hey guys. im looking into the m3 sniper and i like what i see. im jsut wondering what u guys think of them any common problems tehy have, upgrades, any special things to do to care for them, how fast are tehy really, is the lcd good, r the grips comfortable, does the guage work well, does it chop badly, nitro or co2. keep in mind this is my first electro and im looking for something relatively simple. i dont want the elecronics goin haywire on me. i normally play woods but i do fancy speedball. thanks for all the help.

When I first got my m3 sniper I had to replace all the o-rings because they were like almost gummy or somthing. The gun has alot of kick when you fire it at high pressures (right out of the box) its also loud. You definitely need a revy if you get it and I reccomend running it off nitro. it's a whole different world with nitro. if you have to use co2 get an anti-syphon tube to put in it. you'll get better gas efficiency if you get a few good upgrades (make it LP). Good upgrades for this gun is Check it products stuff like there full force delrin bolts and sweet spot trigger. they also have somthing called an assault block that puts you foregrip at an angle and has a spot for a guage. it allows for a slightly better gas flow.
you can get these parts at www.paintballgateway.com. the lcd is awesome as with all bd's. the lcd is pretty easy to understand and read. (it's lighted) here's a good website on how to make your gun LP http://www.ottersccustoms.com/ (http://http://www.ottersccustoms.com/) once you make your gun lp you will barely chop at all (i chop about 1 in 5000 balls)
the grips are good'ol bd grips. nothin special about them. there thick, though. some people say you should tape your handle before you play so your lcd doesn't get screwed up. thats a bunch of bs. you don't need to worry about being shot in the frame cause it won't do any damage (hopefully). there are no aftermarket grips that fit the lcd frame yet. you'll probably want to get a aluminum trigger like a sweet spot trigger because it comes with a plastic trigger. the gauge is cheap but OK for a first electro. if you really wanna get somthing good get a bob long torpedo reg or a palmer stabilizer for co2. it works for both, though. I haven't had any serious problems yet with my gun except for the freakin o-rings. also you might want to get a new valve eventually like a taso turbo valve or somthing. they really can shoot 20bps! everyone thinks its a gimmick (exept the bd owners and people who have shot them) but don't try to shoot 20bps with a revy 12v. you gotta have somthing fast (like a halo or somthing) the barrel is a stock barrel. nothing special about it. get a different barrel when you get the money. look at some of the upgrade threads on the message board. look at this one.

well I hoped I helped out a bit and the patriot sniper is a good investment for the lcd frame it has on it. it's awesome.
