Vertical Feed Or Power Feed

Im Buying A Piranha STS G3, im wondering should i take a left side power feed or a vertical fee, i would preffer a right side power feed, but if its on the left i want a vertical feed, i have 2 major questions,

1. Is Vertical feed better, what are the pros and cons?

2. Can you switch which side the power feed is going off too?,

vert feed will feed faster, the power feed cannot be moved from side to side.

hey Joe welcome to the thread. The only gun w/ a right power feed is a minimag. I say get Vertical feed, they feed 1.5 times faster then power. Also you dont have to pay an extra 3 bucks to buy an elbow.

What does power feed do anyway?

it has a small opening to allow for air to escape in blowback guns.

I got the same gun as you are getting (the STS G3), although I opted for a special edition the local store was offering (CO Paintball for those who care), which only came with the vertical feed. It's a great gun, but I was having tons of problems with blowback not allowing the balls to feed quick enough, causing the gun to chop balls all the time.

My solution to this problem was to buy a 12v Revolution. I haven't had a ball chop since. You may be able to get by with the 9v model, but I paid the extra $10 in case I ever upgrade to a higher-end marker.

Hey thanks, ive been up the wallz trying to figure out which to get, i didn't want the ammo box in front of my head because i was going to lose all the visability in front of my face, but i was hoping for a right side because i like the sight rail, but you cant have your cake and eat it too right?! so i guess ill be going with the vertical feed im going to post a new thread about Piranhas sts g3 im trying to find out what people think if i should buy a diff gun or not
