitly recomend paintball indiana. it is open from 1-5 on saturdays and sundays bt registrations starts at 12. it costs $25 for admission. for more details you can go to the paintball indiana website.
I am a noob, as you can see, but I played there today for about 5 hours and we played maybe twenty games.
FIELDS
Airball - Wasn't set up today... :(
Speedball - Their speedball course is made up of concrete pipes. There are some standing up so you can stand behind them, and some are laying down, so you have to duck or even go prone. Very awesome course.
Spool - Their spool field is awesome for big games. It is made of wood, and the wood carvings look like giant spools of thread. It is very large and is great for 10v10 and above.
Castle - The Castle field is my favorite. One team starts inside the castle, one on the ground. The Castle field is combined with the Spool field, so it is huge. The Ground team has to kill everyone inside the Castle. The Castle team tries to hold the place. It is difficult to get close as the ground team, so that is a con. And as the Castle team, the Ground team is shooting at you, so if you peek out to attack, you get shot. I bought a paint grenade and won the game with it.
PROSHOP
Their proshop... Well... they really don't sell anything that you can keep. Inside, they sell food, drinks, paint, grenades, rental gear, and passes to their field. If they sold some paintball gear, that would be sweet!
RENTAL GEAR
Their rental gear is VERY maintained. They clean the guns after each Open and Private session. You can get a Tippmann 98 Custom (Or upgrade to A5 - DO IT!), a mask, 500 rounds, an ammo pack, and a 3000 PSI Compressed Air Tank with free refills all day!
STAFF
Their staff is AWESOME! They are very friendly and patient. I got to talk with one of them about the gun I want for Christmas (Spyder Electra) and they helped me fix my gun when it failed. They are watching for people who are cheating and wiping. They also explain the rules well.
CONCLUSION
With everything that Paintball Indiana has to offer, I give this place a 10/5! Not kidding. If you live in Central Indiana, check this place out. They cater to new players, and veterans of the sport!
Great paintball field. Staff and owner were extremely nice, and set up a grill for us to use. They were also very patient with us, even though most of our group were pretty new to the game. Course was great, a variety of field types with lots of shade. We had thought it would be really warm to play during summer break, but it was just fine. I highly recommend Paintball Indiana.
I went paintballing here for my second time today, and it was great. I had recenley bought a new gun and was taking it out for the first time. I started a match only to realize that my paintball were basically rolling out of the barrel. I took it to Chris and he worked on it for rest of the day. He gave me a tippman a5 to use while he fixed it which is the upgraded gun that cost more than i had payed for my entry fee. He worked on it and got it close to working but it wasnt quite right he just told me to bring it back the next time i came and he would finish it.
Overall the best paintball place i have been to.... i will diffentaley be back to this place...
Chris (the owner) is a very cool guy. He will do anything to make sure you have fun at paintball indiana. He fixed some dumb things I did to my gun. He explained to me about winter blend paint, which I had never heard of since I used to play in California.. The fields are very good, especially for woodsball. Their "speedball" field is made of concrete tubes and also very good. I have never seen the airball field but also heard it is good when they put it up.

Chris and the staff at paintball indiana are a great bunch they will take the time to help any level of player with any question or problem. The three man series is one of the best in the area with a great mix of players of all skill levels.
With the addition of the air ball field it makes for a great place for team practice's although the concreat field is alot of fun to play
I have been playing at the "Gator Pit"...Paintball Indiana since about 1995, I have now played there under at least 3 different owners/operators...I have played every type of paintball (indoor, outdoor, big game, tournament, etc.)...I am now returning to the Gator Pit after a 4 or 5 yr break...now at 30 yrs old I am bringing different groups of friends ranging from experienced older players and new players to business associates that have never even seen it on tv...
Chris and the team at Paintball Indiana have reworked the fields with everyone in mind. Each field is enjoyable and exciting for each level of player...great angles and runs work to equalize players to raw ability and willingness to press; not just gun and hopper speed or who is carrying the most paint. Each "private" game that I have hosted has continued to grow due to the buzz from each attendee. Everyone has been very excited about the fields play and diversity, the staff (very helpful and knowledgeable guys with no "I'm a pro, your not" attitudes), the condition of the equipment (clean and well maintained) and the pricing (very fair entry and paint prices)...I'll quote one of my "music industry" associates that said...."Its the most fun i've had for less than $75 without having to go to the free clinic."....I won't elaborate...
the Open Games held each Sunday are amazing...varied levels of play, different fields with different feels...well organized...these guys are the best...they only focus on 2 things...Safety and Enjoyment...its actually made me want to play full-time again...
