Review: Hornets Nest Paintball is my favorite field by far. The prices are awesome and the staff is great. They have a wide range of fields and the speed ball course is probably the best in the state. They also have a full pro shop where you can get all of your paintball needs. Hornets Nest is like my second home and it should be the same for you.

Review: There is not enough positive comments I can make about Hornets Nest. These guys are great! I participated in the recent fundraiser held by Hornets Nest to benefit the families of 2 NY State Troopers: one who was murdered and another who was critically wounded. These guys are a class act all the way! I will definitely be back.

Now its not only their fund-raising efforts that I admire. The have 2 fields: an 3-Man indoor and a 5-Man outdoor. Both fields are well maintained and easy to adapt to. They also have woodsball and scenario facilities but I did not get to try them firsthand. They provided a 2 spacious chrono stations and 3 compressed air fill stations. They are one of the few places I've played in our area that actually have a 4500 air fill!

Everything is conveniently located in close proximity to each other. No long walks to fill your tank, buy a soda, or chrono your gun. There were plenty of tables and space for players to lay out their gear.

Prices are very fair and competitive with other fields in the Capital Region. The basic rental gun is a SP Ion which is nice because it gives the casual player a fighting chance when playing against seasoned players with thousand dollar guns.

The most important factor with any field are the people who run it and Hornets Nest shines in this area. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The refs were very enthusiastic and fair. The Hornets Nest team was very professional and fun to play with/against. They displayed a tremendous amount of sportsmanship and lacked any arrogance one might see from a team when playing on their home field.

Keep up the good work, guys and hope to be back really soon!!!

Review: I went to the "Nest" for the first time Saturday. I have to say that I was very impressed. When you first pull up to the Indoor Speedball Field / Pro-Shop, you noticed the large amount of woods around the field, the outdoor speedball field, and the Large metal structure holding the previous mentioned Indoor Speedball / Pro-Shop.
The owner is there to meet you when you enter into the Pro-Shop and he is a great guy!! He is very friendly and was very concerned that all day we were having a good time. The Pro-Shop has everything you would need for the day if something broke or if you feel like spending some hard earned money on some new paintball equipment. I was also impressed that they rent IONS!! Also there are 3 HP fill stations 3000 psi and two 4500 psi.
I walked the indoor field which would be a great 3 man maybe 5 man field (might be tight with 5), it was set up nice and looked to be kept in good condition. I played the outdoor speedball field all day. The field was set up very good and was set up for fast action and good gun fights. I had a great time playing against the fields team and it was a great time plus the home team guys were really cool. The reffing was top notch. They were all over the field and were making good calls. One of the best things I saw was that if you were called out or called yourself out th e refs would always walk you off and protect you from incoming fire.
All in all this is a great field with a great staff.

Review: 1. Facility- This shop is a good place for all your basic necessity's for paint balling all day. Paint-good grade, food, goggles, guns, barrels and accessories, rentals and all your other items for the day like C02 and air. Their indoor i've personally never played in it but I walked it and was impressed. They have a sup-air indoor field that looks to be a 3 man field that is perfect speed ball which they sometimes have the big X in the middle with some Doritos and other bunkers. In the indoor unlike other places I have been they have an amazing area to store all your equipment for the day. Picnic bench's maybe if the conditions outside arn't too good and a tent and benchs outside for a bright sunny day. In the inside they have a cool chrono also. One more thing that basically I keep on going here for is the great employees they have and the quality of the ownership on the place. The owner of this place is always inside willling to help out whenever you have a problem or need assitance. I had a problem with my air tank and the owner I talked to and let me get a tank for the day even though he said they didn't rent tanks. I personally don't know any other paintball places that the owner is willing to help you out and is working as hard as the employees to seek everyone has a great time at his place.
2. Saftey- THIS IS THE BEST PART OF HORNETS NEST. The saftey netting is always in place for spectators who wana watch not be in fear of being hit by a paintball. The barrel condom rule and goggle rule is a major saftey concern about this place. They ake sure you know to have them on at all times until it is time to test fire with masks on. Chrono is also enforced in the tournys every round to ensure no ones shooting over, I was deeply impressed. Also another thing that makes Hornets Nest the best paintball area in the world is the referees there. Unlike other places that I have been too referees have never been better. If your hit they are toughly to put themselves in danger of being hit to make sure you safely make it to the deadbox without being harmed. I was on the castle course and was out and I was walking away not caring if i got hit or whatnot but he stood right near me and told me we gotta look out for you guys.
3. Having a good time- this is one of the only places I know where if you go up here you will have a good time. It may be a little out of the way but i'll drive and hour and a half for these people. After almost every game the opposite team is right there to congratulate you or say good game. If you did something wrong they tell you and make you a better player in the game of speedball. The courses are also set up so it is a good time. Everytime ive been there they had a differant set up and they all were great with very long thought into every bunker position and angles. Also I believe every Saturday you can go up there and go over drills with the Hornets Nest paintball factory team.

All and all I would highly recomend this place. A ten rating is low for this place if i could I would give it a 100. Its a fun day and good prices, good bunkers and good woodsball.

Thank you Bob and Brother for all you have done.

Review: This is a great field. The owner is very personable and really wants you to have a good time. Prices are reasonable with special events for all types of players. Referees are all ove the place running and moving checking and calling a very fair game. Hornets nest offers several fields: 7man Speedball, 5man indoor speedball, Castles, and Woods. verything for everybody. Huge proshop with well stocked new items. 3 self fill stations 3000, 4500 and 4500 plus co2. It is worth the ride I will definitely go back.

Review: Hornets nest was a fantastic place for the guys. They had a super time. I took my son and 6 friends but I think I had most of the fun. We really would highly recommend this place over any of the other places visited.

It took us over 2 hours to drive there but it was woth the 4+ hours played on the fields.

The refs were very very fair and they were great guys. They really were careful and very helpful on the the fields as well as off of the fields.

Review: The Hornet Nest's greatest strength is the many fields it has.
Their speedball courses are great and well thought. It's great to watch the speedballers pound away at it. There woodsball fields are fun and extremely creative. The Trenchs are Challening an siege and interesting. The castle is without a doubt a classic. B-town is a favorite, can't go wrong with urban warfare. those are just a few of the fields.
Food's great. Lots of drinks. The employees are great and helpful. Their pro shop is the best I've ever seen. The events are always top-notch and something to look forward to. I always have a blast when i go to the nest. After going to the nest i have never went to another place. The Hornet Nest is the best place i have ever been too for paintball.

Review: I have been to a couple places before but i dont think im ever going to go back after coming to this place. Hornets Nest is very much a top notch field. Im more of a speedball guy but i have played on their woodsball field and they are easily the best I'v seen the castle, B-town, and the convoy are really creative and fun to play, and thats coming from a speedball guy. The speedball field is always changing so it keeps things fresh. the store is awesome they have all kinds of good stuff in there Bob and Brother (owners) are some of the coolest guys ever, the refs are always good they stay on top of the game and keep saftey a number 1 priority. theres really ntohin i can complain about with this field i highly recomend it to both new players and experienced players.

Review: The staff at Hornets Nest is great. They are concerned with making sure everyone has a great time and we always do. The fields are fun and inventive, and everytime I visit there is always something new or upgraded. They dont charge an arm and a leg and are always willing to supply you with needed accessories free of charge. I highly reccomend this field. Thanks Bob!
