Well, for rec ball, not being seen is probably the most important thing you can do.

You need to master snap shooting, left and right handed, from various positions. There are many drills and articles about "Playing Tight", the best of which are found at http://www.p8ntballer.com

It's been proven that adrenaline reduces your hearing by 30% because your body needs to react. This goes back to the flight or fight instinct. Don't push too hard unless you have an excellent back player supporting you.

If you're defending/camping/watching flanks you need to be slow and precise.

Practice makes perfect. Good luck Stalker.

One thing to remember when you play is to have as much information as possible.

This means, have the people behind, fron, and to the side of you communicate the position of opponents. That way you know where to shoot and when to come out shooting.

Next, you yourself need to be scouting. Pop you head out every now and then, never from the same spot, and check out where your opponents are.

Basically, you want to use a bunker as a tool to defend your self while attacking your opponent. You do not want your opponent to use your bunker against you, trap you behind it, and bunker you.

I've found one of the best ways to learn what you are doing wrong, and how to be a better player, is to ref. When you get taken out put your equipment down and act as the ref for your friends.

This allows you to "see" the whole picture. When you are behind a bunker you don't realize the other guy is doing the same thing and most likely you cold move and he wouldn't even know it...Watch the whole game and see where you can improve your game.

I remembered the first few times I had played, I was getting bunkered constantly. One thing I was doing wrong was that I was using the bunker for the wrong purpose! to hide! I now know that to use the bunker effectively you shouldn't be afraid to utilize the shape of it to your advantage as well as backing off of it about 3-4 feet to get a better view of the field. You should use it to cover you not trap you behind it. I also found out that once you start playing pop up with the other guy, you've lost unless you bunker him or move. Now, I just use brush and some bunkers here and there, always remember, a bunkers real purpose is to means to an end, meaning you need to get to point c from point a and point b is the bunker. Stay there for a few seconds to a minute until you get adjusted to were you are going. One thing I know for sure is that when you are playing on a rec field with about 40-70 people, you need to keep moving or someone is either going to bunker you, flank you are keep you hosed down with paint until you are trapped behind a bunker. Anyhow, when its all said and done, have fun and don't be afraid to experiment with different terrain and bunker setups.
