Wolverine- much better staff (they are honest)& refs are adults - you can see the airball field - family friendly - their tournament players are helpful to "newbies", Blackhawk - good speedball field, Paintball USA - good speedball fields & city course - their tournament players have very foul language & no refs on any course
We are a painball family. I was impressed with the line of fire website (except the "spokes models - that was just silly) and thought it looked like a great place for a family to go. I was very wrong. We arrived and the field prices were different than what was on the web - so that took time to reimburse my credit card. They also charge a different rate if you pay with a credit card. The staff seemed very helpful with lots of suggestions - but with all the suggestions - we needed to buy more stuff. The staff worked on my son's gun and did a very poor job - we have since had to replace several parts that their repair job ruined. These were very expensive parts & it was a brand new gun & these parts should have lasted much longer than they did. The manufacturer said it was caused by the work preformed on the gun by Line of Fire. Their facilities are substandard. They have a port a john that is very badly maintained. In the summer there are swarms of yellowjackets - dangerous if you are allergic. Spectators are not welcome - you can only partially see the city course and many of their "home" players keep their junk piled on the only seats in the place. Their senior tournament team (section 8) are great guys & are quick to give helpful hints to kids and new players. They are also very respectful and do not use foul language. The other team players they have are the opposite. The younger guys have nasty mouths - no matter who is around. They make it very plain that they do not like new players - or players from another field. They are quick to cuss at anyone who gets in their way. They also will not always call out when hit. I even saw one shoot the ref & tell the kid to "shut the *#*! up". The refs are usually children - and the (younger)team players bully them & do not listen to them. This can make for angry & unsafe conditions. The section 8 guys (when they are there) try to assist & keep order - but they are not always there. We have played at this fields several times - at first I thought maybe we caught them on a bad day & needed to try again. But this is an everyday occurrence at Line of Fire. The scenario games look like they would be a lot of fun - but the rest of the bad dose not warrant our making the exception to play. This is just not a honest - family friendly place to play.

The place is very small, pro-shop is well stocked but very small. They have a city field and airball and a small woods field. You have to park along the roadside and they have no rest rooms. The reffs are good but a little to much attitude. The skill level of the players is below average. Skill level of the staff is good Grounds are well kept and clean. Prices are a little on the high side they charge 5 bucks extra if you bring your own paint.
I went to this field one time it was for my bachelor party. The day started with the forms and payment it all went fast so we made it on for the first game, the safety briefing was long but good some of my friends ever played before so it was good for them. I found that all the staff was very helpful, my friend was having timing issues with his cocker and they helped him out at the chorno real fast. the games had a 5 min break and that was good because we had to be at my wedding at five, so we got a lot of play time. T field was great the city with woods next to it was one of the best walk on fields i have ever played. This field was good for the friends that had not played before the refs helped when ever they could and they had a part in adding two more paintballers to the sport they liked it so much they have picked up some a-5s so they can start playing all ready. In all i had a good time and will be back soon I just have to make it up ther

None, I was on vacation and came wanted to play, I saw this field online.

Our family was going on vacation and I wanted to play paintball while we were there. I looked online for feilds around the area and this one was close, and looked decent. Me and my brother were exceited. I was surprised the field was open as many days as it was, the first time we went was Tuesday, and then we went Thursday. Once we went inside we found Toby the owner behind the counter, he was VERY friendly, helpful and nice. For a first time you usually have to fill out some papaers and all this stuff, same here as many fields. The day was a little slow, probably cause it's a Tuesday, I beleive Saturday is their big day. We were originally going to buy the lowest price field paint, but he was out, so we bought the next cheapest, Empire Bullets for $45 a case. This paint is a pretty good paint and I was pleased, they cheack ALL their paint and make sure it's not in bad condition and mark down old paint. They give all the players every visit a safety briefing, though a little long, thorough, you will understand the rules and probably won't feel intimidated like you mght at a field where they weren't clear. there were a total of 7 players there we played Airball, City, and small woods. City is definately my favorite. There are about 14 buildings made of wood, 3 2 story and they feature windows, doors, bars, a turret, some even have rooms. The Airball course was kinda deflated, but when we went back Thursday they aired it up nice for us. I loved the setup on the Airball course. Other than small woods, City and Airball, there is a big woods field, which we played twice on Thursday, it was pretty big, with quite a bit of wood and thicket, even a few wooden bukers, and a temple and more, perfect if you're wearing all camo. It has netting near the road (though i probably rarely traveled on and I could barely see it) and there is a LOT of bushes and brush up there. Very exciting and thrilling. the day we played on Tuesdayme and my brother got free PB2X magazines they had recently gotten, yeah, free, regular play day.
Overall I enjoyed this field very much, and am going AGAIN even though it's a 3 hour drive away. This field has a theme day or tounament monthly, check out the site and pics. The Retail Store was pretty well stocked and kinda small (aren't all?) but the owner, refs, and staff were all friendly, they have a couple markers laying out and don't mind if you pick them up, they can even pull something out for you to look at. They had LOTS of rental packages, Tippmanns and Spyders so if you wanna take a group there it's perfect. I give this field a 9 out of 10 only because a 10 out of 10 field would be one that gave you free paint and markers :P

I know that Wolverine is in Hendersonville but I have only played at Line Of Fire.
This is a great field for people new to paintball. When I first went there it was just me and one of my friends. Toby, the owner, started talking to us right when we entered the room to get our paint and our air. He gave me some great tips and helped me get ready for my first time. They are very thourogh on explaining the rules and safty precautions. The refs are always helping out and giving you tips if they see something that could improve your game. The fields are great. They have city ball, airball, and large and small woods fields. The city ball field is awsome with three 2 story houses and a bunch more that are 1 story. The woods ball fields are cool and have alot of bunkers. The airball field is good except it needs more bunkers. There is alot of different players that are at different skill levels that come reguarley. Also the refs make sure that the teams are even before it begins so that no team has an unfair advantage. The prices are resonably fair except i think that the walkon could be a little lower. I think this is a great field and that it is one of the best in western North Carolina.
I was very unhappy with my visit at Line of Fire. The ref's are very rude and very cocky. The indoor shop is extremely small and should be checked out by a fire marshall because if there were alot of people in there and there was a fire someone could really get hurt, especially seeing that there are CO2 tanks right in the next room. They had a port-o-john for a bath room and no sinks to wash your hands. Also you had to wait way to long in between games. The ref's would choose the field for you to play on. They did not care what the paying customer wanted. Field fee and paint is way to high. You can go to just about any online store and get it cheaper or even ebay. Over all my visit was just really really bad. I'm not ever going again.
GREAT FELDS!!!! ive been playing their for about 3 years and ive loved every minute of it. It was wear i got my first electronic gun! ( Angel LCD ) Plus they fix you gun for free if you buy it there! The theme days are great ( my favorite is halo 2, and montie python ). Every summer some pros come and do a camp, ( Rocky ( from nughty doggs ) Bee Young, and some other gun whos rly tall ). Their are a very wide virety of players there, great for all ages...
The pro shop is a lil show because its small and their is a TUN of people there... Get theri early then you wont have to wate.
LOF was a nice field and has a good setup on the inside the airball is nice but needs more bunkers and need a lil bit more space between them! The city course is awesome and fun to play! I havnt realy played the woods courses out there so i dont know if i can realy comment on them! The only thing that is bad about LOF is that you have to wait in line for like at least 1 hour on theme days and i dont know if it is like that on regular days because i have only been there on their theme days! But the people out there seem nice and eager to help you with whatever that you need hlp with! But i cant wait for the up coming 3man it looks to be alot of fun and i hope that there is a large turn out at it! I also think that their FPS is way to low because i mean you kind of have to launch balls over bunkers plus you get a whole lot more bounces where as you almost get none at 280!! But other than that the field is nice!
OK i loved there feilds alot and the owner was kool but i only visited N.C once and the day i went there it was cold so that took some of the fun out of it..(i dont like playing in the cold but o well).. The pros were ...... at the end of the day we could win stuff and my friend mikey won 1000 paintballs a benie and something else.... I met a guy up there that was really cool... I think her was the owners dad that was using a 98 custom with warp feed.. he was kool too. Cons ... It was cold ... the pro shop was slow... we wernt aloud to bunker
