I have searched all the other threads but I found no info info on this. If there is please direct me to it.
Has anyone ever tried drilling and tapping the plastic trigger so it can be adjusted like the check-it one. It is possible I was looking at it tonight. My only worry is making the trigger weak that it may break.
The other thing I was thinking of is to super glue a little piece of plastic on the front of the trigger were the set screw would be thus cutting down on the slack too.
Which way is the better way to go and has anyone tried it.

I drilled and tapped two 8-32 set screws into my plastic then metal trigger. One at the top to remove the pre-travel and one just below the microswitch to adjust the post-travel. The pre-travel is nearly non-existant so the set screw only pokes out a hair. Remember to use Locktite on the set screws, particularly if you hand tap them instead of using a drill press.
My trigger is now super short and comparable to an Angel.
BTW if you went and bought a T-handle tap wrench, a tap, drill bit, and two set screws it would cost you less than buying a $30 Check-It trigger. And then you could tap set screws into anything.
I'll get some pics later.

Pic of my stock plastic trigger with two set screw holes drilled and tapped for an 8-32 screw.

Pic of my M3 metal trigger. The pre-travel set screw has to be adjusted with the trigger removed (very annoying). You cannot set it since it's in the top of the trigger pushing against the front of the frame. A better method would be to drill an angled hole from the top of the frame towards the bottom front edge of the trigger. That way you could adjust the pre-travel with the frame removed but with the trigger installed.
In this pic you can see the trigger resting against (but not pushing) the microswitch. Below there you can see the set screw I installed. This can easily be adjusted from the front of the trigger. I have it set to stop the trigger as soon as the microswitch is activated. Makes for fast semi-auto mode with a sweet spot if you put light pressure on the trigger.

I did the mod on my plastic trigger, I also made it more flat. It makes it so I can fan the triggter with my hand still on the grip at full speed, 10bps. It is very nice, helped it a lot.
