I tried using a wrench, but it seems to not get a good enough grip and j ust scratches the cap..

What kind of Imp do you have, stock? All front end caps are just screwed on. What makes it tight is an o-ring. Take off your barrel and LPR if you have one. Take a mouse pad or something rubbery and wrap that around the valve and give it a good turn with your hand or wrench if needed.

i use a wrench, but i put a soft cloth over the cap so it doesn't scratch it (i tried it the 1st time without a cloth and now it's scratched:( )

What will happen if I dont clean the valve? Cause that thing won't come off!
