How good is the progressive barrel on the impulse?
I tend to hang toward the back, because I've got 2 bad knees and titanium implants in my spine, so I can't go up front effectively. I need something that has some accuracy and distance. Will the progressive work until I can get a freak.
Is the freak worth the money? Thanks

if you play rec stick with progressive...if you play in tournies look into the freak or a scepter system (scepter is my favorite barrel system). Or you can do whati did with my cocker and get a new all american and when u start gettin into tournies or feel the needto upgrade get a freak back and like 2-3 inserts. Hoped i helped

Not sure about the Progressive barrel, but I think my freak is worth the money for sure since i shoot all kinds of differant paintballs.

The freak is a pretty low quality barrel, i think when your ready to upgrade your stock you should go for an ultralite. But for the time being your stock progressive will do fine.

Think of it this way.... its pretty good for a stock barrel.
I think its a great stock barrrel, but the freak is worth it if you shoot lots a different paint.

Unless they come up with a tournament scenario featuring 30 year olds who move like maryland crabs, I'm not going to be playing in tournaments. I just play rec ball in the woods on my local course which lets me use my own paint.
So basically, if i play with one type of paint, the freak is kind of excessive. Thanks for the info.
