Review: Went to Hornet's Nest this weekend. Had visited the field last fall and saw the setup, one 5 man airball field, a very large wooden bunker speedball field, and some woods fields.

This year they had up the 5 man and the wooden bunker field, but a regulation X-ball field was in the process of going up, and the indoor facility has the roof and some of the walls set up. Overall, a great looking place to play, especially once the X-ball and indoor are completed.

Prices were $60/case of big ball or severe, $10 all day air, $10 admission and $1 for a "membership". Fills up to 4500 at do-it-yourself fill station which were really nice. Paint choices also included some more expensive options, but I don't remember what they were. Not completely sure what the "membership" entailed, but there was something mentioned about being able to play all week for the one admission fee.

The fields were nice, although I'm not really a woodsball player anymore. The large speedball field was just too big for 5v5, but would be fun with maybe 12v12 or so. The airball was excellent. Most of our games were on the airball field. We got about 15 games in during the course of the day, and the reffing was better than most places.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Lunch could be ordered (sandwiches from local shop) and hotdogs soda and other goodies were available. Also on site was a pro-shop. Although I didn't inquire about the prices, the availabilty of items in the shop looked to be pretty diverse.

The Hornet's Nest sponsored team was playing while we were there, and joined in for a bunch of games. Overall nice guys and great to play with.

In total, I had a great time. Will be going back again when I can. The quality of service was equal to that of the Splat Factory, the prices were very reasonable, and it looks to be a good place to play. 9/10 until I get to go back and see the X-ball up and the indoor finished.

Review: A great place to bring the kids for the day. They have a great staff, always there to help.
The fields are well kept at all times. They have great prices on paint and gear. If they don't have something you need they get it for you right away. Great service and gun repair. coming soon there will be indoor paintball so we can play all year around.

Review: Hornet's Nest Paintball is the perfect combination of professionalism and fun. Airball, hill assault, bunkers and they tell me sometime in March 2004 a brand new 70' X 140' indoor arena will be going up. Scenario games are particularly imaginative and well-planned.
Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is fun and friendly without sacrificing safety and professionalism. Would appeal to all levels of player. All in all a great time for everybody and not too expensive. Gun repair if needed is available and also very reasonable. Great place to bring the kids. I love this field!!!!

Review: Played Hornetsnest for the first time Sunday 2/15. On arrival it was 12 degrees with a stiff breeze. Regardless the owner opened and was very friendly. We were the only people playing. Due to the cold and snow cover we limited our play to the close quarter bunker field and the hill castle capture. It was great. The staff was very pleasant and helpful despite the extreme conditions. Due to the cold conditions the owner substituted a cold weather paint for the lesser expensive field paint so we would have a better experience. Without this, the cold would have been terrible on the balls. The paint is reasonably priced $60/case for Big Ball and $70 for Evil. Lunch was available. They have a small store in the back of a tractor trailer that is surprisingly well stocked with essential equipment for ones needs on a day out. I can't say enough about the friendly and helpful attitude of the staff. They truly enjoy the sport and convey that to the customers. We will be certain to return in better weather to try the other fields Hornetsnest has too offer.

Review: Hornetsnest paintball field
Hornetsnest is one of the best fields to play rec ball and speed ball. They rec ball games are awesome with the castles and They just started to put up a in-door field and that is going to be just as awesome as their rec ball fields. Also the field owner Bob Matthews is a great guy to deal with he gives very fair prices to all paintball players and is a stand up guy to buy paintball gear from. Overall this is a great field to play on with great refs and the prices are great too I would recommand playing here to any level of paintball player.

Review: I have played at quite a few paintball fields and have never played at one that is as organized and as clean and as safe as this field. Every time I go to play there the fields are absolutely spotless as are the bunkers. To top that off the owner Bob does everything and anything he can to help you out, if you ever need anything all you have to do is call him and whatever you need will be there when you need it.....no matter what. He always goes above and beyond.

Now Bob is building an INDOOR field that will be finished in the near future. It is sure to be built to the best of standards and possibly to the state of the art.

This field, the owner, and the store are one of the best by far in our area. This is the only field I have the desire to play at when given a choice.

Review: what can u say bad about this field. i cant find a fault at all.... clean, safe, fun, and greast competition. i learned a lot at this field and would go back millions of times if i could... prob one of the best fields in the area

team hvx practices here, and they are pretty sick and so does the home field team, both are pretty good. HVX has santos as a captain as he has ALL of the connections needed 2 play paintball, 2 get into it, and 2 make it ur job.

Review: Hornetsnest is a great place to be. With very nice & large fields (with an indoor arena coming soon), relatively cheap prices and a well informed friendly staff, it makes for a great time. There are 4 fields (soon to be 6 if I remember correctly) a speed ball field, bunker field, "castle siege" and a woods field... with an indoor arena and x ball field coming.

I recommend hornetsnest to anybody looking for a fun time, because I know for a fact that I'm going back.
