Paintball Outfitters (Lethbridge) My Main feild
Coulee runners paintball (Lethbridge)
Directions to the Field:
In Edmonton and i was on a bachelor party
The field owner was down to earth and the guys he had working with him were polite and fun to have guiding us. The reason i liked it was that they had a lot of trees and not too many bushes. Personally i find bushes to make for a lame course. No hits and alot of spray. Quest had mostly trees and alot which are big enough to find cover.
Along with those tree courses they had added other bunkers like a vehicles and bunches of branches. Nice.
We played a town course which everyone really enjoyed, fun for first timers to advanced 'er noobs to 1337 ballers . Quest had a bunch other courses but we were content with the ones we played. The ground was nice too, cause it was all pretty much like beach sand.
Aside from the field he had compressed air instead of CO2 for the markers (tippmans)
Good for guys who bring their own guns that run on compressed air, plus the guys who rent don't have the inconsistency of CO2 pressure and on a cold day don't have the snow shooting out the marker.
I liked it alot and he had a deadly(awesome) homemade fill station. So easy to use that if set to 3000, anyone could use it with out supervision. Had a quik coupler like every fill station, on the ende of an air hose connected to a steel electrical Junction Box (just a rugged steel box) To activate you just push a joystick off to any direction and it fill your tank. Let go and it rights itself plus releases pressure from hose. All good.
They could have monitored us a bit more though. Reason was i think they had a lot of groups that day
For starters, the guy who got this organized and booked for us to spend a day at QFA deserves a big THANK YOU!
Now on with the review, with our group of 14 people for a private party and prices quoted as to what costs would be for renters and marker owners a month and a half prior to game day,as we drove into quest, the place looked like something from way out in the sticks.
As the group got their gear together,8 of us including the organizer had our own markers,6 others had to rent.
First off,the prices that were quoted to the group 1 1/2 months before game day at booking time had changed.
Marker owners were qouted a $15 field fee and $100 for a case of paint, they ended up paying the same $40 fee as the renters did and 7 marker owners decided to share a half case with each other except for 1 marker owner who paid for a full case plus the $ 40 fee.
The entire group was a bit upset at the price change and you could see the emotions on their faces.
The hoppers were filled and it was time to get trigger happy.
As the first game was about to begin in some bush like scenery which didn't have much cover to hide in,the ref, some army dude stayed with the group til the game was done, game 2 started at the same location with the ref in hand.
As everybody went back to refill with ammo, the ref explained to the group about the town and what games to play, the group headed off for the town and waited for the ref to show up,ref wasn't comin so 2 guys went back to see what was goin on,they came back saying the ref told them to go ahead and play without a ref,we all looked at each like wtf,we went on and played the town many times which was very good, its the best town we've seen yet!
We stopped for lunch, although it was a bit drizzly throuhout the morning, somehow some of the guys got the fire goin to cook some lunch.
After lunch we were told to go ahead and play what ever we wanted,we were only limited to 3 fields as the others were claimed to be flooded out.
We played the town several more times and played gettysburg a few times which was an ok field.
After being tired out, most ofthe group decided to call it quits, packed our stuff up and paid our fees with most of the marker owners complaining about the price change and the organizer was overheard stating the we markers owners were quoted X dollars and the ref saying everbody pays the same price no matter what!
To date, nothing has been done to rectify the problem with the price change, the staff that day totally sucked.
The town gets a 10 out of 10.
More can be done with this place to make it look alot better as you first come in and the surroundings at the staging areas could look alot nicer too ,looks more like a garbage dump.
Again, thanks to the organizer of our group for the outing, but it doesn't look like we'll be coming back to this place again!

ESG, PAG, Jazz. They compare quite well, but in a different way than most.
The rentals are very good guns (tippmann 98 last time I checked). The field itself is quite a ways out from everywhere. But the different fields are AMAZING! I thought it was a good place to go. The staff there is very friendly, I went for a B-day and they gave us 200 extra rnds each. I thought that was quite a good deal.
Me and my friend made a speedball course in his field that wasn't the greatest but now its decent
Quest is awesome. There are so many fields and with such variety! The town is the best with Rollong Pines a close second. They have airball there and teams usually practice on sundays. They are expanding their speedball field from one to 3 so it should be good. THINK QUEST WHEN THINIING ABOUT PAINTBALLING.

Let's just say, even for a newbie who didn't know anything, I knew enough to know that they weren't doing some things right.
Our ref ditched us after one or two games - he must have figured we weren't worth his time or something, because when we went back to the staging area, he was just standing there having a chat with his buddies.
I went through at least 4 12 oz (or close to that size) co2 tanks, and each time I would get about half a hopper of shots before it went empty (the characteristic farting noise). The paint cost an arm and a leg, but at least it SEEMED fresh.
The rental markers were in decent condition from what I could see. The person working in the shop at the time seemed to be servicing every marker that came back in to him.
No running water at this field, but that's with most outdoor fields out there. So I can't complain about this.
Overall, I think that this field will serve those with experience in paintball and have their own equipment better than first timers and renters.
Quest is one of the few places I've been in the last couple of years. Quest is the best yet.
I decided to write this review so that Quest could get some feedback related to their field and operational adequacy as well as to inform the public of the quality of service demonstrated. I am not a seasoned paintballer like many of the people playing these days, yet I still managed to have a great time the last couple of visits. The equipment was nearly flawless (besides one gun which was quickly replaced) , and the staff seemed accommodating. With the various terains and intense atmosphere, me and my friends managed to enjoy the most entertaining day of summer. This however was not this summer but last. When trying to book a field this year , I was told that i could join a group of around thirty. Yet, when i had gotten a group of friends together and tried to confirm my booking, I was told that this group wouldn't want joiners. The Man at the Pro shop told me i could drive 45min (from west edmonton) and sit to see if anyone would let us play. After all the effort i went through, i got to talk to a disrespectfull man who didn't bother to give me the info needed to plan ahead. Considering that I didn't recieve a chance to go to the field because of there poor customer skills, I have to give this a poor rating. I love the field and workers, but it's hard to get good info. about bookings.
I have been playing at Quest for adventure for over 3 years, and before that I used to come to QFA all the time as just a renter. Their town setup is probally one of the best in western canada as shown by the pics on their website, they have a large variety of field and this in combonation with its unique topography makes it a unique and exceptional experiance. They use mostly newer 98 Custom's the grey one's. Cleaning supplies and toliet facalities are always available and cleaner than alot of other places i've seen. This is easily one of the best outdoor fields in the Edmonton and Alberta Area, if you dont beleive me go try it out there
this is the best field in the Edmonton area and the I found the staff very nice, friendly, and personable. And as for this swearing ref, I have been there at least 25 times and I have only herd one swear word (S***!) when a worker dropped a bottle on his foot. I also think that the only bad things on the field are some of the rental guns (the ZAP's) and the speedball field when it isn't set up for a tourney. On the flip-side of things, The best things about the field are the staff, the big games and most of the fields. I have to also mention that the staff more often than not has supplied me with free CO2, advice and O-rings.

Well I went there about a year back and it was an interesting experience to say the least.
To start off the rentals were ok. They had some Piranah's, 98's, but mostly old Zap 400's which barley shot. One good aspect about the equipment was that we got to wear their brand new V-Force Armour's which are better than most rental masks .Paint wasn't very good though, as most of it bounced or swerved away in the opposite direction, which was probably caused by al the chopped paint in the barrel. Also the paint was oily and stainde my pants.
As for the staff, well as one our reff felt it necesary to swear as much as possible during his saftey and rules explanation, even when I was with my church youth. Also at one point he took off his mask in the middle of a game to talk to some of the players. I surprised he didn't get shot.
There speedball field was quiet pethetic when I went there, and there only decent fields were the town and one of the forest ones. Dissapointing since I prefer speed.
Overall I wasn't thrilled with the staff or the equipment and my pants got ruined. But hey it's still paintball.
