Played during the open play period on Sunday afternoon, had a great time! If you have your own equipment and BYOP you can play all afternoon for 10.00 . 4 fields and if you get alot of people it tends to be crowded. A well run operation. safety is stressed and enforced as it should be.
I thought this field was by far the best in the area. The people who work there are extremely helpfull and really care about making sure everyone has a good time. The fields are really cool, although some of them are built for small amounts of people. In all, they have 5 fields, and each of them is fun to play on. The real good part about this place is that its bring your own paint. You pay a 10 dollar entrance fee if you have your own equiptment, and you get to play for like 4 hours. Thats a deal. If you dont have your own equipt, its still not expensive, and they have decent deals on thier paint. 60 a case. Id just buy some all star paint balls from online which ive found for 47 bucks a case, and id be set. Overall, I think the place kicks some butt, although i have played some cooler fields in illinois and tennessee. I think this place would be sweetest if there were not quite as many people there as when i was there, but still i had a good experience. (BYOP is the only way to go)
The Field just flat out AWESOME. They keep the field in excellent condition. The staff has been the best ive ever been around. They actuly care that you are there, and try to make your experience a memorable one. If there is ever a problem they take care of it if they can and then just move on. If anyone ever has a chance to go i have to say dont pass it up. Best field ive gone to and as long as they stay the way they are i will always go there.
Love the Pit.
Been playing here for quite awhile. As long as the weather cooperates I play at the Gator Pit every weekend.
I've also played a few winter leagues there. So I guess I should say, "as long as it doesn't rain to much I'm there".
The "concrete jungle" is The Sh!t. The "Big" field is cool, 'cause it reminds me of when I got started playing this great game of ours and I don't want to forget that. The "Spool" field was my #1 field 'til they got the "concrete jungle" up and running. So it is now #2, watch out for the valleys. Can't wait for the other fields that are in the works. Let's see if the jungle can hold on to the #1 spot. The Pit is great for all level of players. The crowds are all friendly, as well as the employees. Rod & his crew are tops in Indy. Keep up the good work fellas.
Fields: The Gator pit has a variety of fields for all styles of play including, one large woods field, A medium sized Spool field, and a concrete tube field(speedball type) And two or more fields in the making including a tire field.
Staff: Some of the best people in the sport, always there to help when you need it and great about keeping things safe making sure people follow the rules. Reffing is also some of the best around, there is always someone there for a paintcheck when you need it or the help a newbie with his marker.
Pricing: BYOP and a 10.00 field fee need I say more. It is most affordable field I have ever been to backed up by the best pro shop, Gator Joes.
Conclusion: If you are in the Central Indiana area and havent played the Pit, do so. It is always a good time and has a good turnout of all types of players and styles of play. If your a seasoned vet on a new player there will be something for you at the Gator Pit.
