What a great experience. The one thing you'll notice and the one thing they'll tell you here is that Splatmandu is a CLUB, not a business. It's like playing backyard paintball with some great fields. I didn't see anyone wiping, everyone was playing honorably and if your not there on one of their scenario Sundays (first Sunday of every month I believe) you pretty much get to pick what field you play on, how you play and with whom you play. Bring your buddies and play 3 on 3 or a game of Jaugernaut (a game we made up where one person was running full auto and as much paint as he wanted while the other 3 had only one shot at a time, 3 on 1) or join up with a group of guys and run a bigger game. It's all up to you. We really appreciated this field and had a great time and you can't beat the price! Highly recommended if you're looking for a field where you can be a little more creative.
The feilds were really awesome everyone that was playing there when i was, really love the city that they have had built and the was a real cool feild. But the Hornet nest was another great field because its a real good field if u like to play a close corders game. So far i have not had a problem at the feild. Becuase all of the employees were real friendly.
This field is not like others that i have played at here they are very helpful and they are not all that extreme for newbies to play at they are very affordable and they are strict on safety in the neutral zone but there fields offer a good learning experience for scenario play.
There Web Site has all the info that you would need.
I have been playing at splat for the last 2 years and this will be my third year there and i cant wait. Ted and Kathy make that place the best. The people that play there are the best. i have been talking to quite a few of them on the off time and they have offered me the best help ever. But back to the Field. this place has the best games ever. not to mention that they let you bring your own paint, Co2 is cheap as well as the Air, AND its $2.00 a YEAR. that is the LOWEST field fee that i know of from any state or field. Plus they have activities to raise money for the local assault shelter through out the year. They may not be the BIG corporations that do Paint ball on fields but they are the BEST EVER.
This was my first year playing paintball. And thanks to the people of Splatmandu, it will be the first of many. Never have I felt more welcome around total strangers. There is always people greeting you as you enter. They will bend over backwards to make sure you have an awsome experiance. Weather it's by technical advice, playing tips, or them giving you there own equipment so you can play. From the moment you step foot onto Splatmandu you are taught safety, safety, safety. The playing fields are great, with many different games to choose from. Where else could you go for the price and get this experiance. Just $2 for a membership, some canned food. And Splatmandu helping out the community by donations. It is truly second to none. Thank you Splat!!
I started at Splatmandu. the field and people are great. the people (Ted, Cathy, Groundhogs)put so much time and effort into their field to make sure everyone has a great time. they have pretty much anything there you could need - supplies, air/co2, paint, ect. also there are always several willing people there to help you if you have gun problems. many people are more than willing to share their expertize with you- all ya have to do is ask. there are different types of paintball play there as well. woodsball, speedball, city scenario, ect. and can you beat a $2 per year membership fee?!?!?! Ted and Cathy arent making money off this like ALL other field owners. they donate their time and property and bathroom =-) for the spring, summer and fall. not alot of people out there a willing to do what they do, and i am happy to make the 2 hour trip there. once again- the du is by far the best place i have been to and i hope they keep up the great work.
I have been to several other fields, but none that even compare to Splatmandu
I have been devotedly coming to Splatmandu Paintball Club for over 4 years now. Ever since I set foot onto the field, I have been embraced as a part of the Splatmandu family. The level of kindness that is shared between club members is unlike anything I have ever experienced. Everyone that comes to Splatmandu regardless of skill level is treated fairly, and if there is ever ANYTHING you need, there will be at least five people stepping up to help you. Through my experiences at Splatmandu I have learned many things about the game of Paintball and why this place is so unique. The level of enthusiasm and work that goes into making sure all players have a great game is unmatched. I have personally seen Ted and Kathy hand over their own guns so that new players could get a game in. On what Commercial Field have you ever seen such hospitality? This place has it all, no matter what your style of play is. I have never seen a field successfully accommodate Tournament play and Woodsball quite like Splatmandu. There is nothing quite like the excited chatter of the groups coming off the fields and hearing over and over that they have had one of the best days of their lives. I canít thank this place enough for all the blood, sweat, and tears that everyone puts forth on a weekly basis to bring joy to so many people who just want a place to play. I also thank every member of Splatmandu for the friendships and all the great memories that we have shared so far. If you havenít experienced Splatmandu Paintball Club, I strongly urge you to. I guarantee you will not regret it.
i have played at 68 calibur and a lot of back yard ball and it does not come pare with the du
I do not have the vocabulary to do this field the justtis that it deserves. So i will tell a sort story. Hehe once apon a time long long ago my cuzens use to oun this place and i had never been out to see it. Then my good friend loverboy told me about this asome place to play paintball at. Him knowing all my stuff got stolen a long time ago. So i go out there to check things out. Wow was i blown away at the fields and more so the people's that made it what it was. So i went back out and got my gear that i needed to play again. That i did and found some thing funny out. I was haveing more fun than i have ever had before playing the game AND lernning more how to play the game than i ever knew. That goes for sportmanship to how to put a cross fire down. After going out to the DU for the last 3 years I have found out that my family still lives there cuze that what you feel like as soon as you go in the drive.
Splatmandu may be the only place that I have play paintball, but I doubt you would find the honesty and respect any where else. The motto is "Play with honor, and honor is what you have when no one is looking." You have people that go there for just the scenario games (First Sunday of each month up to the end of october), you have people who are regulars, but people that come to play at Splatmandu for the first time, you see them again and again. I've heard people talk about how expensive other paintball places are, but you know what....Splatmandu is not just a paintball place, it's a club and it only costs $2. Yes you saw that right $2. They are there not to make money like other places, they are there for people to have a safe place to play.
People of all ages play there. The owners are some of the nicest people you can meet. I have only been playing paintball for about 3 months, and it already feels like I've been playing for years. Any donations that they get are for a Women's Battered Shelter in Three Rivers, MI. Anyone that says anything bad about Splatmandu doesnt know what honor is and doesnt know what respect is, because that is Splatmandu.

I never write anything on the forums, I do read them a lot but i don't care to do it for others. but i feel like i have to say something to reply to tex06puma post. you must have confused the du with some other place, i fell in love with paintball on those fields, and have learned more then just paintball, things like honor and sacrifice for greater good. i don't find that too often in life, right along on a paintball field. if you thinking about coming out for the first time, i promise, you won't find a better place to learn the game ! ..
