Navarre Paintball Field... toally sucks... i think they're tearing it down...
Directions
to the Field:
Soundside across from Hurlburt Field... really close to the FAMCAMP (Family Campgrounds). Take the same street you would for FAMCAMP and make a left instead of a right. Then there's the field.
Review: Its okay with safety.
It has four fields, all outdoor, two speedball fields, one small woods, and one big woods.
The big woods are fun to play if you got enough people.
On Saturday its open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
On Sunday its open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The prices are decent.
The staff is friendly, they'll show you how to use your gun, or how to fix it.

Review: If there would be one word to describe Hurlburt Paintball it would be " Staff "
Not only was there staff helpful with repairing my gun but they were also helpful in getting the games started. We played a variety of games such as Capture the Flag, President, Attack and Defend, and even Hour long game.

Here are my ratings on the fields
Speedball - 7 " Different than your average speedball "
Small Woods - 9
Big Woods - 8 " Sweet Fort "

Review: Its ok the only thing is off the break u run up a mountain to get to a bunker and its all sand so when u slide u end up 10 feet away from where u were supposed to be and get lit up like a christmas tree. Woods.. not my kinda thing.
But when u go there watch out for the kids in proto/dye gear. They are crazy hardcore, i asked the kid with the invision if i could kiss his hand and he slapped me in the face and made me call him masta. These guys are crazy there gonna be pro one day i wish i was as good as them. They are Joseph, Trent but the crazy hardcore guy i have to call masta is Geno he freaking owns all hes definately going pro.

Review: This field is a pretty decent field, except you have to run up a mountain to get to a bunker on the sides...The people you should watch out for are trent, hes the one with a jt, joseph with the bko, and edd but only because he was a mile long barrel and if he had a normal size barrel hed miss every shot lol...Also look out for anthony hes awesome with his angel.

Review: well first of all id like to start off saying that after playing here for 4yrs or so i cant imagine playing anywhere else. although the speed ball course is sand and off the break u have to run up a slight slope to reach the first bunkers, but i hav seen complete noobs change into more experienced players that completely dominate the field.

the crew
the crew at the field are the best i hav ever seen..... not only r they nice and will help u out wit every problem that they possibly can but they r composed of players that also go to the field regularly and kno wut they r doin. ther r several key players that go to the field to ref but when they play they dominate the other team no problem.they consist of geno hill, joseph frank, ed schaller(when he goes), and SUMTIMES trent c........

but ya in conclusion this field is a great place for beginners and noobs alike and u should deffinitly take the time to visit it.

Review: I highly recommend this field to anyone considering playing here. It has a great bunch of staff members. Prices are fair. The paintball community in general is really helpful and nice. Refs call the shots when they see it and if they dont, dont sit there and yell for him to get out just shoot the player again. Woodsball is great, only drawback about that is team mate verification, its hard to tell if someone is on your team or not because they use armbands ( and when you are about to shoot someone you dont ask them to show you their arm first). The whole barrel plug situation i think is simple to solve. Everyone who plays paintball has a responsibility to tell someone who doesnt have a marker plug in to plug it. Chances are they forgot when they walked into the staging area to plug it. I've done it before on accident, just played a really great speedball game and catching a breather while walking to the staging area when i realize i didnt plug my marker. Also the wiping situation, thats a universal problem at all fields. The only thing you can ask for is players to play honorably and call THEMSELVES out when they are marked, lets not blame the refs. Bottom line is that coming into paintball you have to treat it like what it is.......a sport. Never disrespect the noobies because this game isnt about putting other people down its about having fun and it isnt fun for noobies if they get made fun of. Plus if you poke fun at noobies ill 1v1 you and bunker you.

Review: This field is awesome just to put it simply. The speedball (airball) is terrific and it has a giant "x" in the middle. There are many tournaments that take place at this field. the woodsball is big and doesnt have games that last 1-2 hours {thank god :)} there are only two fields here though a woodsball and speedball. the field also has a store and friendly staff. I am a speedball player and i have a 3 man team and this is the field i will be going to forever.

overall

friendly staff
nice prices
has organized tournaments
airball
field is for noobs and experienced players of all ages

Review: If you dont want to read the full review, I have a quick conclusion at the bottom.

This is a field for rec players or new players. For those who like to play Sup air, Speedball, etc. this really isnt the field for you. for those who enjoy playing woods games, you will love this field. This field is ran by a man named Bill. He takes care of your entrance fees, snacks, air fills, etc. Also, this field is reffed by a multitude of friendly volunteers, who love to help whenever possible. Though they may not be perfect refs, some just need to speak up, and enforce the rules as much as possible, which is not always done. Many problems with the markers can be fixed, but due to the limited supply of materials, personal markers can not always be done. They are very friendly though, so dont be afraid to approach them if you need help. The prices are fair. The entrance fee for someone who wishes to use a rental (Tippman 98 custom) is 12 bucks. This includes an initial 100 paintballs (field grade) and a full CO2 canister. For one with his/her own equipment, the fee is 8 bucks. This still includes 100 field grade paintballs and a CO2 fill, and one more free fill. After that prices vary for your fills depending on the size of your tank. Unfortunately, HPA is not available. Bill says that they are trying to acquire it though, so hopefully it will be available soon. The field has two grades of paint. The field paint (cheaper) and premium paint (more expensive). They use Draxxus blaze as field paint and Draxxus Infernos as the premium grade. Snacks and drinks are also available, canned sodas and candy cost 50 cents and Gatorade is 1 dollar <<<(yes, my dollar sign button is broken). The course consists of 3/4 fields. First of all, there are two hyperpipe (speedball) courses. They are the first two that you will notice. There is a short one and a long one, that players can also use both to play big games on (thats why I said 3/4). They are in the dirt and it is basically a big trench. It isnt bad though. It consists of barrels, pipes, and wooden bunkers. I tend to play on the hyperpipe courses. Secondly, they have the small woods field. This is basically like the speed ball set in a woods environment. Recently a few more bunkers were added to it to make it more interesting. For bunkers and cover, it consists of brush, trees, pipes, and barrels. This is a fun field for those who like to play speedy woods games, but even small woods games can last quite a bit. Finally there is the big woods field. This field is pretty big. It consists of a fort (which is just an area in the woods that is fenced off) that has a truck and a tent to take cover in. It also has a van on the edge of the woods, that boarders the small woods field. Players like to use this field for games like capture the flag, president, attack and defend, etc. This is a favorite among most that play at this field. Due to Hurricane Ivan, The Big Woods field is shut down right now. Work is being done to restore the field, but honestly, even I am getting tired of waiting. Many things halt progress, such as recently, the poles were all slanted inward (towards the field) and those had to be straightened. They also need to set the net back up that boarders the highway. I dont know anything else that they are doing. This is my conclusion.......

The Good:
Friendly Staff, The small woods, The big woods (temporarily closed), fair prices

The Bad:
Hyperpipe (speedball) courses, no HPA

If you like Sup Airball, Speedball, etc. You most likely wont like Hurlburt field
If you prefer woods ball this is the place for you

Review: Fun to play on, Speedball field could be alot better its just a ditch of sand with some bunkers. It isnt really the best but its still fun to play on. Speedball really needs to be worked on for a better experience.

The woods are real good compared to everybody elses, besides tyndal's. Pretty fun recreational play. The big woods could be better by adding a better fort or something and set it up for a better attack and defend.

The small woods is good to play on but is a little small, not that much room with a lot of people but good for 2 on 2 or 4 on 4.

The staff is good and real helpful, real fun to play on.

the small woods is pretty cool, but the big woods rocks. I hope the new manager starts to rebuild it soon. The speedball is okay, but if u want speedball I'd try niceville (I heard that they have good speedball) If you like woods in any way, i would go here as fast as you possibly can.
