Worst experience playing paintball EVER! continually frustrated by Refs lack of experience or effort and constant issues just trying to get air refills including taking so long you miss several open games. Customer service is horrible and prices are downright outrageous.
The fields themselves are fun to play on and some of the players that go here are great to play with but will not return.
1 paintball and another one i forgot, its south houston, muddy muddy place
The fields are great, great wide open areas that are woods like looks and great for tactical play. I played before the hurricane came and it did have more open areas but they did not rebuild some thing but they are still great. They are strict on the safety guideliness, the mask they remind you constantly about it before and after you enter, along with your barrel plug. Everytime i have gone my gun gets set at the speed limit.
What would be great is if all of you would share the prices of the place so i will because i have not seen none
Entry fee with your own equipment $22
If You buy stuff from them, they jack up their prices like crazy, so make sure to bring everything you have extra.
CO2 refill 5 for like a 9oz
Batteries 3 for a 9v
everything is so jacked up its crazy
First of all the fields are vergy good, densly wooded and though out well. This is the only good thing about this place. NO safety meeting at ALL!!!! Referees were very lax when explaining game rules and boundaries. Referees were constantly getting in yelling matches with the players during the game to explain the rules while the game was going on. Overall I witnessed several confrontations (both screaming and borderline physical) between players that I contribute directly to the minimal control the referees enorced. I did not feel safe or comfortable playing at this facility. When I brought this to the attention of the OWNER Larry, he said "he has been in business for 25 years so it can not be all that bad". My concerns were brushed aside and I was treated as if I were a child telling on his big brother. I will not return.
Points of contention:
1. $90.00 for a case of field paint ( you have to use field paint for ALL rented equipment)
2. Pay per HPA (air)or CO2 fill (only partial fills can be performed because the euipment is broke) I paid $3.00 for 2000psi HPA
3. No safety meeting!!
4. No pre-game meetings to explain rules or boundaries
5. Expect to get BONUS BALLED all day long (shot after you call yourself out)
6. Lots of testosterone flying around and the referees are the one slinging it
7. Owner talks down to his paying customers
8. Not enough referees to ref games on these types of fields
DO NOT TAKE KIDS OR LADIES TO THIS FACILITY
If this was the first place I took my son to play paintball I would never have played a second game ever.
I registered here specifically so that I can hopefully prevent my experience happening to other players.
Out of all the fields I have ever played at, this field is the only one where I saw players repeatedly walking around without barrel plugs in and their guns gassed up and ready to fire outside the paintball field. I alerted the employees and the number of players that did this did go down however it still occurred. I also witnessed several players shooting at the shooting range without a face mask and even one player shooting his gun at a dumpster some 30 yards away from where i was sitting without a face mask on. Every other paintball field is very strict in their safety rules, but this one was severely lacking.
If you don't want to get hurt, then don't play. I took a close shot to the neck. Oh, well. If you can't take the pain, don't play the game. I saw a couple of guys try to stay in even though they took a direct shot to the head. If you get shot, own up to it. No one likes a cheater. I also saw a couple of guys shooting blind. Not cool. Don't be a wuss. Look before you shoot.
As for the ref's; they are fair and care about safety. Having your mask on is common sense. Before you enter into the playing area, you should have your mask on. Wait till you are outside the playing area to take it off. Enough said.
We went in a group of 25 and all had a great time. If you're reading this and are about to go for your first time, don't be afraid to ask the refs questions about anything and everything before the start of the match.
Lastly, if you're on a budget, then check out Academy of other paintball supply stores.
Take Beltway 8 by the Airport, exit Aldine Westfield, go south on Aldine Westfield, make a left on Aldine Meadows, the second street on the left hand side.
Went out to play last sunday, had a blast!!
Great refs and great fields! Personally enjoyed the urban style paintball, in Western Town. Its a fast paced game with structures to hide behind. Just helps out experienced players as well as the beginners to have extra cover.
Would recommend to friends! I plan to play there many more times.
Also found a great tech there! Willing to help people out and knows a lot about the sport. Been doing air tech work for over 10 years.
okay, i have waited a few days to list this review because i was so disgruntled about about my experience. first off, there was no safety meeting.as far as i saw i was the only one CHRONO'D!!!!! And get this, they chrono at 270 or less!!!!!!! I asked the staff manager if he had an allen wrench so i could adjust my fps, he looks around and says" uhhhh, nah, but i do have some for sell". Then , i came back in to ask if they had some goggle spray or anything that would clean goggles, and he say's " uhhh, i dont see any" so i say, do u have some for sell? he looks around and says no. to skip ahead, when i paid at the end i saw a box on the front top shelf that they use to clean thier guns. So back to the beginning: So i finally made my way to the field to play my first game and no one takes the time to show boundaries or rules etc., but they did place me with a team. This day the team Archangels scenario team was there and the other guys that were playing were more like a wanna be group scenario team which was ok but out of fifteen or so guys i saw none being chrono'd. GET THIS: THE REFS INCLUDING THE STAFF MANAGER WORE NOTHING BUT PAIR OF GOGGLES WITH NO UPPER OR LOWER PROTECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first game i got over shot by 7+ paintballs within twenty feet of the shooter and within ten feet of the staff manager. His reply" what am i supposed to do when the guns are automatic!' holy crap! are u kidding me, automatic and burst fire are accepted at this field, yet no one seems to think that the new people should know this before hand in a safety meeting!!!!!!!! listen, i play every weekend saturday and sunday sometimes mondays also and i have never felt so disrespected or uninformed. i will be going back because of my curiousity for the field do to my gun breaking after the first game.
So, after my gun broke after the first game i decided to call it quits especially after what happened. so i go to the front desk and the owner is there, i relay to him the problems that i had with not knowing of the fully auto, and no safety meeting, he states" well most semi auto fire faster anyway" totally ignoring the fact that what i said was relevant. so i told him i was ready to pay and go do to my gun being broke, but he never offered a raincheck or no field fee. but thats ok i guess, i guess it seems to be okay to let one new person leave mad for thier first experience at a new field. considering i have about ten or more friends that i play with i guess they will be losing alot more than one guy. so the moral of the story is that if u want rules , safety, orginization or even fairness, do not go here. no kids , women or even beginners should go to this place, please take head to my warning.
I only have a few things to say and none are good.
Torn Down Fields
Players Turn Up Guns
People Take Masks Of On Fields
Compressed Air Is Only a 3000

Note: DON'T GO HERE
SAVE YOUR MONEY
Lord....USA #1 (both locations), BSG (Houston), Tactical Paintaball (Fourney), Blacklands/ViperPaintball(Mt Pleasant), Sudden Impact Paintball (Giddings, Texas), Sherwood Forest (La Porte IN), The Bunkers (Copperas Cove TX), Lone Star paintball (huntsville), Ft Blanding MOUNT Site (Ft Blanding FL)...you know what....a lot...I played at a LOT of places. LOL
Directions to the Field:
North bel....exit Aldene Westfield, turn at the schoool. Its past the high school at the end of the road.
I've been playing paintball for well over 10 years and I have to say...this is without a DOUBT the worst field I've ever played.
I went there with my girlfirend for her first "Scenario" game. The players were nice...MOST of the reffs were too. But saftey here is horrible. The chrono station was mask OFF!!!! there was very little netting on the field. At one point I found us shooting into the stageing area! I had to point this out to a ref...then explain to him why it was a bad idea?!?! No Fire rate cap! They were good about checking chornos...thats about the only positive thing I can say about saftey...
Cost wise...Field paint only at the event but the Do allow off field paint durring regular play. they charge PER AIR FILL!!! No all day air...and get this...larger tanks cost more to fill!! My 48 cost 6 bucks....my 88 stubby cost 7 bucks...and my 88 long was EIGHT!!!
The owner and co-owner (think it was his son) are nice...but you can tell...its very obvious....its all about the $ because the second you don't want to spend money...they dont have time for you.
While the game was fun...the saftey and the cost were disgusting. Save your money and your EYES....go somewhere ESLE!!!!
Simple to get to if you just hit "Map" at the top of this page.
Went out with a couple friends to try this place out; our usual field was closed. If you want to play speed ball, this is not the place for you.
Safety: This bothered me a lot while I was out there. Refs should set an example for the others out there, but there was one ref who wore only the goggles part of a mask, leaving his mouth and ears exposed. Also, a couple of times I had to ask people to put thier barrel plugs in; the refs had not noticed.
Prices: When I went, it was 20$ entry if you had your own gear, and 25$ entry if you rented. Rentals included a tippman 98, 12 OZ. CO2 tank, 200 round hopper(held on by a rubber band), and non-thermal goggles.
You could use your own paint if you brought your own gun. I recomend you do not come to this field unless you have your own gun and paint. Not that a 5 dollar rental fee is bad, but the fact that you must use field paint in a rental can kill you in terms of price. If you go out to Command Post Paintball(Airtex and I-45) you can pick up a box of "Heat" for 33$. My friend who rented said he paid 70$ for his box of field paint(Also "Heat").
If you have a HPA tank, it is 7$ a fill. I sat out the last two games, because I didn't want to spend the money for another fill.
Fields: The fields I played on were "Vietnam Village" "Castle" and "Western". I heard someone mention another field, but we were out there all day and never played on it. Some were very one sided, and they all had deep mud where you wanted it least.
Rules: Note that arms, legs, and gun do NOT count, only crotch, torso, and headshots score.
Facilities: Something I really liked was they had an indoor womens restroom. Guys, not so lucky.
Give this field a 3/10. The fields were not as good as they could have been. Prices could get a bit out of hand, and telling players to aim for head and groin seems wrong.
