I'm speaking on behalf the forum when I say there is just to much spam. Of course somethings I can tolerate but seeing 50 "Which Barrell Should I Buy" or "What gun is best" threads flooding the Blowback/General Forums sections (only 2 i really visit) gets really annoying. Right now I am making a list of people who I have caught spamming and done nothing about it. They are: Paintballer502. I thought I should put SEPHIROTH_086 but I only gave him one chance. I do believe everyone should get two chances, I clearly told Ztargac that 7 threads a day is way to much. He responded by cutting them down and actually contributing to the forum. I ask all other members to voice their oppinions here until something gets done about this. Please mods do something about this, boot them out or just close the threads, but somethings got to happen or the forum is just going to end up killing itself.
Thank you for your time,
Matt

Is it possible to have a profile that does not show the number of posts. I mean you can have a rank... novice, beginner, professional, god, etc. but not a number...

i don't know if you can consider that a SPAM. I mean if i was a new paintballer coming into this forum with a question, how am i supposed to know what was already posted. and honestly if i was a totally new guy, i wouldn't go looking if that same question was already posted.

The problem is, we have 20 people come into each forum every day, and ask the same question as the 20 people did the previous day. It's not their fault.
What we really could use is some sort of FAQ, or some sort of "permanent post"
Ex: have a permanent post in the General and Newbies forums titled, "What's the best gun?" and have the regulars/moderators compare the Spyders, tippmans, and other various entry-level guns. Then, find a way to keep it up there. Delete any other threads that ask the same question.
In the end, you don't really have to pay attention to the same questions. You can just ignore them, and it won't make any difference to you.

That'd work great, but still there's the fact of the stupid polls that just flood the general talk. I say take away the polls all together.

The following things need to be done (and yes, I know, some have already been mentioned):
1.) Put a sticky FAQ in each forum, explaining how to use the search to find any information they're looking for.
2.) Get rid of the frickin polls. 80% of the GF posts are polls, and all of them are worthless.
3.) Ban obvious spammers (*cough* sephiroth_086 | slikna99 *cough*).
4.) REMOVE the post count and rank. It's like all the kiddies think that because they don't have a cool title below their name, then they've got to spam. EVERY message board I've been to that has some sort of post counting features on it, has also had SPAM.
5.) Great forums & site admin, keep up the good work.
