I believe that the Tippman Custom 98 is the best gun for under $300. You can get it for $125 from http://www.shop4paintball.com

It is the most reliable, upgradeable, all-around performance gun for anyone who doesn't want to blow a hole through their wallet.

If you don't like the Tippmans, Try a Spyder TL, TL+, Xtra, or SE. They are also very good guns.

yea i agree with everyone here the best guns to start with is either a spyder or tippmann thats under 150 bucks

Spyder Xtra! I paid 170 but you cant find a better gun for the price.

Diablo Inferno Heat is a great gun. It can compete with all the higher priced guns and gos 4 about $130 at DropZonePaintball.com

My friends have spyders, and they suck, they break down every time we play, but me and about 3 other guys run 98's and pro carbines and they rule. get a 98 custom, you will be very happy, just upgrade the barrel

if they were breaking down that much then it was the user not the gun. i have had my spyder for a while now gone through about two cases with it and not a problem.

get a spyder Xtra or a JT excel 4.0 or jus get a classic mag,they dont cost that much and theyre kinda nice....i started out with a Diamond GT Limited and its pretty good,i got a lot of eliminations.....now i got a FREEFLOW (god,i love that gun)

I think the best guns for under $150 would be either a TLplus or else a Tippmann 98. Best guns for $150-$200 I think would be Spyder Xtra or JT Excellerator 3.0. I paid $170 for my Xtra. It is definately worth it.
