Hello

I just bought a 98c yesterday. It came with a expansion chamber but I have what might be a stupid question. I have never had a paintball marker before sp bare with me please
when I pull the bolt back it makes a loud clank sound in the first 1/2" after I get passed that point there is no sound. It's like a metal on metal sound. If I pull the bolt back 1/2" and push on it slightly and let go it will stay in that position for a sec or two then go back to its start position. I don't notice it when im shooting. I would go back to the place I got it from but its 2 hours away and its kinda a pain to get there.

its not the power tube and bolt since they are plastic there will be no metal sound get my drift? but i think its the rear bolt and the sear connecting wich is perfectly normal and happens on every sequence. if you have any questions on how the blow back design works let me know.

:dodgy:
wanna prove it..?

with the bolt all the way forward(also known as uncocked)
it rests inside the powertube...
SO...
when you start pulling it back to cock it...
it slips out of the powertube and onto METAL
hmm... metal bolt on metal shells... could this be the metal on metal noise he was talking about..? hmm...
your not going to catch the sear in the first 1/2 inch...
the bolt comes out of the powertube in about the first cm...
it takes about 2-3 times that far to engage the sear...
which makes a click noise... not the clack of metal dropping on metal...

i'd like you to try something paintmepurple...
think... and then post... always in that order...
