View Full Version : Paintballs=Acid...whats in these things?!!?

I was testing out my freinds gun inside my place (large video studio, firing the paint against some boards on the wall...

This was about 2 days ago, everything was cleaned up, I was moving stuff around and found a ping pong ball sitting in a puddle, beside a paintball, of paint, the ping pong ball is 1/2 mushy plastic, the paint actually disolved it.

I was wondering WHY it did this, and whats inside these things...If something can dissolve plastic, I dont want to much going into my blood streme (NO i wont quit paintball, id rather die :P)

well, they are colored vegetable oil. What kind of paint was it??

Birght red, orange fill, tottaly turned 1/2 the ball to mush, its freaky :P

Soggy? No way its melted, I can play with the stuff in between my finger, its like silly putty haha :P

yeah i know what you mean.

my friend and i decided to go ape **** in my room with my new mag and we wasted about 2-3 hoppers on the walls and i cleaned up most of it before my parents came home, but i noticed that on my bedside lamp, the paint droplets actually corroded the brass! HAH. i love paint.

Ya, i tested it out with some paint and a new paingpong ball, i covered the shell, when i woke up, the ball is just a puddle :()?

That explains the excruciating pain and 2nd degree burns. I've got to quit eating this stuff.

haha mine did but you know what i did in retalliation? (this happened 2 nights ago) i went into THEIR room and shot their tv and locked my gun up so they cant do jack **** to me! I AM...INVINCEEEBULL!

Could this melting be because of the reactions between oil and plastic?:confused:

And THORE didn't the paintballs leave marks in the drywall and wouldn't the paint splatter stain bedsheets, the carpet, and other fabrics.:eyes:

i have white wallpaper and that is stained to high heaven, along with my comforter, bed sheets, dressers, floor...basicly, everything in my room either has paint chips on it or a thin green layer of paint on it. i dont think i can ever get it all cleaned up even though ive tried and gotten some of it up.
